I saw a 1974 Colt brochure and the font matched, so that sign was probably pretty new at the time. Probably put up in 1973 or 1974. I had originally thought it meant "GOLF", as the top part said "FAIRWAYS" but I saw a video recorded around 1 October 1974 where there were still Mitsubishi Motors signs up. yes it is.
1000 mils would have made 1 cyprus pound. Post-1982 the cyprus pound was redominated to 100 cents with 10 mils being 1 cent.
