    I purchased one 2 years ago. I had the Kubota shop install the 2 way valve for the extra hydraulics. I had to build a hydraulic thumb from scratch as no one makes one for this machine and I purchased a 24 inch grading bucket and a bucket quick connect from Rhinox England. I don't really use it to dig except for small things like burying the pets. I use it to pick up rocks and move logs for firewood. It's like having a robotic arm. It is also a great tool for making paths in the woods for walking or golf carts. 10 hp diesel goes all day on a gallon of fuel.

      Looking to do the same on my 2013. Did you put the pivot pin for thumb on the bucket pin or weld on separate one?

    • @anthonyspadafora1384
      @anthonyspadafora1384 Год назад

      @@AndrewMarsch I welded it to the arm. One mistake I made was doing the thumb first before switching to the quick release bucket. I had to get another thumb that was longer as the quick release extended the bucket. So if your going to do a quick release, do that first. Then measure for your thumb. Its a little tight, so just tack in place until you have it right where you want it.

      @@anthonyspadafora1384 ok thanks for the tip. How do you like the quick release setup? Looks like rhinox is the only one that offers it?

      @@AndrewMarsch I purchased a 30 inch grading bucket with no teeth from Rhinox and it is really easy to go from my 12 inch digging bucket to the grading bucket. The grading bucket works great for loading loose stone or just cleaning up. So yes I like it and I would buy it again.

    Just picked one up, mine smokes badly on startup after glowing for 20 seconds and feels like it’s missing on one or more cylinders. Runs great once warm. I don’t think this is normal but local dealer said you may have to glow for a min… temps are just above freezing.

      Mine runs like that too. Or if it has sat for a long time. Runs a bit rough for a minute.

      Yes, brand new (it's April 2024) they go around $25,000 - 27,000.
      But you can find used ones sold from rental yards with around 300 hours (1-2 years use) up to 700 hours (3-4 years) for around $13,000 - 18,000.
      Don't let paint scratch scare you. This thing will get dirty and keep going. If the tracks are worn, usually about 750 - 1200 hours depending on the operator, and terrain it was used on, you can buy 2 tracks for around $500. I'm sure you can get them installed by a large lawn mower mechanic for $200 - $500.
