Honestly though, I can’t be the only one who thinks this death was unnecessary. The kids have already been through enough and it’s been well established at this point how evil Chucky is. It’s just shock value and unless it’s fake-out or something it adds nothing to the plot.

When we examine why this happened it was for IRL personal reasons. Annie was 5 months pregnant when season 3 happened she needed to take a break anyway to raise her child they killed her off in this way to hide the fact it was a stunt woman as well.
