- This is a hard mode speed run of X-Men Legends II. More a proof of concept than fully optimized, but I think the stat and skill/point allotment is mostly correct though obviously a lot of time can be saved. Just an upload for now to document my current routing ideas.

i did my first Solo playthrough as Gambit :)

Nightcrawler is so powerful.
@dark child not seeing how bishop's superconductor would be even remotely useful. it'd just waste an xtreme token that would be better used on master of chaos, which basically instantly ends almost all combat scenarios and the only other power i use all that much is teleport frenzy which due to a design oversight already costs 0 EP (as long as you have enough to cast it).
ironman also isn't that useful as attack speed is not nearly as important as movement speed. combat scenarios you actually need to complete are few and far between (with most being boss fights that nightcrawler can beat near instantly). you're usually better off running with toad offering a movement speed buff to the party (that's also a damage buff), gambit using an individual movement speed buff (and also having a damage buff), and bishop having a passive movement buff that works in towns (xavier also has a passive movement buff which is roughly twice as good as bishop's but bishop has the additional benefit of being able to solve a puzzle in act 3 that xavier would have to go around, which more or less negates any benefit from xavier as you spend very little time in towns as is, and otherwise the gambit/toad tandem should be faster (the only other debate is whether nightcrawler's or deadpool's teleport is even faster, but it's much harder to control and nightcrawler sacrifices too many skill points from strike into focus (costing valuable combat time) to make it theoretically viable)). switching characters is also usually a bad idea as it adds at least 20 seconds of time to the run with loadscreens plus whatever additional time it takes to add levels to that character/walk out of the way to reach the xtraction point.
How about doing a Sonic Heroes speed run
considering i've never played that game and the size and proficiency of the sonic speedrunning community, i'm not thinking that would make much sense.

im not a speed runner so i use iron man's motion amp with gama disks

I have game cube and I would like to try it. Looks really cool
When you start a game on default hard level , you can rearrange the stat and skill points before starting , it's not leveling up just reallocating.
You just can't do every character or the game will crash.

You're welcome. Since you have to beat the game on normal to unlock hard mode and you can carry over the saved stats when you start a new game , this isn't a commonly used tactic.
You start the hard default mode at level 45 , but you won't have the extra skill points you can earn in the danger room nor will you have any equipment from your carried over game.

you did it with gambit staff assault 3:21 that flashing thing. please tell me what it is called i would love to try it
just assigning powers? you hold z and press what button you want to use the power. there's also a glitch where buffs are only supposed to be able to assigned to x but if you have a power assigned to b or a and try to assign that power to x, the boost will swap to be usable in the b or a slot allowing you to assign a different boost to x (which i do use on gambit to have both energy form and energy fury available).

I think if you had utilized Bishops superconducter xtreme you could save a lot of time especially if you changed teams (perhaps using ironman) for the more step by step boss fights

you can pay off deathstrike!!!! what i did not know that
it's only available to brotherhood characters (which includes deadpool) and wolverine cannot be on the team as he has a special dialogue with deathstrike that overrides the payment option.

Oddity GC lol. i just moved, and haven't had time/set up the game cube. at this point i have routed hard mode and 100% as well as easy any% but the game seems to have a glitch that causes the game to soft-lock when you level up at the end of a danger room session which causes obvious problems on 100% (plus i'm not sure i have enough space to capture a 4 and a half hour run so i'd have to just stream to twitch). meanwhile hard mode any% is actually faster than easy any% because of how broken master of chaos is, but i never got a run i was happy with before moving.
Ah I see lol. You should let me know whenever you stream and whats your channel, I'm on Twitch alot.
i tend not to stream if i have any intent of recording as i've had experiences with it dropping frames. but my channel is wfp9 (not that there's really anything there at present).

What is the flashing thing that you did to get everyone stronger
i'm not sure what you're referring to. toad and gambit/bishop, each have buffs that increase damage to the entire party.
