I've used a couple of these tips even on my Ui12 for my little acoustic duo. Taking our sound (not necessarily talent!) up a level. I also run a couple of open mic sessions and it's great to see the appreciation on players faces when you can nail their sound quickly and easily.
Koostix GY High Kostix I do a two piece vocal open mic night here in Ireland also but using my xr18 can you share a coupe tips with me on ur vocal presets
What a great tutorial! Thank you! Amazing trick! The only thing I did not get is how the signal is routed to five channels. I have a very weak notion on how it was done but it would be of great help if you clue me in. I would like to try this method on live gig. Thank you!
Thanks and great video :) I have a UI16 and can "stereo link" 2 channels to pan L and R, but I do not have the Delay mS shown on the "Gate" view which you have and shown in video 52 seconds ? How do I do similar on UI16 - and if possible and preferred without introducing FX ? I run latest firmware = 1.0.7548-ui16. Thanks in advance
Great Video. Which Input Channel do you use for the Mikrophone ?.....i do not understand how to patch one Input Channel (with a microphone) to different Channels in the Mixer :(
Hello, I have another question and i hope I'm right here?....-) Actually i use EZ drummer software to improve the edrums sounds. Is it possible to connect the laptop via usb to the mixer ui 24R to feed the sounds of EZ drummer software into the mixer? Is there perhaps a tutorial about it? or an explanation? best regards
My idea is to send the headphonesignals of the PC via a cable to the line inputs of the UI 24. That should work .... I'll try it. Thanks again for the quick Support and have a nice sunday!....
Hi their can you please show us one to one how you created the vocal effect and patching from a dry channel 9 to 5,6,7,8,10 i would like to patch only on aux channel not master at this stage. Also is their option to send on both separately controlled on master and aux ?
You can use the Patch Matrix page, to patch any input to as many channels as you need. This patches to master and AUX, you cannot just patch for AUX channels this way. How ever you could patch to some unused MASTER channels (like 23-24) and only use these in your AUX send.
Great video and very intuitive is there any possibility I could get this effect on my xr18 using X-Air? Could I hire you online through maybe ZOOM ? On a one to one? Thanks again...
You would have to use one of the sidechain effect engines as an insert effect on one of the XR-18 channels to get the delay on one side. The rest is all done in the routing. Assign 1 physical input to 5 channels.
If you are talking about the delay SPREAD (20ms delay) to get a stereo width type effect. You need to patch 2 inputs to the same source (in this example it was coming from MTK channel 8) and delay One of them by 20ms. As far as the Delay FX (Studio delay/Echo) this is generally done from the main vocal channel in this instance again from input 8 of MTK into channel 8. (as you can see I setup several channels coming from the same source)
Thank you for the quick answer. (always the best!!!) I'd like to knew from what channel did you send the signal to the fx. As I understood, as I thought, you send it from channel (. Thank you! ;) PS. this saturday I'll check thi configuration in a gig, in add I'll set one more channel super compressed (as I'm used to. Something similar to Motown Vocal Compression).
Здравствуйте, а можно переводить на русский язык Ваши ролики о UI24R? Многим русскоязычным пользователям этого замечательного микшера будет полезно. Спасибо.
You should hire a sound engineer to mic you so we could hear you! Sounds like you’re laying down in bed under the covers whispering to your girlfriend on a cell phone! 😏
Legend has it, she's still looking at that window...
I think so as well..
@@mix-record-connect9938 haha sorry for the microtrolling I just couldn't resist it. Really enjoyed all the series on the Ui24R tho!
3 shows in and this thing is amazing. Just scratching the surface.

Please how can I record and hear all processed mixes outside the ui24r. Essentially how can I get all the processed mixes on the USB.
Thanks for the video! Would like to know your reverb settings...got sometimes a kind of struggle with it

Just assign the same physical input channel to the 5 mixer channels.
Excellent video!! Very creative
Great ideas
Poderia dizer quais máquinas de efeito está usando nos racks??
Thanks and great video :)

You use the Patching section of each channel or the main patching screen (if you have V2 firmware)
Thanks a lot for your Support.
Hi mate, how can I automate UI24 live? Volumes, FX, mutes?
and, can I sync it with Studio One? Always in a live gig. Thanks!
You could via MIDI to Ui interface, a few companies have software for this
@@mix-record-connect9938 But UI 24 doesn´t have MIDI input. Please name me the companies.

Yes you can, sure.. just use the USB AUDIO Driver in EZ drummer and bring the channels into the UI24R

According to instruction I am stuck at the reverb section what was the effect used is it cathedral, room, garage?
Just have a look a the fader positions. That's the only thing you can change.. the presets are just different Fader positions.

One thing I can't understand:

Channel 8
How do you set up the main channel strip so that an input can be used as a postfade send to an aux master but. It to main LR
ON the FX or AUX send you can select it to be PRE or POST fader
just set the AUX or FX to be POST FADE instead of PRE FADE, each channel on each AUX can be changed

Why is your audio so low? It's as if every video has to be cranked up to hear anything.
You should hire a sound engineer to mic you so we could hear you! Sounds like you’re laying down in bed under the covers whispering to your girlfriend on a cell phone! 😏
