Extremely cool project! You're obviously a skilled metal worker, but in my attempts I've had difficulty welding roller chain. I was guessing it has to do with the lubricant on the chain. (or my POS Harbor Freight welder 🤣) What do you clean the metal parts with? Fun video and super cool guitar! 👍
I used break cleaner to clean up the parts first, then I ran the welder a little hotter than normal so it would burn off any other excess grease. They do have small rubber grommets which could cause issues while trying to weld. In my experience with this I weld as close as I can to my ground clamp.
