    Reset your trip odometer at each fill up. That way you are able to determine when to fill up.

      I've been doing that for a few months now. Also lets me gauge how *my* riding is getting me for mpg.

    The most important upgrade that needs to come to the Scout lineup is a Cruise Control. Anything after that is just a bonus in my book.

      Dude yes!!!! Why didn’t I even think about that!! Cruise control would be absolutely amazing, being able to stretch your arms out while riding without losing speed! Great idea brother.

      If you Ride Command system, get a bigger bike. Problem solved. I'm with you on the bigger gas tank.

    130 - 150 miles on a 3.3 gallon tank really isn't bad for an 1133cc motor. My main things I think are a must for Indian to upgrade first on the bike are:
    - Stock LED Headlight
    - Better suspension
    - Fuel guage
    Things that would be nice to have but aren't a must have:
    - Keyless ignition
    - Ride Command TFT display like what's on the Chief Dark Horse.
    - Rider modes
    - Cruise control

    A bigger tank would mess with the look of the bike. It’s a sacrifice of longer rides with less stops vs looks. If I wanted a bigger tank I would go with a different bike. It does suck having to fill up more often though. I don’t think a bigger tank would be achievable without messing with the lines. Spot on about the shocks and display. It would be nice to have some good shocks and the ride command display from the dark horse. Stock seats always suck. I wish the exhaust was shorter and deeper. The long exhaust looks bad and I would like to have the low growl that could come from the factory and within the legal decibel range. I don’t want loud as much as I want it to sound like a low deep growl vs the current scooter sound from the factory.

    • @cmatycycles8286
      @cmatycycles8286  2 года назад +2

      That is very true! And I love the tank design definitely don’t want them to mess with it much. Love the idea about the exhaust, I agree the stock exhaust is ugly and sounds awful!

    100% agree with everything you said. The Indian scout bobber is also my first bike. I got my 2022 scout bobber this year in late August. Something I'd like to see is a led headlight come standard

    You have to ask yourself how is the scout $9800 to $12,000? Then you have to ask yourself whats the competition cost 16, $17,000. It's arguably the sexiest bike out there none comparable at the price point. It's a bike, it's meant yo have the feeling of freedom and adventure It's not a tesla where you have GPS, menus that make more dangerous for the road. I love Indian scout.❤️ at the price point it allows you to customize the bike to what you envision.Had to watch your video again bro💯

    I really want to see a mini bagger based on the scout. With a full fairing and bags they could comfortably adjust the lines on the tank and give it a better fuel capacity. I saw a really good looking scout bagger and someone in the comments suggested it looks like a mini dark horse chieftain. That would sell like hot cakes if it had better range and everything.

  • @TheGarthinator
    @TheGarthinator Год назад +2

    Tbh adding things like the chief speedo, cruise control etc will drive the price up higher, and a lot of things like the grips etc are meant to be bad, so that people can customize their bikes to their liking

  • @spacecoastz4026
    @spacecoastz4026 8 месяцев назад

    Here is what I would like to see.....make the bike fit the rider at "no cost". When you purchase a bike from Indian, I want the choice of bars (either the standard or the mini-apes), I want the choice of a seat (with various models and colors being available, including the 1920 floating seat) and I want the forward controls to be either fully extended or reduced reach. All of those things should not cost the rider additional money.

    Great video. I’m with you on your wish list. The bubbler however, as is, still is the most beautiful bobber out there. What a beauty.

  • @handwear13

    Please, they should put a fuel gauge now. I'm tired of having to reset the kilometers every time I fill the tank. Sometimes I forgot to do it and I didn't know when I should take it again. And it makes me very angry that much cheaper and simpler motorcycles have this mechanism and our enormous Indian Scouts do not have it.

  • @bradleygoodrich5569
    @bradleygoodrich5569 2 года назад +3

    Shocks makes sense but the ride command and fuel tank, just get a bigger bike. What you mentioned is the Indian Chief. Why would you make the two the same bike. People who get the scout expect it to be more barebones and simple, want more, spend more and get the chief. Thats the point of having different models. They cant all offer the same things or there would be no point

    • @cmatycycles8286
      @cmatycycles8286  2 года назад

      That’s a very valid point. I could do without the gas capacity changing but I think the ride command would make an awesome addition to the bobbers.

    • @cmatycycles8286
      @cmatycycles8286  2 года назад

      I’m actually looking at adding the chieftain dark horse to the garage but unfortunately it’s just no doable at the current time with inflation hitting hard and still paying on the bobber. I’m hoping in a few years if I work hard enough I can finally get it!

    • @ThreeBattRanger
      @ThreeBattRanger 2 года назад +1

      Ride command doesn’t change the look of the bike. Also think they could expand the tank without much dimensional change to the outside of the tank or look. Lot of airspace beneath the tank. Love the look of the scout bobber which is why I bought a ‘21.

    • @cmatycycles8286
      @cmatycycles8286  2 года назад

      Yeah I was thinking of all the dead space under the tank as well they would definitely be able to do it. Some people just like the way the the bobbers look and may not have the money to drop on a chief or something bigger.

  • @joesolo9946
    @joesolo9946 2 года назад +1

    Been looking, no gas gauge, cruise control pushes me towards the Triumph.. Indian would hit a home run adding all the modern features which really don't add a lot of cost...

  • @timbrwolf1121
    @timbrwolf1121 Год назад +1

    I wonder if they could make the tank a stressed member as well? Some bikes do that, hell is it KTM that uses the frame as a tank? They would just need to change the fuel pickup location and they could deepen the pan.

  • @petrol11
    @petrol11 Год назад

    For me, honestly I'd like to see the headlamp be upgraded by default to LED. Halogen lamp just totally dates the bike, not to mention safety issues that come with a dim light. Also, just because it's mentioned over and over, I think the default shocks need to changed, not necessarily to the piggybacks which ruin bagging compatibility, but I think the complaints about it being rough ride are far and wide enough for them to need a better solution. Not so bothered about a full digital cluster, mechanical upgrades first, but optional cruise control and digital cluster would be nice.

  • @slamera63

    Number one thing to change is the stock seat, that isn't really a seat it's an istrument of torture! After my first longish ride my ass was in pain for a month. I love my bobber, but if I couldn't have done anything about that seat I would have sold the bike. I now have the comfort seat, much, much better.

    @ 3:03 bike doesn't have a trip meter to keep track of gas range? no math required

    • @cmatycycles8286
      @cmatycycles8286  2 года назад

      Never said it didn’t have a trip meter, the bike has a trip meter with 2 options. I have the original miles and I do yearly miles and reset that one every riding season. I’d like to see a gas gauge in the future it’s just my personal preference of what I’d like to see.

    • @Boobtube.
      @Boobtube. 2 года назад

      @@cmatycycles8286 I know you never said it, but you did complain about doing math. Why not just jot down the mileage on the bike at beginning of riding season and keep that in a journal somewhere, than after last ride of the year, document mileage again. This free's up the trip meter to use for miles till gas light comes on. Than math only needs to be done at the end of the year. Your choice, but I don't see the need to use up the trip meter for the yearly miles when it can be used for other things. Can the speedometer be "flashed" to open up more features on the display? Like a second trip odo? On my 2017 Victory Gunner that was a option and I had it done. Along with outside temp, avg fuel mileage, real time fuel mileage, trip time in hours, and a few other things, the flash of the speedometer chip gave me a second trip meter. I use 1 for current trip miles, and the 2nd one for tank miles. I also have a light which comes on when there is .9 to 1 gallon of fuel left in the 4.5 gallon tank. I'm not sure how much fuel is in your tank when the light comes on. Yes, a gage would be nice, but with the trip meter and the low fuel light, I'm happy with that. Gives me two ways to keep tabs on the fuel incase the light fails or I forget to reset the trip meter when I fill up.

    • @cmatycycles8286
