it's bit stupid. It should be done other way - create a user, give password and configure access. E.G. if someone logs in as USER1, he/she automatically gets access to aux1 only.
Hello and thanks for your videos and your effort. My band just bought this mixer but we have a problem with the access. How do we set it up so that the sound engineer can access to everything on it and musicians only to their aux via the monitor? The sound guy tablet works just like a mobile phone and can access the same as we do. I don't know if I can explain it properly. Thanks in advance!
So the client "could" choose to control aux 3, 4 or whatever, but to avoid accidents, we'd want the client to be sure they choose only the aux they want to control? Or can that be locked down... ie. How to make sure Joe's iPhone only controls aux3 and he can't mess with anything else? (and by "client" I assume you mean device, meaning the system knows Joe's iphone's browser session has a certain permission?)
you can go very deeply into security levels and it was a choice of complicating things further or giving enough control for most jobs. In most cases would users on purpose change the AUX control? once it's set, why would they go to the access page and change this setting? (Unless they wanted to interfere with the system on purpose I would not consider it an accident to select SETTINGS, go to the ACCESS page and change an AUX to allow control, then go back out to that AUX and change levels).
Thank you for this great tutorial video. I wasn't able to make sense from the user guide. But with your video it was easy like a breeze. Would be great if you could arrange your videos in Playlists to have a better overview.
You need to be very careful with the password for access control, if you accidentally enter a character wrongly on a client device then this can become the new password and if you did not notice the error then you will get a 'wrong password' notification which will require a full factory reset (unfortunately I found this out the hard way ;-( So it makes sense to avoid using any passwords on the client devices as suggested...- Fabulous mixer though!!
How is the full reset? ami also happens to me that the password gives me incorrect, please I need you to help me how to reset it completely because the normal reset does not finish erasing the generated password
My idea is to have the UI24r as a central hub. I have 3 separate live rooms and each one will have control of 8 channels. Considering that, for bands rehearsals' sake, QUESTION 1: can I change the label of the channel so the number 9-16 appears as "ch 1-8" on that particular live room control? Each room will have a tablet with the according bus controls. The PA coming out of a specific bus (room 1: bus 1 / room 2: bus, etc). QUESTION 2: can I allow control of EQ only of specific channels? (intending one room doesnt change another room's channels EQ). Thanks a lot for the vid!
When setting up access control, I noticed that the client could changed aux controls locally. I for instance I wanted the client to only have access to aux 1 how would I do that. I , as a client, was able to give my self control of any of the auxes. How would I restrict the client from giving themselves to auxes other than their own?
I don't understand why you can't set the access control from the main client admin console for all the specific bandmembers. The average bandmember isn't IT oriented so I would rather set it up before so they only have to use the MoreMe function. Isn't there a way to set it up for all clients without having to fysically access the bandmembers phones/tablets? I tried it by selecting every single Aux and then used the 'assign ME' option to link the channel to that particular Aux. But then I still get 'no Me channels and no Aux out' when I log in via ui.io on a mobile browser.
You have a built in router as well, but depends on the size of show and where the show is you may want to use a more powerful external router. You can control the Ui24 from a HDMI monitor connected directly, WIFI or LAN all 3 at the same time.
@@AndrewDInSydney they cannot , when you log out it stays in the mode it is in unless you know the password to change it. Logging out just means no one can change the settings.
Hello - Is there a way to change the number of channels seen for the personal mixes, ie I dont need channels 16-24 visable, but want the player included, or is there a way of having a VCA type personal mix view for lets say drums with the spill option to control the individual drums if needed so a muso could just change the overall drum volume in ear without having to do each individual drum?
Hi we have a ui16 setup in our school hall which we use for assemblies and music productions, how can i give the music department access to the ui16 without them having the ability to delete shows/snapshots, can we have multiple accounts to login and secure or is it setup differently to that?
Sorry ive just looked again and realised its not the system its the way we are trying to access it, ill setup them up a device with access to just the relevant areas.
@@mix-record-connect9938 Hi ive tried this but as i change it on my main device the other device gets the same settings and vice versa am i missing something
Love the Soundcraft, but this makes no sense at all. This is not Access Control, it is what Gwyneth Paltrow called “Conciously Uncoupling” when she split from her husband., so it’s not a restraining order placed by an authority, it’s her saying “hmm I don’t think I’m into him anymore”, but divorces and breakups get messy, what if you have drama in the band and the Guitarist organised the gig and the Bassist is trying to sabotage it for him. The point of Access Control on any software is that the Main User or Administrator in our case, the Guitarist, defines the access limits for all other users. In this case Soundcraft has set it up so that each user logs in with the same password and chooses their own access limits. So how can I check the Bassist doesn’t have access to the main mix without going and picking up and snooping on his phone, am I supposed to Police the the access with each band member’s device individually and physically?
I agree, this is not really access control. In my band no-one wants to mess with anyone else's aux levels but the opportunity for fat-fingered changes is always there and this is wide open for a snafu to happen. You should be able to control this 'client' access through an admin account so each client can log in and only have access to their settings. I won't be able to use this feature until it's locked down a little better.
31 band graphic for AUX and MASTER. (and compression) you do have 12 PEQ built into the AFS (Automatic feedback suppression). So you could first TUNE using fixed AFS as well.
Hi! If I have a main master password tablet and I want my phone same as the tablet, tablet is logged in and can I log in with my phone at the same time with the master password and remote the mixer with the two master password device?
First, please write down passwords somewhere in future. The only way is to RESET the passwords, please have a look in your manual and make sure you update your firmware always.
Mix-Record-Connect I have the same issue, Iong time ago I tried to put a master password but right after I erased by doing the full reset but it just happened again, I locked me out and even with the full reset I can’t get access to it!! Any idea? Thanks for the help!!

On the Sound engineers Tablet, he would LOG IN and DISABLE the Access control so he has access to ALL the parts of the mixer.

You only setup access control ONCE on the main unit. The band members can just select which AUX they are controlling.
are there router inside or do i have to hook up the mixer whit cable
