X-Men Legends 2 Solo hard mode starting with level 21 Deadpool - pt 1 Grizzly

- Enemies being level 50+ is quite scary with a level 20+ character!
This would have been MUCH easier with a level 28 Nightcrawler, but also kinda no challenge.
Deadpool seems the best char for this after l28 Crawler, because his Sword Attack has ridicolous scaling with Strike.
I am cheesing quite a bit using energy dmg gear which has op if not even bugged scaling with strike.
That being said this is still really hard for many reasons, enemies will always only give scaled xp, so i will level very slowly.
Enemy drops will be mostly useless cuz they will be too high level (at least vendor invent seems scaled to own level)
I do have some items in stash tho, mostly l30 gear and like one l40 belt.
I did NOT cheese my stats by making multiple playthrus before this, this character did not even finish story once, it only finished Act 2, so I'm missing A TON of stat boosts.
The damage I do is 100% legit, no cheats.

I want to comment on this, but I remember playing this game when I was a child, I was going crazy because I couldn't find a video where deadpool had teleport ability. Great content!!

such beautiful epic game man, this is exactly how i love to play it, Solo/Hard and dedicate a full run to all my fav X-MEN
currently doing my SUNFIRE run started Lv15 Hard (was crazy hard at first)
glad to find runs like this, really miss more great games such this existing
and it still such Horrible crime to mutant kind that X-LEGENDS 3 haven't happened yet
Ye bro it's one of my fav games of all time, level 15 on Sunfire sounds insane I tried quite a few chars but ended up going the easy route selecting one of the phys mutants since their scaling with energy is so op haha.
And yes totally agree, xml 3 would have been so much better than Ultimate Alliance, I still played the shit out of those but prefferred xml by far.
feel brother i been a MASSIVE X-men lover since my entire childhood, adore them very deeply beyond words, to me they will always be the single best thing that have ever happened in the Marvel universe and my fav faction of super heroes
so as gamer of course all X-men related games are always a huge deal for me
and i feel you about X-L series been much enjoyable than MUA1
i will always prefer the first 2 X-Legends games over all the MUA series, despite the fact that i do have also appreciation for those games specially MUA1 since it had a very heavy X-men presence to it
i still feel sad inside how MUA2 and 3 basically discarded the amazing nearly perfect formula that X-L2 brought up
they gave you way more options and mechanics in XL2, the ability of allowing you going all solo by simply featuring the 'REMOVE' option
i never understood why that got removed from MUA2 and 3??
i still feel sort of betrayed inside for how team ninja ditched the beautiful formula that XL2 brought
and also another massive complaint i always had is on how nicely and easy for the eyes was to see the simple effects on XL1,2 when you do a Mutant ability you can tell with easy what is going on
but MUA3 is just gets so messy and hard for the eyes to follow what is going on
also hate it how nearly useless the FOCUS feature is for your characters
when you run out of it is just such incredible annoying thing specially when you are fighting OP bosses
i mainly liked MUA3 because of the presence of the X-MEN
That glorious chapter of the sentinels attacking the Mansion X and colossus, cyclops, psylocke, nightcrawler showing up was the reason of why decided to buy the game
but after that i just started to realize how watered down and disappointing many aspects of the game were
honestly i have to say that MUA3 is the most overrated of all in this series
and big reminder of how perfect X L1,2 where even MUA1 for sticking faithfully to the formula of X-L2
I actually never played MUA3 in fact I wasn't even aware there is a 3rd game haha (now I will have to check it out tho lol)
And I totally agree about the remove button, I kind of think XML 1 is a better game than xml 2, but having to suicide your team on every single mission is sooooo frustrating.
Very surprised that you never knew about MUA3 it was all over the place months ago
is not total trash, it does have legit good aspects about it and the combat still fun
i just hated many other things about it
it was a big mix of good and bad for me
i honestly cannot say if i truly hate the game or not?
well i guess i cannot say hate cos my X-men still in there
is just is not as memorable or great as X-L1,2
god i would PAY just to see RAVEN SOFTWARE directing another X-men game...
just wish they would still at the helm
i recommend you to look for MUA3 MANSION X mission in full detail
it was just plain fucking awesome when the X people appeared , Nostalgia hit so hard for me
but another thing you should know is that sadly and for some SHIT stupid reasons MUA3 is an NINTENDO SWITCH EXCLUSIVE game
i do not know why we got degraded into that?
but it still a NSWITCH only
i would like it better if it comes to PS, PC etc

i do love both 1,2 about equally
but i do have to admit that i like X-L2 better because how much refined and fun the combat system felt, the wider variety of mutant powers, characters and the whole replay values of it
i will always have a huge spot in heart for both X-men games
but i tend to play X-L2 much more
that is how truly make a great sequel right there
and never understood why even if both X games where big hits, we got to see at the very least a 3rd installment
but of course only RAVEN could made to dream reality
really miss how badass they were back in the early 2000
Oh ye I don't currently own a console not even a switch so that's likely why it got over my head.
(I'm not even that on top of pc game releases and miss a lot of them haha)
I will definitely check out some footage tho especially the x-mansion.

Totally agree about raven it's the company which made xml games great.
Also totally agree about replay value of xml 2, it's more polished as a game, but playing both games for the first time xml 1 made me feel like I'm replaying the events of a comic book, while 2 felt more artificial storywise.
These days i only ever replay 2, tbf I did rplay 1 on emulator like a year ago or so haha.

for the record CYCLOPS can be totally OP in this game and super to fun to play as for a Solo run
they truly made him the true badass leader of the X-men that he should always been

have you ran into any Bug the keeps on freezing your game for every time you kill an enemy??
it happened to me when i tried to do my full COLOSSUS solo run
it really did depressed me inside ..
I have heard cyclops is super op but i never found out which itemisation is best for him, so for me he always felt kind of ok (but definitely very good just not nearly same level as phys scaling guys)
I don't remember running into that bug, mind you before picking up this game again it's been years where I didn't play, back in the day when it released I might have encountered it and just don't remember.
so about CYCLOPS
is really when you hit Lv15 when the combat makes a huge spin for Scott summers after you unlock AUTO ARTILLERY
it such a crucial skill cos it will Trap and stagger enemies with easy wile you can just continuously shot Beams on enemies wile they are pin in the floor
is freaking hilarious and also gives you the ability of keeping enemies at bay
is just great mixing those Trap gadgets with your Mutant beams and you CQC
you just feel like a complete Commando badass
basically all i use is +DAMAGE boost gear for him since one of his Beam abilities already has Radiation Dmg over time
the + DAMAGE gear is basically all that you need for all characters to be viable for Solo/Hard runs
now if you mix +Damage with +Radiation over time gear than that is when you reach pure OP levels
BTW was glad to see you doing bits of JEAN GREY gameplay
made me realize this would have killed me if it was a Jean solo run
the first solo-Hard run i ever made was with Rogue
then Jean was my second
then i did Cyclops, Gambit, nightcrawler, Colossus, Magneto, scarlet witch etc etc
i would love to someday make a long in-depth solo/hard walkthrough for this masterpiece and to recall the world the great hidden Gem games such this always where
i think i will do a Cyclops run first, mostly out of nostalgic values since he was the very first X-man
i may name it the FIRST X-MAN Run (Scott summers)
yeah am a huge Cyclops fan, but also just love the entire Summers family
from Cyclops father Corseir, to Cable, Havok etc
Oh yeah I probably was missing that trap ability when I tried him, I have to laod up the game one of these days and retry him. :D
Shame that only the regular damage gear works with him, but it's probably a much more fun playthru then just oneshotting everything with phys and broken energy scaling.
(Even tho Nightcrawler 28+ is just a joy to play haha)
For jean i could never find a way to make her fun vs mental resistant enemies, sure you can just punch them with strike gear, but certein enemies like the stepford sisters are very painful to beat with her because they constantly stun you if you just melee.
Cyclops and the summers family are very dope, comics from back in the 80s with the starjammers involved and corsair are always my faves.
