Hello guys! I am little bit tired and bored of these type projects(diorama, armored ground targets for aircraft, sci-fi etc). I will build some aircraft and ship models for a while, I mean a very long time. Thanks for watching and see you soon on the next episode!
VEE hobby just released their 1/700 South Dakota battleship kit with lots of detailed photo-etch parts and an amazing hull. Highly recommended to give it a try.
This base is so beautiful and i was thinking about getting a 3d printer to actually build an aircraft carrier base too but to be totally honest, with all these 3d printing videos now i got a little tired of them 3d printers everywhere before i even got one myself. Lots of guys still can't afford them, or just aren't interested in learning to design 3d so i decided not to get one yet and still making videos in (looks like now) old fashion way for now but i will help myself with some resin aftermarket parts that are avaible for everyone. Glad you said you are tired of these project and want to builkd some aircraft and ships again! That aircraft carrier base is dope dude! Stay safe mate!
Hi Dawid, while I was building some projects I felt desperate to find new objects from the market for building something different. These machines are exactly for that to me. My motto for resin detail sets is if it's on the market just buy it. Designing and printing is way expensive than buy it. At least for me. If you approach the subject in this way, you will find the right answer. This is another hobby in its own right and goes well with scale modeling. If you want another hobby, you should buy a 3D printer, if you just see it as a tool for scale modeling, trust me it is not :) Ps: gratz for 100k subs!
Since I got my printers, never build a kit again, drawing and printing stuffs for others like for that Kittyhawk mirage 2000 serie. Now stuck with some upgrades for the Italeri mirage III and revell F-4 both 1/32... 😕
I don't blame you @Scale Hangar 182. Many people got a 3D printer but they only print stuff that is available. Initially that's what I did and then I started modifying STLs to fit my needs and little by little I have been learning to make my own designs. I will agree that is it not for everyone. I can get lost for hours designing the small details and getting everything just right, then print it and make more adjustments until I get the result I want. I know for the majority of people it is just a pain in the ass and not worth their time. They just want to print something out and nothing more. I agree that if there are detail kits readily available then just buy it and save yourself the time you would spend designing and printing them to actually building. The only times I make parts, or at least try to, is when there is no aftermarket parts for that particular kit or if I needed several of the same ones would take up lots of time and would rather let is print those out and advance the kit build.
Always been a huge fan. I hope you may consider doing internal decks of 1/350 carriers as there are very limited suppliers and demanding unrealistic prices IMO ...oh well eitherway always love your work my friend
I just started modeling and 3-D printing about a month and, guys, trust me when I tell you: everything you see here IS SOOO MUCH HARDER than it appears. Lolol but grinding away but wow - yeah - takes skill and patience
I just discovered your channel after watching PLASMO and he commented that you had dropped a video as well. After watching a few of your videos, I am hooked! THANK YOU so much for including your paint ratios and other technique details. I've already learned a lot and figured out a few things I can improve on with my own modeling. I'm a 47 year old beginner and videos like yours are gold to me. Thanks again from a new fan and subscriber.
And thank you for showing so much of the actual work, it allows us ‘newbie’ sorts to actual LEARN techniques. Although I’m still trying to figure out how you guys manage to paint all those bits & bobs AFTER they are all assembled. 🤔 🚀
Amazing Job on the aircraft flight deck! I remember watching the F-14 build you did last year. One difference is that you modeled an F-14D not an A model. They are completely different.
@@Scaleaton I totally understand. Theres a market for diorama carrier pieces that as far as I seen hasnt been tapped into. Maybe because of the complexity of it. But its something im sure people would buy (at a pretty good price tag) if some one would sale an STL.
it's nice seeing someone 3d printing this kind of stuff. everyone seems to be doing miniatures. but what i'm interested doing primarily is set pieces for dioramas, wall panels and floors with panel lines, pipes, mechanical elements, etc. modern/military things. FDM just isn't good enough for that. you can't have a flat surface without lines.
Incredible this video ... congratulations to the person in charge of assembling this kit for the section of an aircraft carrier. It is a true work of art! It is another level and it looks like technology from another planet ... only the phrase was missing at the end: "Take me to your leader" Laughs
Have wanted to make a diorama like this for years. Giving me inspiration to do some of my own 3D printing and make it happen. Any chance you will offer up your STL files?
Outstanding and skilled work all-around. Thank you for sharing this. After watching, I've determined that you are one of the most patient men on Earth! :) Thanks again.
I love all your videos , in fact I also love the music you use. I can’t see any credit for the music? Is it possible for you list or link the music for me? Also more big scale please any 1/24 aircraft?
This is absolutely amazing!!!! Incredible beautifull!!!! IMHO you are simply the state of art of static scale modelling!!!! Whenever you may decide to put .stl files on the market please let our poor 1/72 tomkittens know about 😀 Best best greetings and wishing clear skies from Italy
Very impressive accomplishment! The design work is amazing and the is key to 3D printing. I had never seen resin printing so I learned something new and interesting on that. As always your build, paint and weathering are incredible. Thanks for sharing. There are some interesting resin ship models in 1/700 and 1/350 from WWII that would be challenging and of interest to those of us that have never tried one. One of the cruisers or heavy cruisers would a nice change from carriers and battle ships. Take care and looking forward to seeing the direction you go.
Incredible! Your design work is just amazing. Would you ever consider making your files available to purchase? I would absolutely pay to be able to print some of your work.
Amazing! i'd recommend getting a screen protector for the MonoX - as it's film so removing resin can damage it especially if it spills or the vat leaks! few companies do them for it!
Excellent video. Any chance you can do a longer one specifically about how to use the blender software and the process from taking the plan of the deck to a final CAD design? Thanks.
I just discovered your channel while looking for how to make an aircraft carrier deck in that scale ! it's a great build. I was wondering if you have listed the stl files for sale?
How bad is it that i saw scale-a-ton post with tomcat on a cat, and w/o reading clicked? While watching, hey, cat 4, and a beautiful F-14D.... Then I read your caption.... At any rate, very nice work!

Looking forward to anything you choose!
(Arma Hobby has some nice and relaxing kits. 😉)
Yees, ship models woooohooo
VEE hobby just released their 1/700 South Dakota battleship kit with lots of detailed photo-etch parts and an amazing hull. Highly recommended to give it a try.
Wow! I will check it!
Let’s be honest, ever since 3D printers started getting better and reliable, this was expected. Well done. Can’t wait for the next original piece.
As a former US Navy F-14 squadron member I would have to say you nailed this model/diorama!
Funny, I don't recall there being that many padeyes on the flight deck when I was aboard a US Navy CV, and I spent MANY hours on the flight deck.
I think you should market that kit or at least sell the file, I think many people would want that
i want it, so badly 🤤
I would think that once you’ve designed the computer files, it would not cost much for the time and materials to make some kits to sell.

You've built a fabulous model of the 4th catapult section! Now let's build the rest of the aircraft carrier
Damn, I love future. With right amount of talent and knowledge you can make projects that were unimaginable just couple of years ago.
Wow. Amazing work, thanks for sharing it with us!
This is just amazing and I love how high quality the resin printers have become
The filter you used on the model during the end credits made the model look like an art work
Yes, I love it!
Imagine hole ship in that scale and full of details . Just Epic

I couldn't get enough of this video, fantastic job! It combines both my passions, 3D printing and aircraft modelling, well done!

Ok now you HAVE to do the rest of deck! As always a beautiful display!
Here is an impressive work and result but before all, here is an incredible talent!
Wow, excellent work. 3D printing is definitely part of the future of the model making hobby.
Looks good and saves you having to buy and convert an actual aircraft carrier flight deck section - well done and presented.
Amazing Job on the aircraft flight deck! I remember watching the F-14 build you did last year. One difference is that you modeled an F-14D not an A model. They are completely different.
The level of detail is astounding. Well done, and amazing paint job!
If you ever put that model stl for sale, I would be a buyer
To be honest building this with my own design was the hardest model build in my life :) I need to simplify it before share or sell :)
