    Just posted a video to my RUclips channel of my 1 ton excavator paired up with a TMK150 tree sheer. Crazy how well it worked for clearing trees!

    Just so you know….. the mini excavator applies less ground pressure to the soil than your tractor because the tracks spread out the weight over a much larger area than your tractor tires…. The mini ex would be considered an LGP low ground pressure machine while the tractor with tires is not. FYI.

    @GoodWorksTractors sells a rake to put on the back of your tractor. It would collect all of the needles and branches. Nice work so far. Thanks for sharing.

    I noticed that the props/stays you used against the gate posts are too short and too close to the ground. They will act like a lever and eventually lift the posts out of the ground, as the wire is strained. They should be 2/3rds the height of the post and at least 12 feet long to transfer the load into the ground away from the post.

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  2 месяца назад

      That makes sense, but in our tight clay it hasn't been an issue....the fence is 5 years old.

    I have an old KX71 for years with about 6000 hrs on it now and as much experience. Long pointed Rock teeth with a thumb on a 24" bucket is the best combo for maximizing the potential for this machine. Stock teeth suck.

      Our digging is easy. We need a 24" flat tooth bucket for digging ditches and grading. Thanks for watching.

      For digging, yes. For picking up things, the thumb is so valuable. Here's our latest video on using the excavator: ruclips.net/video/vuwoCySnfuQ/видео.html

    There were more stumps and roots than one would have guessed.
    You got a lot accomplished. Once you get it out, or in a dumb trailer it will be so much clearer and cleaner.

    for the amount of energy - time - money - damage to other roots - you could have hired - rented a stump grinder after you cut the stumps off at the ground level - I did both - I know -- i ended up busting a 24in new bucket completely to pieces - Just saying -
