Rainie, look up the Sorted Food Bay Leaves episode! They did a blind taste test between a lot of dishes, two of each. One had bay leaves, one didn't, and everyone was unanimous saying dishes are better WITH bay leaves vs without.

Bay leaves can add a lot of flavor if you use them correctly! The flavor compounds are soluble in fat, so just throwing a bay leaf in a pot of soup won't do a whole lot. But if you're using a good amount of oil you'll be able to extract all of the woody, citrusy, and medicinal notes that make bay leaves so unique.

Bay leaves actually do add flavor, plus they're great for bloating and gas. Make a tea with at least 3 dried bay leaves. Let it steep about 10 minutes and sip.

95%+ of the time I just use spoons. Rarely touch forks and knives. I’ll usually use the back of a spoon to spread mayo, sour cream, whatever sauce. Saves on dishes and I just like spoons.
I've watched so much Mythical Kitchen and thought I knew Josh pretty well, but the first five minutes of this opened up so many new layers.
Perfect person should definitely win an award and so should the plog. You guys get me through my week.

I am SO the same as Josh; which is really interesting to me! I'm hypermobile (joints randomly popping out of place, which I hope Josh *doesn't* have) and do a lot of weight lifting to help manage that. But the weightlifting causes me a lot of pain- but i have to do it or the hypermobility will get worse. I don't try to get rid of the pain, because the pain tells me when something's wrong. It's given me a ridiculously high pain tolerance...blessing and a curse. W
What a fun podcast!
Make sure you’re careful! Hypermobility can be a sign/symptom of more serious conditions. Restistance training tends to be a better way of strengthening the muscles around joints without damaging them.
