I love how interested Brecker is in the other players' solos. Even when he's not playing, he's still analyzing and appreciating all of the music around him. A true legend.

That's says a lot about who Mike was, as a musician and person.

    Timely post. Synchronicity
Juneteenth at Town Hall .There was a celebration and a remembrance of Michele Brecker.
    Joe Lavano, Branford
Mike Maneri, Marcus Printup ,Gerald Cannon Bill Stewart
John Patitucci was instrumental in getting this to Happen!
The talk before the music was quite informative.
I really felt the words coming from Brandford and John Patitucci. John wrote a lovely piece called Hope. it was a duo with John on piano and Branford, which was my favorite part.
There were other fantastic players and no way do I diminish what they offered. The venue has great acoustics.
His family was there, and i'm sure they were proud and happy for the love coming from the players and the audience.

Thanks for the report. I'm sure it was a memorable event. Town Hall is one of my favorite venues in New York.
