    I share the same passion you have with your scout. I just bought a mint 2019 bronze Scout Bobber with only 800 miles on it and I absolutely have a love affair with it! Same Vance n Hines slash cut pipes. Like you, I will never get rid of it! Enjoy, brother, and safe riding!

    I rode the Scout at an Indian demo day and really liked the bike...as long as it had the mini-ape bars. Very fast, very nimble, and just fun to ride. Don't worry about not dragging pegs or running on the very outside of the tire. No need to be that aggressive.

    Came here for some Confirmation Bias for my Scout Rogue purchase... stayed for the BRAAAAAP!! I find it revs so high and goes so fast (95mph in 2nd gear!) that I'm only using 4th-5th gear to tune the Vibration out of the mirrors. It runs comfortably at 4000-5000rpm and with redline at ~8300, it can EASILY Rev Up to the mid 7000's on a pull without working too hard. Now that 6th ⚙️ Gear??? That's purely for summoning the Demons of Speed above 120mph... 6th gear is why the speedo goes to 200mph.

  • @zeroneutral

    If you modify the exhaust or intake, do yourself a favor and invest in a Dynojet Power Commander or Power Vision. I recommend the former over the latter for ease of use.
    Then take your bike to a Dyno and get it tuned. Changes the entire experience for the better.
    The Power Commander is easier to tune the bike with. The Power Vision is more difficult. The Power Commander allows for on the fly tuning in the dyno whereas the Power Vision directly reflashes the ECU. Every run requires applying a new flash using the Power Vision thereby consuming more time and may cost more for the tune.
    The difference between the two being the Power Commander stays connected at all times, and if removed, removes the tune. The Power Vision flashes the ECU directly so the device can be removed and tossed in a river and the bike stays tuned. The Power Vision can optionally remain connected in order to display various data from the bike like timing, RPM, engine temp, and much more.

    Lovely bike, brother. I'm a recent member of the 'Tribe', and was wondering if after all this time riding your Bobber, have you ever considered adding a fairing/shield? Admittedly, I'm a 'noob', but I get tired rather quickly when riding at high speeds on the freeway. I absolutely love the minimalist look of my baby, *as is*, but have wondered whether adding a quarter fairing would ruin the look. Advice?

    • @cmatycycles8286
      @cmatycycles8286  2 года назад +1

      It’s definitely gonna alter the look but I don’t think they look horrible with a fairing. Personally it’s not my style and I don’t ride on freeways. The few times I have though I definitely agree about getting fatigued faster and the next day your neck is stiff. I say so what suits your riding style the best and if you ride on the freeways definitely just go for it, make your bike stand out from the rest!

    • @zeroneutral
      @zeroneutral 2 года назад +1

      The cafe fairing from Memphis Shades looks pretty cool and maintains the aesthetic.
      Dunno how effective it is, but better than nothing. To be fair, could actually make your wind worse to the torso. Dunno.

    • @IndianScoutRogue
      @IndianScoutRogue 2 года назад +3

      Totally agree. I got to ride a Chief, Scout Bobber, FTR, & Rogue at a demo day after my Rogue was on order, and I can recall the wind trying to rip me off the bikes above 110mph and really kind of uncomfortable long term in the 75mph+ range (interstate speeds). So I'm glad I've "gone Rogue" with a quarter fairing, even though I'm not a dyna-look or club-style guy, I prefer no fairing... the bike would be less comfortable without it. I think the Memphis Shades fairings are a great way to go and I wish Indian had made the Rogue's shield a quick disconnect. So maybe a Scout or Scout Bobber with Memphis Shades fairing is the best of both worlds. I got the Rogue because it was launched on my 50th birthday & I love the blacked out look. The rest is just a Scout Bobber in all black with a way better factory issued seat, performance sized 19" front wheel (again I prefer the fat tire look of original bobber) and fairing. So if you're smarter than me and want to save a few grand, find a nice used Scout or Scout Bobber for around $7500 then spend ONLY HALF of the $5000 you saved on a fairing, MC Cruise Control, and custom seat. The previous owner probably already bought pipes for you 🤘 & won't recoup his investment.😤

      My Rogue came with factory installed feeler nuts on the bottom outer edges of the pegs, they come to a point at about a half inch of height and are replaceable, should you tame the Tail of the Dragon by "draggin dad-knee" (leaning on a cruiser) thru the twistys. Did the Scouts and Scout Bobbers have those as well, or are you shaving off peg metal on the scrapes? My buddy has custom ground pegs now, legend has it they're more aerodynamically efficient and shave 0.5oz off the dry weight.🤠

This was my first ever bike and I had no experience prior to buying it I just took the motorcycle safety course and went for it. I got this bike for a special price at the fair it was brand new and I got it for 11k. My payment is 257 a month for 5 years of financing. You could look into getting the Indian scout bobber sixty that's gonna put you around that price depending on your credit. To be honest you won't even really notice a difference between the sixty and the regular model. My buddy ordered the sixty and I'll be posting comparison videos when it arrives.
