    Thank you for this! This wasnt the technique I came to YT to search for, but since I already have all the materials and equipment, I guess Ill have to give it a try. No puede ser, guaaau, estudio artes visuales y nunca pensé que pudiera hacerse litografía de esta manera. Este semestre iba a entrar a tomar la materia pero no pudo por el alto costo de todos los materiales, me alegra mucho conocer ahora una alternativa con materiales que ya tengo a la mano. Mil gracias por compartir!

    It's beautiful! I have something wrong with the paint or the foil. I tried starch, oil to keep the paint from sticking, but it still sticks all over the foil, both the drawing and the background. What am I doing wrong?

    • @ArtBahar
      @ArtBahar  День назад

      It could be due to the foil or the paint you used. I am still experimenting with this technique. Do not use too much oil to erase the drawing. There should be no oil left on the surface before applying the paint with the roller.

    Hi! I have just tried this technique today but ran into an issue after the etching stage. Although I could see the etched area under light after cleaning with oil, I could not get the ink to stick anywhere on the plate. I am using a thick and sticky etching ink and also tried losing it with a could drop of oil. I have tried a few different oil pencils and also tried etching in coke for longer. Neither wiping or rolling seems to work.
    Any insights would be a big help. Thanks for the excellently presented video

    Why does the ink not stick to the rest of the foil? Does the reaction of the crayon and cola cause the foil to bulge out or in? Im so confused how this works.

    • @ArtBahar
      @ArtBahar  11 месяцев назад +3

      Because those parts are moist. That's why those parts don't take the ink. The main principle of the technique is that oil and water do not mix. Since cola does not affect the areas we draw, these parts will take paint. It is similar to a classical printmaking technique such as lithography. İyi çalışmalar. Çok merak ettiğim bir konuydu. Ben bu çalışmayı okulda öğrencilerle yapmak istiyorum boya olarak litografi/linol boyası aldım ama su bazlı olanından aldım temizlemesi ve çalışması daha kolay olur diye acaba matbaa boyası olmadığı için bir sorun yaşarmıyım yoksa illaki yağlı matbaa boyası mı olmalı.

    • @ArtBahar
      @ArtBahar  Год назад +1

      Merhaba, kitchen litografi klasik anlamadaki litografiye alternatif bir tekniktir. Litografide işlem fiziksel değil kimyasal olarak gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu tekniğin temel özelliği yağ ve suyun birbirini itmesidir. Bu nedenle teknikte kullanılan boyanın yağ bazlı olması gerekmektedir. Kısaca bu tekniği uygulayabilmeniz için yağ bazlı bir boyaya ihtiyacınız var. Su bazlı linol boyası ile sonuç alamazsınız. Matbaa mürekkebi kullanmanız gerekiyor. Yağlı boya ile de sonuç almıştım fakat boyanın kıvamını arttırmanız gerekiyor yoksa merdanede tutunmuyor. Yağlı boyaya biraz pudra ekleyebilirsiniz. İyi çalışmalar

Denemeler yaptıkça tekniğin sonuçları daha da iyi olacaktır. Video çekerken bilgi vermek ve süreçlerdeki ayrıntıları anlatmak için uzun tutum. Aslında baskı süreci çok daha pratik ve kolay.
