Cool Vid. Just yesterday, I took a HB TE52 (lefty) and based on hearing that a righty bridge plate (where the bridge pup is slanted in in reverse) softens the high E and tightens the low E, made the mod...had to drill/chisel/Dremel out some body to fit the pup. Easy. I think it does make the bridge pup less ice-picky at least. I also always remove the neck pup from the tone pot to improve clarity and increase output to match the bridge (on Squiers and MIMs anyway...and the HB too). You married a good woman.

Actually the selector switch on a telecaster is the original way you had it. The switch is forward of the knobs. That being said, Bill Kirchen, who played guitar on the song "Hot Rod Lincoln" always reversed his switch to the way yours is. He would rewire the first knob as volume, and the second one closest to the bridge as tone, because of the switch, but he did this to all his telecasters. By moving the volume to the top, he was able to make all those cool sound effects by manipulating the volume with his fingers as he played. There is a cool video on RUclips about how he did it, and he demonstrates how the mod helped him make those sound effects. If anyone is interested, if you search RUclips for "Bill Kirchen Hot Rod Lincoln Tele mod" a series of videos will come up. Its the first one with Dan Erlewine. Its a great video!
I will have to check that out. Thanks. My Fender Special Edition Deluxe Ash Tetecaster came that way, and I got so use to playing it like that. I like the volume knob right at my finger tip, so, I turned it around on the kit guitar as well. You can see them here. reverb.com/p/fender-special-edition-deluxe-ash-telecaster
Really nice job especially the “cracks”. How did you get them the darker colour without getting any area around them darker. I just finished putting a kit guitar into an Artuero Fuente box and it sounds great. The guitar kit was missing the body.
Thanks Bob. After cutting the groves in with the razor knife, I darkened them in with my soldering iron. :) I like those Arturo boxes. That sounds pretty cool. M~

Awesome looking guitar!! I couldn’t find the neck radius or nut width in the spec’s on their website, you wouldn’t happen to know those measurements would you? Love the way that body turned out!!!! 🎸

Glad to meet ya, brother. I like the life you got for yourself. This is the second time I found you, so I got your channel saved this time. Hey, I was surprised by the way you sanded the chrome for a finish that might just be a bit more expensive. On my screen it looks like a cross between rose gold and rainbow. The dark cracks in the body are frankencool too. FYI, them chickens aint no bother at all. Anyway, great video. Your show’s a refreshing change of pace. Thanks! Oh, yeah, lol. It sounds great too!
Thanks Dude. I appreciate that. M~
It came out real good. Sounds great. Nice job!
Thanks Jake, You're like a good neighbor. 😉
Beautiful Tele Michael. Sounds great as well. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you Dennis. I'll keep em coming. M~

Wow sweet guitar build has it all looks and tone 👍🏻
Looks awesome love the look congratulations buddy
Thanks 👍
Happy Father’s Day dude.loved your build give your wife a tickle and say thanks lol
Thanks! Will do!
GREAT job!!! Looks and sounds beautiful. I'm looking to do the same thing just not sure which BYO company to get it from. I believe Stew Mac has the Wilkinson DIY's. Pricey, but nice. Definitely a Tele style.
Thanks, My wife bought me the StewMac Les Paul style kit for my birthday. I have a video on it as well.ruclips.net/video/Q2cqR5RW3TY/видео.html Definitely a little more $$$ but it was better quality for sure. Their Tele kit looks very nice, but yes, pricey.
Awesome build Michael! Looks like a fun time.
Thank you, Don. It was a blast to build. Maybe she'll buy me one for my birthday. lol
I don’t usually like stressed guitars butI really like yours!nice video….watched the whole thing!
Thank you Zolar. M~
nice build video! finish is awesome!
Sounds and looks great. Would have looked good with that high voltage method too.
Thank you, Jack. Maybe next time with the high voltage :) M~
Wow looks great sounds great.
I'm glad you like it.
Outstanding indeed! Really enjoyed watching this. :)
Thank you, Jeff. M~
Bob wire is Barb wires brother.
Nice work, Fun video, lovely Tele.... That's 3 out of 3 Boss. How Cool is that?
(Answer?) .. Very cool. Thanks Boss, you are appreciated
Thanks again!
I like how it came out. I enjoyed your playing!
Thanks Joseph, I appreciate that. M~
Such a nice video you made and a very very nice awsome TL 👍👍👍
Thanks Volk
WOW that came out just awesome. I am going to order myself one of these kits. Great video 🤩
Thanks a bunch. The Guitar Kit like the one in this video amzn.to/3Xt5Bn5
Really like the raw natural wood look. You scored the body but did you fill in the scores with some black paint or something else? - Great looking Tele. Sounded great on low open chords - very southern rock or ballsy country to my UK ears! Nice looking natural Tele - the way I like 'em. Thanks.
Thanks Rob, I used a soldering iron for fill in the cracks. M~
Awesome looking guitar!! I couldn’t find the neck radius or nut width in the spec’s on their website, you wouldn’t happen to know those measurements would you? Love the way that body turned out!!!! 🎸
Thanks Tim. I don't know the neck radius or nut width, didn't really care for that price. I saw the same info you did. I guess they figure a beginner building the kit isn't going to care what the radius is lol
Very interesting Mike. Some customising touches to make it unique and yours. Looks great, sounds fantastic. What’s not to like. Thanks 👍
Thank you, Walter. M~ 😎🎸
Love it sounds good and looks good
Awesome job and looks wonderful and it has great sustain and what are you gonna call her ??
Thanks Ernie. hummm I haven't' thought of a name yet. 😎
Well done sir! But you forgot to aged the neck pickup...
