the moment that door laughed like the count from sesame street that's when i knew the tutorial would be fire lol. awesome video man, this helped a lot.
this is the first tutorial in 1-2 hours of scrolling that i have seen someone actually animate a open/close door themselves without using Add ons to auto do it. like bruh im just trying to make a simple door for a house
I think I'm going to try this on a bay door that rolls up (eg like the bay doors in a garage). I had no idea you can extrude an armature just like a vertex, an edge or a face. Brilliant! Thank you thank you thank you!
So did I get this straight ? -You created a certain movement (ShipDoorAction) for your bones in the Action Editor over a certain number of frames (160 in that case), so each frame in the frame range 0 -> 160 matches a specific position of the bones. -Creating an Action Bone Constraint with the Empty as the target kind of "engages" the Empty's Z position as the new controlling parameter instead of the flowing time (the possible positions of your bones available over the frame range 0 -> 160 for ShipDoorAction being controlled by the Empty's Z position over the range 0 -> 5)
with it in a few weeks or months if I pour enough ti and effort into it. I'll be watcNice tutorialng many more of your videos for tips and inspiration.
very helpful, muchas gracias. do you ever use blenderkit to download models? they have windows and doors connected to armatures you can download. Could you make a video explaining how to download a model that already has a rig & how to use the rig included to pose and/or animate it? I would find that very helpful as well.
I'm not really good at rigging so I parented my objects to empties and put the action constraints on my empties but it keeps offsetting their location or messing with the scale. Should I just learn how to rig or am I doing something else wrong
I tNice tutorialnk he does teach very well but....... it's very complicated for a complete beginner. I have been seeing tutorials for the past week and
The one tNice tutorialng I would like to do (and tNice tutorials will completely convert ) is to copy and paste items from one project to another, it just doesn't
tNice tutorialngs work. I do read so stuff in the manual but there is a lot, or I try to find tNice tutorialngs on youtube. So more help will be appreciated.

Thank you man, after a few years of not wanting to touch rigging because it seemed too complex, you showed me that it isn't that bad! :)

Complicated topic, but your explanation make it way easier!
i really need to know more basic blender time saving tricks like this, and this tutorial was a life saver.

Nice one 👌 what's about things that can stretch? Let's say I do a crossbow and the strings should bend that way?
I would be using shape keys for that.
@@Markom3D but how can I add it to the current Animation clip of the armature? To use the Clip in a game engine
Cool!!!
Clever :)

Does this work for making a dome open with the armatures being in the same place, not touching the actual mesh pieces?
Awesome tutorial! Does this method also work with multiple action modifiers, empty’s and animated actions? Thanks in advance! :D

All of my computers got the softwares here. I first install them on virtual environnt to make sure they're not malware. So I can assure

I have followed these steps but it doesn’t seem to be working
Did bro had taco bell at 0:52?
Bahhahahaha never having it before, that is guessing what It would sound like
For some reason me being left handed I find all the hot keys extremely frustrating every time I have to use Blender. :/
