I first saw Cobham on TV with the Mahavishnu Orchestra, early 70's, then in 73 he released Spectrum & I became a forever fan.
Me, too.
Hardman and Maupin, two monster talents. Best in the business. Love the way Bennie comes in softly and beautiful.
Oh yes!
I never knew Billy recorded with Horace Silver. Drummer Roger Humphries from Pittsburgh is featured on the Blue Note studio release of "Song For My" and he is a friend of mine. Roger's elder brother was a friend of my father's. This is awesome!!!!!! 🎧😉
They actually didn't record. But Billy worked with Horace for about a year.

Great seeing him work over a standard jazz 4 piece kit. I’m a protege of Greg Bandy.
I've seen Greg many times with Pharoah Sanders
@@JazzVideoGuy He's living in Columbus with his sister. He tells me he's retired which means he's no longer playing.
@@davidcertain2492 It's a tough racket, the Jazz business.
