Love the videos Sarah, your sense of humor is awesome. Whenever you give us that little pause after a joke I am usually rolling on the floor 🤣🤣🤣. Can’t wait for more videos
You could not look like the Crypt Keeper even if you tried! Keep up the great work. Appreciate your efforts to beat the heat, so thankful it is still in the 60s at night out my way.
That was a good mistake. The mobile 1 filter is way better than wix. It's coming along nice! Glad to hear you want to track both cars. The TT is gonna accelerate out of the corners better with all wheel drive but if you can master it the MR2 is gonna feel better through the whole course! Can't wait to see!
It's a miracle the TT made it home with all the stuff you're finding wrong..
Right? The little Tot that could!
I'm really enjoying this series so far!
I hope all goes well in the next video *:)*
Love your dedication Sarah!
And yes lighting is important so we can see your pretty smile!
" ... that's what's up !" love it !
Use dipdisolver spray for your wheels,it will make your job much easier, well done
Sarah, the evening hours / lighting give your videos an entirely different (mellow) feel. As do the evening road trips to the store in order to chase parts. Nice job!
Hi Sara. Your my new hero. Bar none, no ishes implied. My last hero was Harley Race in 1968. You fly where I fear to crawl. You give me hope. Thanks girl. Keep it up. Have a good one. I have 2 tt's . From tom.
Your videos really brighten my day (or night) Sarah. Your like to dislike ratio is insane! Keep up the great work.
Also I love the picking a car to be a casual track build idea and YAAASSS Goo Gone is amazing!
Whoever is disliking is very likely NOT someone I want to hang out with.
I love Walmart at 2 in the morning, I used to work evenings, I could get in and out in no time, didn't have anyone there to bother me, no waiting in line, biggest thing sometimes is you can't get down the aisle you need because the floor cleaning Zamboni is doing the floors or the stock people have the whole aisle blocked off for cleaning. rock auto is great most of the time. usually the best prices but every once in a while you can get better deals elsewhere. keep up the good work. I love watching the cars you have picked to work on. and the 2 Sarah's of course
Hi Sarah , i find your videos fascinating. Your hands on approach to car maintenance is great. You're an inspiration to women I reckon 👍
I'm in England myself, love cars too , keep up the good work.
Hey Sarah, love the content! I heard you say you buy your parts at Rockauto. I buy there too. But for Audi, BMW, or MB, try FCPEuro. Prices are good, OEM parts are avaiable and best of all everything has a LIFETIME warranty!
Another great video, Sarah. Although the Teeter Tot seems to have a multitude of problems, you're tackling them systematically and with due diligence. Kudos to you for your level of expertise. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the next episode...
man i have had so many long nights in my garage. doing the thumper conversion with electric water pump and new blower took me and my friend 3 days we were up til 4, 5, 2 nights in a row. but in the end it was bad ass and my wife was happy .
The WHEELS LOOK DOPE AF !!! Great job with the black !!!!
Excellent job Sarah 😊 who cares if the sensor is Chinese it works and inexpensive to replace 👌 I love your vids especially coz I’m like u being all mechanical haha 😆 Thanks to dad. Keep up the good work u inspire me to wanna do up cars again 😎
Can’t wait for the next vid !!!
✌️Miss Peta 🚗
looks like you have a good work ethic, get the car working 100% before mods!
Removing the sas is the right move two, those pumps are renowned for failing and the pipes under the intake crack causing pain in the ass air leaks!!! once its all done make sure you perform a boots test, making sure you have no boots leaks, boots leaks cause all kinds of running issues with these,
Keep up the tip top work and best of luck with working in those kinda temps rather you than me ha
Your the best car-girl on RUclips, dirty hands down. If your going to be working at night from now on, we need to get you some real work lights!
Nice to see you got the TT mostly finished keep it up .
Cant help but smile watching you Sarah
Jon
Sarah you might wanna look into a quick Jack I bought one and I freaking love it I bought a 5000. Absolutely love your videos, great job never stop! You're amazing!
A UV filter for the camera lens is good protection for splashing substances, if you get oil (or whatever) on it, you can just wash the filter with soap and water. It’s also good scratch protection and doesn’t affect exposure. Plain old plastic shopping bag to cover the camera body. Great Video, AGAIN!
I feel your pain, I once pressure washed the wrong house, when I worked for a painting company, because I got the house number wrong. 👍
Totally small comment but THANK YOU for using metric. I moved out of the US about 15 years ago and I have no idea what ounces or feet mean anymore. SI makes so much more sense.
Sarah, the woman that we all wished we'd met instead of the ones we did meet.I've heard about "teeter totters" in a Stephen King book and presumed it was some kind of toy like a spinning top but being from the U.K. I had no idea what a "teeter tot" was.😊✌
Sarah the Meticulous Vampire Mechanic. You will do it! Thanks for sharing.
Clamp vice grips onto the shafts of the old pistons right at the top of the strut body when they are extended to use them as props while you change to the new ones. You WILL damage the piston shafts, but if the struts are already worn it's not a big loss.
I've always had good luck just leaving the car on the ground, or pressure on the knuckle, and hit that 21mm nut with an impact gun. Done it this way on at least 4 VWAG cars and never had a problem.
I just remove the suspension strut assembly from the vehicle, lay it on the ground, and blow the 21mm nut off with an air impact wrench while I hold the spring still with my prosthetic foot. It's a completely safe, OSHA approved way of doing it , and poses no risk of injury or damage. :)
Progress can be slow but you will get there. Loving these videos. Keep up the great videos
Awesome videos lady!!!! I cant wait to start uploading my videos of my 03 jetta 1.8t i got from a nice old couple. currently it does not run but soon im gonna pull her motor apart and and fix her so she can live again for having 280thousand miles.....
i love looking at ur TT, TTs are my favourite
Already off to a good start on the build! Can’t wait to see how it turns out!
Should look into insulating the garage door! My garage door is insulated in Louisiana and it helps keep the garage quite a bit cooler.
Teeter tot is coming along. Thanks for another great video and stay safe working under there at night.
Once in a while I drive a 1.8T. My sister’s dad owns it. Same color. Cool car 🤙🏽 As if on a rail track 🏁
RockAuto for the Win! 💪🏽 they stay coming in clutch with great parts for amazing prices! I just got a few goodies for my 1.8T B5 😀
Great video... can't wait to see more videos. No worries about lighting, you will always look beautiful.
The forge diverter valve (BOV) is actually really good for these type of audi engines.
And it does not leak - unlike the OEM plastic crap.
The forge just needs to be installed properly and it will hold boost and react a lot smoother /faster to manifold pressure changes. And it is black stealth - so it is cool.
Hallo Sarah! Dein Deutsch ist ja super 😁. Du machst das richtig gut. Weiter so und Grüße aus dem wunderschönen Bayern.
Wow 2:30 AM and you’re still working on the Tater Tot. You really are dedicated. But with the heat as high as it is right now, that’s obviously the safest time to work on TT. Love your vids.
9tube1 I love what I do and I can’t let 71k people down who are counting on me to make enjoyable videos.
You're very funny! Love the pauses you make after a joke!
That's quite the dent in the driver's door, hadn't noticed that before......
Sarah, your might consider reaching out to quick-jack. They sponsor quite a few yiurubers such as yourself with free lifts. It could make your life much easier from both a mechanical aspect but from a filming under the car one. In any case please keep up the good work. Your videos are great!
Great video, Sarah. 👍 Looking forward to future episodes. Vent to air dump valves should be compulsory on all turbo engines. 😁
WOW...! You are so knowledgeable, you should open your own mechanic shop Sarah.
Mario Donis my RUclips endgame is to do just that. Doubt anyone would want to watch an old lady on RUclips work on cars ⏳ Lol
Late night Walmart run for an oil filter, your so awesome.
You’re so cool Sarah. Love everything you do.
just luv luv luv your vids sarah keep em coming you are just a ripper cheers from down under
I feel your pain. I can't wait until I can move the portable air conditioners into the garage.
I've done my fair share of post midnight Walmart runs. There's no shame in that. Parts are parts.
The tot is getting along nicely! Had hoped Butters would appear on camera though hah.
Man, every time someone mentions "Rock Auto" that theme coupled with the bad animation comes into my head...thanks for that.
Sarah is gonna have millions of subscribers before long. 😎
Awesome as usual, Sarah!
just another time that one of your videos cheered me up, thank you.
Mr2s are very Tricky to master but that’s half of the fun. I would suggest making or finding roll center and bump steer adjusters for the rear. There are a few forum people who make them The rear suspension geometry is very.... strange. Especially when you push it. Some people can’t handle it but it just takes some practice
Yay! Teeter Tot! As always GREAT content. and You always give me a good laugh!
hi Sarah i always look forward to your videos as they always put a smile on my face . ps its nice to see your happy smile :-)
"Hi Butters", lol! Love your videos Sarah.
My chinese brand part didn't last a month. Keep up the great content. I would recommend using Mann oil filters for the german brands when ever you can.
Mann are usually the OE manufacturer for the european brands, just different screen printing on the filter cans.
Check the PCV system it doesn't look like its hooked up on that zoombang intake, PCV issues will make replacing the valve cover gasket pointless. Judging from the leak at the spark plug well you could have excessive crank case pressure.
It’s been great to see your ability, dedication, and determination advance and grow since I started following your videos. Can’t wait to see the progress in the years to come! Keep it up!
Best thing I ever used working on my truck are magnetic LED flood lights. They're cheap and I put them everywhere. Two free set of knuckles all the time.
Great Video and if there is a local fabricator subbed, please whip this girl up some quality ramps. Descent base with simple wheel locks and long ramp for lower front ends. I make mine with removable pinned ramps for easy creeper use and it splits weight/size for moving them. Save her some time and a lot safer. Never completely trust a Chinese made jack stand. Keep the jack under one side or at least throw a safety block or spare tire under there just in case.
Very nice sara i bet your hubby is proud of u like when it comes down for him to say " i cant go to work cuz the car broke down " then u be look take a shower ill get it running in a bit ok so dont start!
I'm happy to see you got back to the TT...I just realised I have a spare engine for the non quattro version....if you need some spares that are compatible...errrrmmm...I'm not an expert, but you could always ask...hoses, maybe [not horses, but I have those too....but I can't send them]...I kept it for the turbo which was new and is worth as much as the engine....well, I could send something...but I live in France, so it would take some time to get to you. You might need to know the serial number, to see if the spares match...does that sound right? Professional...? Haha...no, maybe not...Please don't be offended if I ask you if anybody has ever compared you favourably to Carrie Fisher...? It struck me the other day...but you're much prettier, of course...goes without saying...How is your friend Sarah? My sister is called Sarah too....that makes three princesses, I guess...
thanks, I need to do the same to my van, the back hatch. awesome video.
Cant wait for the next one. I love the progress on your projects B-)
Honestly, I prefer to go to walmart at 1:30 in the morning when I have the store to myself.
These vids just make my day 👍👍
You'll probably want to replace the half moon seal under the cam chain tensioner aswell when doing the valve cover :)
Are those dent creases on your driver door ...? you can have them removed by a PDR ( paint-less dent repair ) tech ... or you could try PDR yourself , it's fun learning the art of PDR.
Great tip on the Goo-Gone!
Hahahaha 😂, Wirklich sehr witzig 👍😆.
Guten tag fräulein Sarah, Gruß aus der Niederlande👍😊.
Hi Sarah ,Re oil leak from cam cover , may i suggest , if that engine is uncleaned from new(which it may well be ) ,and that's all that has leaked , i would clean it and see how it goes , maybe not worth all the palava for minimal gains ,where that energy could first be used for the zorst and the drivetrain malarky ? ( i may be micro managing here ) robert.
The silhouette shot at 4:52 is very cool
Hi Sarah, dein Deutsch kling sehr gut... Und elf ist genau richtig... (your german sounds very good... and Eleven is just right.Greetings from Germany
Guten Tag, actualy your german sounded very good :-)
Andreas M doppelkupplungsgetriebe
Its goodntight
What a great way to beat the heat. Have you tried Mobil 1 Annual Protection yet? Maybe you can get Mobil 1 to let ya do a video blog of one of your turbo cars long term test use for them.
Awesome job Sara!!
We love your content. FYI that half moon is unfortunately not part of the valve cover gasket. Its one of the seals for the cam adjuster gasket. You need a special tool to compress the adjuster so you can install new gaskets on these.
Pic of these gaskets here

Hi Sarah. Good job. So it was the oil level sensor indeed. But you were lucky. German cars have German sensetive ECU's , Bosch or Siemens. Aspecially BMW and Audi ECU's are sensitive in tolerance and often will not accept Chinese sensors. You don't have to buy the oem VAG sensors but just a oem brand such as Bosch, Hella, Febi etc. They will do fine. Bmw is known for not accepting Chinese cam position sensors, crank position sensors, air mass sensors and o2 sensors. Good thing to know when your TT will have some of these problems in the future! BTW your German isn't that bad! I like the way you pronounce 11 ;-) . Dutch regards!
As always a great video in all aspects. Thank you.
Sweet this new version of Humble mechanic, without a beard! :-)
(Good job Sarah for new project)
If there's one thing I've learnt from watching your videos, it is that you definitely do not have a filter!
Sideslip like I said before, I share a lot in common with Debra Morgan from Dexter.
Indeed. Except maybe not as clumsy and don't swear as much!
My genesis eats tater tots for breakfast!
Real, talk, my best buddy Rob has a 225 TT (dark blue) and its pretty nice. He spent a lot of money on the suspension and tune (270 wheel) I like it a lot!
Rocking it! Girls & cars. What’s not to love!! 😊
OMG!!! You clipped from the "unpimp ze auto" commercial!!! You are now officially a goddess. lol
Teeter tot is a Seesaw on a childrens playground. Tator tot is small potato hashbrown object. But that's just semantics. Still love your channel.
1-10 in German well done...meine schon fraulein ...new subscriber here love your channel you're beautiful and your content is both informative and entertaining...
Let the games begin. Stay cool while doin work on the tt!!!
That would be classic to get a subscription update and it is for your channel and there is an 8 hour video....10 minutes in you fall asleep under the car snoring. 10/10 would still watch! (non creepy guy joke of course)
I do got to say I enjoy your vid's, but as of late you really have stepped your game up.. I feel like if you were to trade both vehicle's for a bugeye and project that and track and daily it that'd be fun.. my $0.02, because that's basically what you have between those two vehicles except 4 door and mid-engine :)
So you want one to be a track day car and you should be using loctite on the bolts if you are not?
Sarah love the video on the Project TT Quattro .
The TT and the new Beetle share a platform. Did it feel familiar. Great videos. Please bring back the red tank top!!!!!!
Frank Healy the New Beetle ran from 1998-2010. The Beetle she was driving was a 2012+
Completely different cars.
Awesome women takes care of her cars passionately!
I love the humor on this vids. It would have been funny if you got the wrong one at Walmart
Sarah Thank you.
I sure hope this inspires more women to fix their own dang cars...so the guys can do other fun guy things. ;)
Nah, I am kidding. Every car driving person should learn how to fix their cars. It is liberating and educating.
You sure do have a lot of work to do on that car. It's going to be great when your done. If you're going to be working in your garage you might consider investing in an larger ac unit and insulating the door with reflectix.
