- Join us for a walk around the walled city of Famagusta Cyprus. We Take a look at the port the gates the old streets and the cathedral of St Nicolas now Lala Mustafa Pascha mosque. We get a guided tour of the Secret Garden guest house. We have tea and cake at Petaks bakery.

What a lovely B&B the secret garden is and wow that little cafe you went to Delish 😋 does the bus tour to famagusta you can book on the strip, is it with John , sorry if I have his name wrong, go to the old town as well as the ghost town please?

Famagusta is not "the north" its the extreme south east of cyprus. Its the famagusta district of cyprus,part of which is not occupied by the turks ayia napa etc
famagusta is part of the occupied area of cyprus known as "northern cyprus" an unregognised entity

Hi George we are out there for Christmas and was going to stay in our normal preferred location in Kapparis but understand there is a lot of work going on. Have you been through there recently. Hope you don’t mind me asking.

Hi guys went on a mini bus trip there a few years ago enjoyed seeing it again went to see the bombed hotels as well made me sad to see going to waste beautiful beach there😠
Yes we will be going there soon too. They have opened up some new roads, we will go and explore.

Never been to this area looks fantastic and sooo very cheap. The range of cakes pastries and Turkish delight looks lovely I would be there for ages trying to choose what to have😀 What a lovely man showing his guest house and gardens looked lovely.🙂

What do we actually need to do to be able to visit this walled town, please?
As of today, it changes all the time you need insurace for your car that you buy from the border and proof of 2 vaccines. Not 100% on when you need a test if not vaccinated Margaret.
Hi George. What did you need to go over the north ?? Your safe pass ?? And a test ??
No test needed if double vaccinated and insurance. Not sure if residency is needed, seems to change all the time.
