HI Erin…I know you are much younger than I (76) but I pride myself in trying to stay up to date and IN STYLE without tryig to look like I am trying. I am soooo glad I found you. I am at present trying to build my Spring/Summer capsule wardrobe. Due to a thyroid issue I have (over the last yr) gained 10 lbs so I need to update while I am trying to get back to my 135 wt. Yay !!!!!you mentioned posture. It's huge in how you look. I was at a wedding last week and the bride in her strapless gown was beautiful. BUT SLOUCHED the entire time. Like I tell my clients. You can't photoshop out bad posture!
Erin, among a sea of youtubers that try to put a persona on, you are one of the few that is true to your personality. You have this genuine vibe about you that I want to watch more of your videos. Would it be selfish to ask you to do more than two videos per week:)

I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and 2 trends tips were really hot during my teens : the knot and the half tuck. I 'd never imagined to see them back now that I`m over 45... Love your videos , Erin.

Hello, Erin. I was looking for dresses for short, plus-sized women and I found your channel today and stopped looking. I don't know if you address that issue, but that didn't matter after I started watching a few of your videos. I liked you instantly. Why? Because you are so real. You don't put on airs. I don't feel intimidated. You are soft-spoken; and to me, your advice, tips, and hacks are spot on. I chuckled when you said not to forget to look in the rear and you had tp hanging out of your pants. Although I am 67, short, and, as my grandson said "chunky", you showed me some things I can incorporate into my wardrobe. My goal this year is to change my style, it's time! Not trying to relive my teenage years, but to, not only look good in my clothes, but to feel better about myself. Thank you so much.

Loved your tips. And yes, if you want your clothes to last, no dryer! I only dry my sheets and towels and my hub's cotton undies. Everything else gets a minute in the dryer just to dewrinkle, then shaken out and hung. Have my regular and black Woolite detergent and only cold washing all our clothes. Works like a charm! I'm also big on ironing. Can't stand when people go out in cotton or rayon/linen clothes all wrinkled! 😏😑 (Linen can have a bit of texture and that's fine)

I've been on a shopping spree since watching the Style Reboot series and some of your other latest videos. I've always been the "Cool Mom" dressing like I'm still in my 20's, but it's time to step up my game! I even bought that Henri Bendel (Rivington) bag like yours, but in Lt Pink and it'll be here tomorrow! I bought another Henri Bendel bag (West 57th satchel) in ivory, and a white structured MK bag. I invested in some dark wash plain jeans (I've always worn Rock Revivals), new belts, shoes, and gold jewelry (I've always worn silver). From watching your videos, I already had other pieces I need. I just ordered more plastic hangers you recommended, as well as the black velvet jewelry holders (the busts, T-Bars, etc) and bought a different belt holder. I know it will be MUCH easier to dress better when my huge closet is finally organized! My friend is putting together my rolling clothes rack tomorrow so it will be easier to sort through clothes. It will pull double-duty when I start selling the clothes on Poshmark, Mercari, or whatever platform I start with. SO... I've been busy and I just want to say THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for doing these videos for us! And Thank You to my Daddy for making it possible for me to get more organized AND stylish at the same time. If he hadn't left me a little bit of spending money when died a few months ago, I sure couldn't have afforded to do all this since I became disabled! It feels good to shop with a purpose thanks to you!!! 🤗🤗🤗

Sleeves tip was one i haven't come across before. I like rolling my sleeves but can't stand when they come unrolled while I'm working on the computer or in the kitchen so that one may have changed my fashion life :)

You have presented great fashion tips. But! I'm a 75 years young woman, I'm 5'1" tall, 125 pounds. As I've aged, my body has changed drastically, and not in a good way. If I were your age and had your great figure all of these tips would work so well. But, I'm not, I have figure flaws that aren't conducive to most of your tips. I have a tummy, no waist, very skinny legs, and flat butt. Being short presents a problem too. I have found that wide leg pants, with a sleeveless tunic top, just to where legs and hips connect, and a cropped jean jacket or short shrug look best on me. I like my pants to cover the tops of my shoes/feet, no ankle length please. I add a 2" wedge sandal, a cute bag, small earrings, necklace and I'm good to go. This may be a fashion no, no for you but I know my body. I have my hubs snap a few shots, and for 75 I think I look pretty good. I love to be stylish, and dress nicely, all of the time. I don't leave the house without my hair done, full make-up, not overdone, just primer, light foundation, eyebrows done, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, and a touch of blush. I never want to dress like an old woman, or give up on my appearance. Most of your fashion ideas, are great for most people, but as we age we have to get to know our body type, and it will change with age, and dress for our own body. I have a friend that's 73 y.o. 5' tall, 145 pounds, carries all of her weight from waist up, 38 DD, skinny legs, big stomach. She tried on a pair of leggings with a long oversized top. When she asked the sales lady if they looked ok, she told her she has the perfect legs for leggings. She looked like a bull frog. It's all about balance. That may have worked on a person that was proportioned well, but oh, my goodness that sales lady sure told a great big fib. I want to see the truth, that's why hubs takes pictures.
Taking pictures of yourself is a great idea. I always do that for big events. Always check the rear view too! I did a series called Style Reboot which helps you identify your body type and style uniform, but it sounds like you already have yours nailed down. I can shoot a video specific to finding that uniform. I think that would be helpful. There are guidelines you can follow, but there is no one size fits all approach to personal style. I try to apply the basic concepts that I learned while styling clients to help you all remotely as much as I can. For you, with a very specific body type, I would recommend you keep doing what you are doing and maybe invest in a couple of hours shopping with someone like me in your area for some fresh ideas! Yes! I do it on a long maxi that’s jersey or cotton when I want to create a High-low hem or if it’s simply too long for flats, I’ll knot the bottom. Slightly on the side.
