Wrestlingspremier you gotta admit that the WWE tried there best with Kurt Angle first run with the WWE Championship winning it in October of 2000 and holding it all the way up to February of 2001 the 6-man hell in a Cell match at Armageddon was star studded I would love 4 Triple H to do that again with either the World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship with Today's current WWE Roster
@@kidvillain188 considering it was a botch and he didn't go threw the table at the same time as Cena, I mean might as well throw fin in there two since he won a main event championship his 1st month on the main roster
That 6 man hell in a cell was such and underrated match and probably one of the biggest wins in his career besides making both Austin and Lesnar tap at separate SummerSlams. Great video man!
Kurt Angle’s rookie year truly is legendary. From winning every belt and having many classics with many future Hall of Famers, he truly had it all. When he won the WWF title, it was at that moment, he was solidified as a GOAT. What a story , what a legend.❤️
2000 was rock and angle's year for sure. This guy not only wrestled with a broken freakin' neck but survived a 6 man hell in a cell with everybody bleedin'! I love angle!
Kurt Angle in 2000 had one of the greatest rookie years of all-time as he solidified himself as a top guy and main eventer by feuding with the likes of Triple H, The Rock and Undertaker while winning the European champ, IC champ and WWE title along with having the IT factor.
8:22 I missed the attitude era being born in 1999 so I had to watch matches I never seen on RUclips too but funny u brought that up cuz matches like the hell in the cell was like 8 parts but the rumbles would be like 2 or 4 parts definitely just brought out mad memories 😂
Kurt Angle's rookie year in WWF in 2000 was incredible. Heck, I would say that it is the greatest, if not one of the greatest rookie years for a wrestler in history. I mean, look at what he accomplished just in 2000 alone, in no particular order. He won the King of The Ring, won the WWF European Championship, won the Intercontinental Championship, had a great and underrated match with Undertaker at Fully Loaded 2000, won the WWF World Championship that October, had a underrated feud with Triple H over Stephanie, had an underrated 6-man Hell In A Cell match at Armageddon 2000 against The Rock, HHH, Stone Cold, Rikishi, and Kane, and was part of a great and underrated three-main event match event at Fully Loaded 2000, to name a few things. I mean, Angle's rookie year in WWF in 2000 truly was incredible and great. Yeah, he had a couple bad moments in 2000. He accidentally broke Hardcore Holly's arm in April. In fact, Angle said that he felt so bad in real life that he visited Holly in the hospital and gave him flowers and stuff. Shows that Kurt is one of the most humble and most genuine people. Then, he suffered a bad concussion at SummerSlam 2000 after HHH attempted to Pedigree him on the announce table. Apparently, Angle was originally supposed to fake a concussion when they did that spot. Unfortunately, it didn't go that way. It was a real concussion. Then, he had that confusing, according to Chris Jericho(and he's kind of right) three way match at WrestleMania 2000. I mean, it was actually a pretty decent match and it was a good match. But, it was kind of confusing. But overall, Kurt's rookie year was awesome.
Brooo I was just going to message u if u could upload a vid on Kurt’s 1st world title run, after watching ur Kurt’s first year vid! Thanks dude! Keep up the great work my brother, one of my favourite wrestling content creators on here
What a rookie year he had probably one of the best rookie years in WWE . As for his 1st WWE championship reign, it could be considered transitional, but considering how long he held it for, I wouldn't really call it transitional. Now if he dropped it to likely Rock during the cell match then yeah it's transitional

@@pleaseshutup7053 He should when he's a total rookie, and despite that he won nearly every title and worked with the best in the business. Theres a reason his character was like this and the results speak for themselves. Leave the booking to pros
@@Dare1C yeah the results speak for themselves he was more over when he wasn’t booked as a coward his rookie year was easily the worst of his 7 year wwe run
@ and Kurt succeed inspite of the booking because he was just that good the Steph angle hhh angle was similar to Jericho HHh and Steph angle. The first one worked even tho the storyline abruptly ended and guess why?
@@pleaseshutup7053 Yes, its called character development. He cant just show up and be a badass wrestling machine from the start. he was still a rookie irl and in kayfabe within the company. He needed to add LAYERS first. Even as a rookie, he was still technically sound (from his legit background obv on display) but to make it in the WWE, he had to work his way up the ladder and burying faces isnt the way. The cowardly heel gimmick works for a reason (for many heels) and works perfectly with his overconfident character. fantasy bookers just want every character to be brock and steamroll chracters and thats boring. It wasnt the time for his chracter to be cool, esp first year in
This was definitely a transitional reign. Kurt wasnt on the same level as his opponents just yet. His feud with Austin the following summer helped with that.
No. Learn what transitional means. It is when you beat one guy just to drop it to a different guy shortly after because for some reason they don't want those guys fighting each other. Like they didn't want babyfaces Hogan and Backlund wrestling each other so they used Iron Sheik to get the title off Bob and onto Hulk. Kurt beat the Rock and then dropped it back to the Rock. It was done to reward him with a reign, just not make him the man at least yet. Completely different.
he was a great heel. i think you're mixing that up with a bad reign. i loved his stuff with taker, and he was gold on the mic. i mean just go back and look at flair. he'd get his ass whooped 90 percent of the match but thats what made hi a great cowardly heel.
Transitional champion? You don't know what transitional means, do you? Let me help, a transitional champion is someone you put the title on just to lose to another person quickly because you don't want 2 babyfaces facing each other. That didn't happen here. You can't transition the title from the Rock to the Rock. You should have done more research. It's common knowledge that Angle's title reign was a reward for coming back to finish the SummerSlam triple threat after suffering a concussion. Since the intent presumably was Rock vs Austin at WM17, there was no harm in taking the title of the Rock for a few months. It worked out because Kurt got to work with all the top guys during his reign further proving he belonged.

QUESTION: Has Kurt Angle ever had a bad year in WWE, from his debut in 1999 to his final in 2006? The Man always looked like he was in his prime.
When he came back in 2017
2004 I wouldn’t call it a great yeR for Kurt sue to injuries and his feud with Eddie boy being as great as it could be and the big show feud was weird
No.
i m impress bec he adopt fast and he is just 1 original kurt angle + he can do funny comedic segments heel and etc
