🔥 Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on RUclips yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. All the written patterns are FREE to access on my website
How can I print the pattern from your website? Do you have downloadable PDF's? Not at this time no. This may change in the future but for now, I only provide the written pattern directly on my website.
Can you remake this video so it is slower? If the video speed is too fast, you can slow it down! 😀 See this video on exactly how: • How to Adjust the Spee...
Why do you use American stitch terminology? I learnt using USA stitch terms, long before I even knew there was a difference between UK & US terminology! American terms are my "first language" so to speak. If you need a conversion chart, I have one here! www.hookedbyrobin.com/crochet...

Robin, you’re the very best teacher. I’ve been crocheting for a long time. Just picked it up again, and watch RUclips for new patterns and stitches. You have a natural talent for tutorials. Thank you for the beautiful patterns, yarns, and your tutorials. I’ve learned much from you💗💗. Thanks for sharing🌸
Thank you so much! 😊
I never would have thought of putting off-white next to white, but it does make for a beautiful gradation of colors, and luckily I have in my stash all the colors you used in Simply Soft - so I’m on my way to start this today!!
I appreciate that you give the stitch multiples and then "end with X number of chains." This gives me what I need to determine width of blankets without ending up with extra chains or being short on the first rows. Thank you. One request if possible, an idea of how many yards/ounces for a certain size would be helpful, but certainly not necessary.
Your really making a row of upright shells then a row of upside-down shells. That is really neat. Definitely gonna use this one.
I absolutely adore you! You are the first person (tutorial) that has been able to make sense to my ADD adult brain!
Thank you so much Jennifer, I have ADHD so I can relate.🤗🥰
Hi Robin, thanks so much for sharing this lovely stitch .
I have already almost finished my blanket which I’m going to present to my elder brother ( he is 83 years old) like my father figure.
He has never taken a single present from me so thought this was the best present ever, to keep him warm this winter and more to come.
I used the Red Heart Super Saver yarn and it has come out so lovely 😊 thanks to you again for the lovely and very well explained tutorial 😍👍
Love all your tutorials though so thought must thank you, appreciate a lot 🤗🤗God Bless ❤️👍👍
The colors chosen are soothing and soft. I think it would be a warm and cozy blanket. The pattern and colors chosen remind me of a Victorian flower garden.
This pattern is one of my very favorites. It is so very easy to work on. I can do it while I watch tv & still be able to keep up with the show I’m watching & not have to do much counting! Thanks so much for this! 😃
The one in the gray and creamy colors is elegant. You have a good eye for color.
Thank you!

Excellent tutorial, love this stitch
Thank you! I love your color choices.
Very nice and easy to follow. Thank you. God bless.
New viewer here.. I love your videos. You explain and demonstrate so clearly. I really appreciate that.
I haven't crocheted much in the last couple years. I did more when my grandkids were smaller. But now, I have another younger granddaughter. I also am happily awaiting the arrival of one grand niece, and twins; grand niece & nephew.
So I dug through my tubs of yarn to start some blankets.
(Yes, I do have a yarn problem 😉). And I ordered some new too. So your videos showing the lovely patterns is so helpful. (even if you didn't create them)
PS. as someone who has a long time granny square project, I was thrilled to find out about Red Heart's new
"All On One Granny Square" yarn! I know it's not perfect, some reviewers have mixed results and feelings about it. But the weaving in of 4 or 5 strings per square is a big part of why, I keep putting the project in a back closet. I can't wait to finish the baby blanket I'm working on now, soi can get that yarn and finally finish my "Rosanne" Granny blanket!
Absolutely Beautiful!!!! Girl,,, tou make "changing colors" look easy ... I am so clumsy with it but I know in time it will come to me. I love love love the one of many colors. That is definitely a "keeper"!!!
Happy Stitching❤
It feels a bit fiddly at first but it soon becomes second nature to finish the stitch with your new colour 😃 x

@@HookedbyRobin Caron Blossom Cakes! I have all of the color ways and am repeating the cream color in between two rows of each color. Lovely! I saw that you used Caron Simply Soft for your original and love how the shine and little yarn fray looks so plush. I think I may have to do a third :)
That sounds lovely and definitely do a third.🧶
