Rwanda marks 30th commemoration of genocide against the Tutsi

World leaders today joined Rwanda to mark the 30th commemoration of the Genocide. Rwanda began a week of solemn ceremonies to commemorate the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. More than one million people were killed in the 3-month massacre that was carefully planned and executed by extremist Hutus. Ben Kirui attended the KWIBUKA30 and filed the following story

It is now 30 years.I was 15 that time.I still have the chock of how I saw my siblings, parents and relatives helplessly and innocently killed. Survivors tried hard to continue life and forgive the killers to have a better country for the next generations and we made it.Rwanda is a secured and peaceful country today. Congs to our leders who were wise enough to know that revenge would entirely destroy our country.
