      HAHAHA Wade, yes, he took Precious for a stroll...down the steep pond slope...after 45 min on the machine. LOL Even though I asked him to wait...I KNEW the chances of that were slim. We are enjoying the toy..eeeer machine and it really has been a huge asset to the farm. Thank you for your kind words, thank you for your support. We'll keep the videos flowing. Have a blessed day! I too have a KX71. My machine the is -4 with the enclosed cab and the dealer included a 6 way blade, thumb, and a root rake.
    So far this machine has done everything I have needed or wanted both for business and personal use.
    From tipping trees, digging out stumps, laying ditches, demolition of structures, grading, and all the other stuff I can find to do with it.

      Nice!!! I like open cab, but would enjoy that 6-way. Really like the no emissions part of them too! Thanks for watching.

    Awesome! Looks like a dandy little excavator, I've heard good things about Kubotas, their small and medium sized tractors are very popular for snow clearing here in Newfoundland. 😊

      @PineyGroveHomestead  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching! I've had great experiences with Kubota tractors over the years so I have no reason to switch brands. Although this is a small machine, I've already tackled some big jobs with it that we'll show in upcoming videos. I wish I had more time to use it! Take care, Brad&Deb

      Thank you! It's truly been an amazing addition, they're so versatile! We are definitely a Kubota family, our tractor is also Kubota, think Brad has orange in his blood. :) I'm thankful we don't have to clear snow here though! Take care!! Brad & Deb

    Funny I ask you about your excavator and when I got a chance to get back to checking out a couple of videos and this one came up. I thought it was bigger than it is. So I guess king of like the K033-4.

    Own two of these, use them in my excavation grading company. Advice … keep all of the pivot point pins greased after every 10 hours of use. Use a good quality grease. You’ll avoid several costly repairs down the road.

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  Год назад

      Good advice. It is stored inside and gets maintained like it's a race car!

      @@PineyGroveHomestead as an aside, Kubota really pushes their hydraulic fluid. Once out of warranty, I use shell rotella HD hydraulic fluid, changed after 200 hours religiously. I use this in all of my 24 pieces of equipment. A chemical engineer posted test results 2 yrs ago as a comparison over several oils, kubota included. The Shell oil outperformed in all categories and has unique proprietary wear guard additives. Since changing, I have noticed an across the line improvement. Better pressure, better heat dissipation and zero issues. FYI. It's also significantly less costly at $120 for 5 gallon pales.

    Wow! This is something...this is the first video that I found on the KX-71-3 that I'm looking at buying. The interesting part is that I am from PC also, planning to do almost the same thing you are doing. Maybe, we'll meet in the near future!

      It's a great machine but like all machines, it has limitations. We have a playlist on our excavator videos if you would like to see other videos on what we do with it: ruclips.net/p/PLG5yS75HLzo0v6LnCFxPlQOxbi6tlXdB0

    Bucket pin in the right pos. Put on a 24" 4 tooth with rock teeth. You won't regret it. Old K71 with over 6000 hrs and as much experience. Btw, I call mine Smokey. its wore out but won't die. Injectors replaced, master control replaced, numerous hoses. Burns a quart of oil in five hours. Starts easy after sitting in warm or cold, but smokes like a steam shovel. Runs like it was new. Kubota...will it ever die? Years of commercial service. Not pretty, but gets the job done every time.

      I spent a day last week mowing plots. Headed out to spray, pick up seed, hang cams and clear shooting lanes today...we'll plant in November. Hope to plant the farm food plot this weekend. I'm shooting video as I go and as Deb gets them edited, we'll post them up. Thanks for watching!

    You said you bought it from a broker. I was just curious what you were using for your search? Equipment trader? FB marketplace?

    • @PineyGroveHomestead
      @PineyGroveHomestead  2 года назад +1

      Yes, all of them you mention. I was searching within 100 miles then expanded to 500 miles. I was even considering shipping from the Northeast or Midwest for the right machine. Hard to find a low hour used excavator (especially now). There's lot more video of us using this machine on the property coming up! Thanks for watching. Brad&Deb

      I'm not sure how Kubota measures the digging depth, but I put in a pipe as deep as this machine could dig a trench and it was about 7' deep. Here's the video: ruclips.net/video/Hl4IQ6hdwLs/видео.html Thanks for watching. B&D
