Never use a money exchange. Check with your CC to see if you don't pay international exchange rates. If you don't, always insist that they put the charge thru in local currency.
a lot of places are still cash only so having a bank that won't charge for international exchange on your debit card is also super important! like maggie said, sometimes local ATM is the best
Omg the elephants stories 🥹😍 The ellie teaching the baby was probably one of its nannies (like a granny, but not necessarily its blood relative). Elephants are my favorite and I would have been in absolute heaven seeing so many together!
WHAT! I was literally sitting here thinking the whole time that Maggie had the cutest jeans on. Imagine my surprise when I found out they were sweatpants 🤯🤯🤣 my flabbers were gastered
Thank you for sharing your adventure! It sounded amazing. ❤ I love elephants. I'm of the age when the Denver Zoo had Elephant and Camel rides. There are photos of me with strangers because little 5 year old me wanted to stay with "my" elephant as long as possible. While it is a beautiful memory, I'm glad that practice has been done away with. Have you seen "Casual Geographic" on RUclips? He is the best! I have learned so much about animals from him. He is also very quick-witted. I just wanted to share that, if anyone would be interested 😊
Just to clarify the male lions are the dominant/leaders of the pride. Their main role is to protect the pride (the women and cubs) from threats ie other male lions, buffalo, and hyeanas who will kill the cubs at first chance. They don't do most of the hunt because their mane makes it near impossible to camouflage and catch prey big enough to satisfy thier appetite. Their reign doesn't last long as they are challenged by younger male lions who take over the pride.
Would love a few more planned segments in the podcast, like the beginning of this episode of listing your favorites for example or “am I the asshole?” Stories are great but it’s nice to have it broken up by something else!
I would love more segments, guests and themes on this show. I feel like since Ariel left, this show isn't as strong. It feels immature, surface level and a little annoying. I already know people are going to say this is "hate" which is wild haha
My personal beef with Ariel on the show was that her contributions weren't terribly educated/informed (i.e., super patriarchal/gendered views on wedding and relationship norms in previous eps.), so I really like the balance they've struck since she left. If you're annoyed, maybe look for another pod?
I think my concern is yeah, I just unsuscribed. But I know their views have dropped significantly and I think more people have thoughts like mine. It's an easy fix to have segments and themes.
Becky! You need to get Libby! It connects to the library system but the audiobooks are free!!
Libby is my favorite app ever!
YESSSS
Yes!! Support public libraries!! I LOVE listening to audiobooks on Libby!
YES!!
And Hoopla!
was anyone else hoping to hear rainie's fave products/smells/books too? 😢
the smell of the rain after hitting the ground is petricore!!
Thank you! I had no idea until today there was a word for that.
Petrichor* but yes!
@@SlayshaRancor omg you're so right lol I was like, ah yes, (Kim) Petras-core 😂 lol
yep! one of my absolute favorites.
Maggie's pants are so cool, but when she said they're an investment she wasn't kidding. I just looked them up and they range from $190 - $290 😮
What are they called?:o
(ik its rag and bone but what model?)
Sadness
I loved this - I might be baised as South African living in Cape Town 🇿🇦 So proud! And you went to some stunning places!!

there are also credit cards that have 0 foreign exchange rates!
Even if they do, still pay in local currency. Their markups are higher than what your credit card would charge.

I love how well Becky knows her friends and she can answer questions about their lives better then they can
Sooo glad you got to experience coming to my beautiful country! 🇿🇦
I absolutely need to see more of the chaos that we saw in the first five minutes 😂
Can you all start doing outfit check-ins or links to outfits, because I am obsessed with the button up Maggie is wearing. Where is it from?! lol
I wonder if Zach and Maggie can share how they booked their safari bc now i really want to go to it!!!
We used Gate 1 Travel to book our trip to South Africa and many of the experiences sound similar. We were with a group though.
Becky looks even more beautiful than usual!!! She is glowing!!! ❤
The left side of the road is the 'right' side! You heard it; Maggie, an American who agrees with us here in Aus! lol
omg I've been waiting for this episode!!
Which lodge did they go toooo, cuz an infinity pool overlooking elephants sound magical
I second this!
Thank you for sharing your adventure! It sounded amazing. ❤

In all seriousness we do need the link for Maggie's pants.
Which company did you go with for the trip? I would love an itinerary to follow!!
Where is link for sweat pants?
I think I found them. I believe they’re one of the pairs of Miramar “denim” pants on Rag & Bone’s website.
I’m feeling stuck 2/3rd if the way with divine rivals too it’s not at all what I expected with the war storyline
Please tell us where you stayed~
These pants are very intriguing
So cool to hear your adventures here at home in SA 🇿🇦 you got to see some 👌🏾 places
Did Maggie not end up going to Amsterdam?
They did. couple days in amsterdam. Zach mentioned it on trypod ep278
29:59
Anybody wanting to know where exactly did they stayed so I can go to 😫🙏🏼😭
What brand is the airdry cream she mentioned?
Petrichor!
Super glad you enjoyed our beautiful Rainbow Nation🇿🇦✨
First view feels like an accomplishment!!
Right?! ❤

well tbh it is hate, if you don’t like their podcast anymore you can simply stop watching

these timed list things stress me out to listen to. Just list them off normally please!
