I so agree investing in bigger ticket items for handbags, jackets, shoes as those pieces will last you years and add to and change up multiple outfits. At 52 yrs. old my shorts are longer than 4" now and any sparkly tank/shirt stays under a jacket or cardigan now. I hate people saying oh your age you have to dress dowdy, fuddy duddy. Umm that is a no, you don't but I do take care to keep to classic pieces, nothing too short, nothing sparkly unless its a layering piece under something or a cute shoe. Great choices Erin thank you.
Right... you can wear just about anything at any age, but thoughtful modifications are key!

Erin, this was incredibly helpful!! I love every single piece, and enjoyed seeing how you put the outfits together. Thanks to you, I'm appreciating neutrals more, seeing more freshness than drabness. Thanks also for using affordable, investable pieces. Oh, and, the explanation given for the capsule idea, as well as your reasoning for including each piece. I've seen many capsules elsewhere, but this is definitely my favorite because of the interest of each piece, and adding so many cohesive elements-- the brown tones of the dress and accessories, for example. I'd love to see more capsule wardrobe ideas in the future.

Love all the light colors! These outfits are lovely. Can't imagine wearing a sweater in summer, though. We get hot and stay hot here in central California!
I am in NW OH, still had the furnace on and wearing coats in June.
Love this! Easy to follow, coordinate, and really love all the pieces (except the wide leg jeans & the white eyelet top). But it would be so easy to sub those for different pieces and make this my own. Hope you continue to do something similar in future seasons.

This made me think of a great video idea for you. Travel wardrobes. I always pack way too much which is fine for my beach and mountain trips because we drive. When flying I struggle to have what I need but in one or two bags.
