Making of monotype-prints without printing press.
The paper I use is Fabriano drawing-paper 200 gr, roll 150 cm x 10 meter, whatever...
color is offset color, print color, I used a lot of used and dirty color of prints-hops...so that's why I don't care about quality of the color, even if there are particules etc.
The only thing that matters is the result of your print!
You are the only boss of your artwork! :-)

love your system even though no plastic bags were evident. It is always great to see the practicalities and I really admire your resourcefulness and methods. Making prints that size without getting ink everywhere is an achievement in itself.
I enjoyed watching, loved the finish product and thanks for sharing / opening yourself up. Lot's of people are cowards at making themselves vulnerable. Keep doing what you love doing!!
Cowards at making themselves vulnerable! Wow! That's a game changing comment.
Love your work. Thanks for letting us in your studio.
An excellent way to keep edition going. Thank you for posting! I’ll have a go!
Cool! I love this kind of art, and having a look at this artists process.
I am always amused by the people and commenters who are so offended by abstract art/artists.
I think there is room for all kinds of art, and ways to make it ☮️
love the fast forward! great to watch
Loved watching your process
Fascinating process of making huge monoprints. Would appreciate either subtitles, some soft music, and descriptions of the materials used. This is the first of your videos I've watched.
Cool dude. A real understanding of art and art prints.
First time looking at monopringing .. amazed at the results ..

Breathtaking. Gives us the scope and possibilities
Watched all the videos, got some good ideas for what I do.
Wow so beautiful. Great work..
Cool...love the colors. 🙏
Wow. 3 prints from one. Really nice
That took alot of courage to do exactly right Damn....good!
Simple technique produces amazing results..
This is beautiful, spontaneous and inspired.
Working smarter not harder and that's beautiful ! You look like Jack Nicholson. Lol
Wonderful work and colors, congrats
Wonderful! I love it! And, as an artist, I am in awe & inspired. Thank you so much
welcome...:-)
te felicito, es Hermoso lo que logras y tu tecnica XD
I was wandering when the paper bags would be added, no matter, this was pretty awesome.
Ethel Davis uuuhuh
Great video.
It’s amazing !! Great panting !! 🤔🇲🇾
For those asking, "Where are the plastic bags?," go to his channel and check out parts 1, 5, 6, and 10 of this series. Part 8 has a fast t-shirt printing project using a sheet of plastic.
ahhohh... world turns in beter place after such kind of vid-s!
Pretty cool!
going to have to try this technique but I can't help but wonder about the plastic bags????
I love love love this
what is the second layer of paint that you use ? fist all black acrylic and them?
Far out!!!!!👍👍❤️❤️
Could try this on a much smaller scale thank you !
beautiful ! nice he doesn't need a press, very interesting . anyway, I would try with plastic bags marks, it could be nice
Nice eazy method.... Liked
I would have expected the second and third monoprint to be less intense. Interesting.
Well it was no longer a mono print...it was a series
Ok! That convinces me. Im getting some Speedball!
Great art for people without drawing skills ^^
Try making abstract shapes flow in a pleasing, rhythmic and balanced way. Including colour, line, negative space (that is present in this set of prints) and texture.
Even just using children's crayons/pencils/felt tips on A4 photocopy paper if you have artistic ability you will produce something interesting. Even if only for pasting into a sketchbook for reference.
Without ability (training can only do so much) you will only make a messy scribble..
Interesting. Thought u were going to use plastic bags too for lifting the ink.
Wish you had said what kind of ink you are using. I've always used the plate itself for subsequent copies (ghosts). You are getting amazing clarity using the print itself as a plate.
offset color...:-)
Beautiful! What is your plate made of?
ARTIST: "No plastic bags were harmed in the making of this video"
ME: "Oh that's such a relief, was that because you didn't use them at all?"
To the complainer- Too much time on your hands, OMG, I think you should contact the police about no plastic bags, To the artist, awesome work from a fellow artist!!!
Super...mais quel papier utilise?
Fenomenal❤
Magnificent❤.
excellent
One of many in a series. Look at his page and you'll see the various ones - go to #1 and it will begin making sense.

Hi - How do you frame it for the wall?
Is that just a board you are inking?
Where do the white parts come from?
This freaking Americans! The smoking in the video was the coolest thing. I like this video, I am doing printing in my class, but I don’t do it because usually I paint abstract and the teacher is ok with that, at least I have my projects and I like art on the contrary the other students are there only because they have to
All the greats did some printing. Try googling their names + prints. Look at Giorgio Morandi for drawing and etching techniques. Take the techniques and try them out with your own ideas.
Verticals versus horizontals and size versus weight balance applies to both picture and abstract. Have fun playing every time.
GREAT PRINTS
thanks...:-)
Coooooool good done
No bags?
Can anyone figure out if he is using heavy body acrylic paint instead of ink?And I assume the paper roll is something like 200 pound cold pressed paper, but not sure. Also he didn't lay down any white paint, so how does he get the white pattern?
abriano Accademia bianco 200g/m2 and offset color...:-)
Great... but did I miss something? Only plastic bags I saw were on the shelf.
ruclips.net/video/OihWkykY1v4/видео.html
What plastic bags?
I'm only 3.5 minutes into the video and it's amazing. What is that roll of white that you are putting on top of the art?
Fabriano paper :-)
What is it supposed to be?
Nice
Its a press but its more physical than mechanical because he doesn't have the equipment.
He is working with what he has. I understand.
I would've used a cylinder shower rod with added weight. Because it looks like he's having a hard time with equal distribution.
What did you use? Looked like black primer. Then lots of diff resins??? Or ink?
offset color...:-)
enjoyed watching the process. Economies you have developed ccould be adopted by other artists using other mediums ie for drying large pieces, etc Thz for sharing
Invención pura.....!
Sound? Is there any sound. I'm not getting any.
Sound?? And description of what he's applying???
In the beginning of the video it said no sound!
He’s using printing ink which is very sticky
How ur colour survived so many prints
These are amazing monoprints!
Where are the plastic bags? What type of ink/paint are you using? What type of paper are you using?
Dianna Diat

Дети очень любят делать монотипию. Часто именно с этой техники они начинают учится живописи.
Наверное мастер решил,что одного такого шедевра для мира маловато

Why does the title say prints with plastic bags when there are no plastic bags in the video?
they are covering all that stuff on the shelf behind
ruclips.net/video/X-ukYblN9fQ/видео.html
it says 3 after it, I came here looking for one and two.
UKMumfromthepool
it is not monotype neither, as there are more than one print
👏👏👏Harika
super
Danke :-)
I’m pretty sure the “paint” might be melted plastic
... and where do the plastic bags come in? I can't see any.
watch the whole series of 10 videos
....Not Likely!
ruclips.net/video/OihWkykY1v4/видео.html
Great!What"s the paint?
offset ...:-)
How many prints can you make out of that?
depends on how many color you put on the first one, then you can make a print of the print of the print, so maybe 2 or 3 or 4 :-), try out!!
Which kind of ink did you use?
offset color ...:-)
Hi, is this acrylic or typographical paint?
typographical :-), print color!!
Where are the plastic bags????
Maybe he means the plastic bags on the shelf 😀
Not sure why he is taking two extra copies off the original MONO print, best part for me is the marks on the table, especially the large piece in the centre of the table, I would have that on my wall.
Is this oil,acrylic or ink?
offset color
@@RafaelSpringer Thank you
Why are they monoprints, if there are three?
Monotype =/= monoprint.
what's weird is the wiki definition of both is the reverse. Now i'm confused.
"Monotyping produces a unique print, or monotype; most of the ink is removed during the initial pressing"
whereas
"A monoprint is a single impression of an image made from a reprintable block..... Monoprints may also involve elements that change, where the artist reworks the image in between impressions or after printing so that no two prints are absolutely identical."
from watching, this is monoprint, no?
Ahhh, it's all about the printing surface. Monotypes are where the printing block is unaltered, as in smooth glass or acrylic, ink on top (unique becasue the ink is mostly removed when printed), whereas with monoprints, there is some type of etching involved, like lino cutting, wood block carving, etc.
David Annett Monotypes are one of a kind. You get one “good” impression with subsequent impressions with less ink called ghost prints. Mono prints have a matrix that can be altered. Examples using different collage, colors, etc with a woodblock, etching.
icampos89 got it, thanks!!
Bonjour il s’appelle comment le papier merci
Fabriano, tu le trouves chez Boesner...:-)
Is this oil paint?
offset
I wish he kept music playing for the whole video
Instructions would help.
find out...:-)
From the title, I'm thinking decalcomania but, nope. Not exactly. Still interesting. Some sound would've been nice. Music. Something. Js
is thank ink or painting?
offset...:-)
@@RafaelSpringer merci
its canvas???

No bags - which - of course - was only said in the video title to get people's attention! I don't think you make much friends with that...
