With Ripken's help, the Orioles were in the playoff race until they lost to the Milwaukee Brewers on the final day of the season.

I lived in Baltimore at the time of the affair situation with Costner. I had heard then from VERY reliable sources that it was in fact true and the power outage was staged to keep the streak alive. Unfortunately we, as regular people have a hard time believing the garbage that goes on behind the scenes amongst the elite stars.
I think that if we knew all the dirt we would have a heart attack. 😢
