Hold my finger.
Honestly: I think you are the BEST model maker in RUclips. Another masterpiece!!
oh for sure and it isnt close
PLASMO on aircrafts and Night Shift on AFV
He is fanbloodytastic. But I reckon the title goes to Nightshift, the realism on that guy is insane. I feel like Plasmo results are more obtainable for us mortals.
@@garijarmany465 And what about Scale-a-ton and Ebroin ?
The Michael Jordan of modelers.
"Model is almost complete... almost"
*me, seeing just under 10 minutes of runtime left on the video*
time for a few minor modifications?
You know it!
Time for a few minor notifications.
Plasmo: “Hello fellow modelers”
Me: “What is thy bidding, my master?”
You never know how much we missed you !!! RUclips is much duller place without your videos
your videos have made me start to enjoy the hubby again after 30 odd years off. if im half as good as you in 10 years, i will be happy. thanks for the inspiration
Glad to see you again!
I am glad that you are back 😎
Hope all is well.
"im a dirty boy who likes dirty planes"- wasnt something i was expecting to hear
I’m usually pretty proud of myself when I assemble something out of the box, put some PE on it and manage a decent paint job. Your videos inspire me to try new things and improve. Great job, and thank you!
I’m a simple man, plasmo uploads a new video, I click.
New Plasmo vid touches down, a good day.
I built this model and am in awe of what you have done with the same kit. You are 300 to 500% better than me, but you inspire me to get even better. Really nice work man!

Amazing job, this is a incredibly well done model and you are a true master
From the thumbnail I thought it was an actual plane. I'm floored by the detailing.
Just as I wanted to learn a bit. God bless you Plasmo!
Your work, as always, is museum quality! The stills look like they were taken of a real aircraft! Beautiful!
Never seen this level of skill...absolutely amazing
Wow you just turned my childhood model building upside-down.
Outstanding build- though I wouldn't expect anything less. Doesn't seem to matter how long you're gone; you always come back better than ever. Hope everything's working out for you in your world, and we'll be here for you next time you come around. Enjoy your coming week.
You've inspired me to pull out the modeling supplies after a twenty year hiatus. Great tips and pointers! Been watching your videos for months now. Keep them coming! Currently working on an A-10. Having a blast. Thank you!
G'day David, I just got through commenting on a recent video (FEB22) in which you did a simple build on a 1/72 Thunderbolt, brilliantly. Here, in this video, you showcase the other end of your creative skills. David, you have the hands of a surgeon; I kid you not, I used to work with surgeons. I would love to do the scratch accessories you do but as I'm in my 67th year, I pretty much know that isn't going to happen; although I'll give it at least one go.
As I used to work around military aircraft, I'm a stickler for accuracy and weathering. Your interpretation of this USMC Corsair is spot on. The Corsair was one of the most effective, lethal aircraft in WW2, yet as you demonstrated with research pics, it had one of the dirtiest power plants of the entire war.
Naval and Marine people have a long tradition of keeping all their equipment clean in 'ship shape' condition; but with the Corsair they reached a point where it was useless to even try to clean up after this filthy engine.
It was truly enjoyable to see you do the, accurate, lighter blue of the USMC as 99% of modellers choose to do the Dark Navy Blue of the USN.
Blue, no matter how dense it may be applied is one of the colours in the spectrum that fades the quickest when exposed to sunlight, especially around the equator. I've seen pics of USN Corsairs faded so much they look like the USMC aircraft when they rolled out of the factory.
I really enjoyed this video but I think you had the most fun of all, and so you should. You're an excellent modeller and when you started you had the bare minimum of specialist tools but still managed to turn out fantastic models.
Thank you, David. I'll bookmark this video and look at it when I need the inspiration to go just a bit further with my detailing. Cheers, Bill
Simply inspirational. You make it look so easy. I never understood the gull-wing on this aircraft until I saw the amount of exhaust stains you painted under the fuselage.
Fantastic! Your weathering techniques are great. I have been applying them to my own builds and they work well! Thank you for sharing!
This is an absolutely stunning build of one of the most iconic planes in the world!! Nice that you chose the bird cage version as they aren't as common. This build, as with all of your builds, is filled with magnificent weathering. I was in aviation for over 30 years, working on heavies (C-130s, P-3 Orions, Boeing 777s, and so on) and you have really nailed weathering. Keep up the masterful work, David!!
As always you stop surprising us by taking a basic kit with your ton of improvement that makes it even more beautiful !!!
I consider you one of the best model maker on RUclips that I have seen to date !
What a beauty! Just finished this kit myself.
That is astonishing, you managed to make a model the size of your hand appear as realistic as the lifesize real thing, it actually looks real in some of the final shots.
I love love love your videos and commentary! It's just so soothing to hear and amazing to see! ;D
You are simply The best. I have watched ALL tour videos severel time each. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. Many greetings from Denmark 😊
Thank you for including that frame or two of you redoing the rivets on the side - it’s nice to know that repairing mistakes are also part of the process.
For the next kit, I would love to see a simple, brush painted, Airfix kit. Since all of your work looks so professional, it would help me out a lot!
There is a reason you don't see the pros using brushes to paint an entire kit. Or build Airfix .
I'm waiting for Plasmo and (or) Big Planes to try tackling an IL-76. Big Planes works more with aircraft, but Plasmo has more experience with old Soviet ordinance.
@@TheModelGuy I understand that, but I would like to see if he could fix the kit and make it look nicer. Just a suggestion
Not sure why I was recommend this, but I'm glad I was. I used to make models when I was younger, but I never had this kind of skill. Very well done!
9:26 That wing is definitely happy!
More details than the actual airplane, amazing details, mesmerizing.
Божественно! Лучший канал о моделизме, что я видел. Равняюсь на тебя!
Perfektní jako vždy.
Ať se daří :-)
Lol cz
A few months ago when watching your “Walk around” video I noticed the Corsair amongst your kit stash, and I commented that I hoped you would build it ………prayers now answered….superb build and many thanks!
Beautiful work on the weathering, not overdone, subtle and much more accurate
PLASMO: "In today's video - I open box.."
Tamiya: [profuse sweating intensifies]
It looks wonderful, as always. Thank you for sharing.
Exellent job as always, David!
Wonderfully recreated one of the most beautiful aircraft ever designed! You've done the F4U justice.
PLASMO: The return of the king
I just need this video for making my mood better! Thx
Vážený pane, smekám před Vaší prací a modely. Nejlepší modelařina, co jsem kdy viděl. Ještě jednou.....velká paráda. Díky za videa.
Excellent job! That is the best Corsair kit ever. You added great details and made that kit look real. Excellent build Sir.
The level of details and attention to those details is mindblowing!
You, sir, are one of my heroes!!
Been waiting for a new video for sooo long! Made my day brother!
Amazing. I've literally just started the same kit! Hmmm.... going to have to up my game quite a bit.....
Thanks for the tutorial on how to open the box. I followed it step by step and mine turned out great.
I'm very new to modelling, watching your videos inspires me to get better, I learn so many techniques and tricks from your videos and I hope in the future I can make my models look even remotely as good as yours! Thanks for the inspiration
Excellent result! Finished mine not long ago. One small thing I noticed: The hole on the landing flap of the starboard side was not present on the f4u-1 and f4u-1A Corsairs.
Нереально круто. Одно удовольствие смотреть !
wow. Excellent video as usual.. You made me buy and build a model at 30. After 18 years without doing one. It took me back to my childhood and I really enjoyed it. So thankyou. I've been in a rut with the modelling and not bother for a year, due to constant issues with spray pen. But you may have just inspired me to return!
You and Nightshift are not only the best modellers i know on RUclips but also alot off fun to watch. Great work and thanks for another great vid.
I got completely sideswiped by the jokes in this one. It's nice to know that despite your top notch work, you don't take yourself too seriously. Keep up the absolutely incredible work!
OMG, one of my favourite ww2 planes 🤩. Looks amazing
“Minor adjustments.” 😂 PLASMO is so understated. Mind blowing detail. Genius.
I've been making models over 40 years. This is amazing. Just great
One of the shots in the montage at the beginning, somehow it looks like an easter egg for a future model!
Not sure. Could be an Easter egg as well
Chill, guys! It's probably just an easter egg. For a future model maybe?
@@DavidtheM idk man... looks like it could be an easter egg for one of his next models
Amazing work, as usual! Hope to see more work in this scale or 1:35. I don't really like 1:72 or below, even if you do a really great job on it.
Absolute perfection in model making... It looks like its just landed after operations and been hit by a shrink Ray...U truly are a Master craftsman
The F4U Corsair was a gorgeous plane and your craftsmanship is exemplary.
that made my night hearing him say " oh yes, this is juicy" then comes classical music😂😂
You are the best at your job! I've never seen anyone like you! Congratulations!
During your absence I watched some channels of other modlers. Some do incredible water dioramas. But your weathering skills are absolute unmatched...once again great work.
Your skills are really great. Weathering techniques and delicate work are very helpful. Excellent plastic model making. I think your plastic model is an art work.
The best feeling - Plasmo sunday video. Greetings from Poland
Thanks. Greetings neighbor
The F-4U's were operated from carriers, especially later in the war as the fight progressed across the Pacific and there were no land bases in range. For example Okinawa and Iwo Jima.
I always enjoy your builds and tips. You do a fantastic job.
Carrier based it was after british pilots mastered the landing process.
@@fko079 Yes they did. That big prop and long nose made it difficult.
Beautiful Corsair! Great vídeo as always! Thank you! Stay safe!👍
Well what more can one say then "Thank You"
for not only "knowing how, but showing how".
I am amazed at your "insane" modelling skills and you Sir have a talent not only I but many others wish we had.
My hat off to you.
I call BS on the not gluing your fingers together.. EVERYONE does it. ;)
Peeling ca glue off your fingers is strangely satisfying 😂 It’s like dry skin😮
its called gloves
@@TheeTroutKing That's not fun.
@@jaanikaapa6925 yes, i know
I dont care about gluing my fingers...it's when I bugger photo etch parts because the glue dries so fast. THAT I care about.
EPIC! wow I love it xD I making Bismarck xD
Flyhawk 1/700?
@@idaemonplasmo is that scale 1/700?! more epic yeah
@@idaemonplasmo and could you give me some tips for Bismarck scale 1/350 lvl 5 coz I want to make it look epic for my yt and you're pro model builder and maker
The rugged beauty of the bent-wing wonder perfectly captured. But what a lot of work! Bravo!
Amazing eye for details as usual and the paintjob is just beyond words. Wow!
Specially the belly, I really love when the plane looks that dirty cuz that just show that this one has most likely just landed after a successful bombrun on some japanese bases or aircraft carriers in the pacific.
This model epitomizes the true durability of the F-4U and the punishing conditions the Marines fought in from unimproved airfields in the Pacific Islands during WWII. David you are a true artisan and your models belong in museums. Bravo!!!
That's a lucky that i finished my f4u recently. Just in time to watch making this masterpiece and without regret it.
‘ good to have you back ‘ , the world is a brighter place now , thankyou , you take the focus off this mess that’s happening in the world for a moment in time !
Simply amazing. The patience and attention to detail are phenomenal.
I've been building models for over 50 years but let me tell you, your work is fantastic. After seeing this video I ordered the 1/32 corsair, you've inspired me. Thankyou
Incredible work once again! I never quit being amazed about the work you are doing. Well done and keep the good work up! Incredibly impressive!
Amazing. Just amazing. A F4U-2 from VMF(N)-532 is my future build.
I need to get my hands on that Omask - 64005 set!
Amazing as usual David, you are the standard all modellers hold themselves to. MORE PLEASE!
Very nice looking fighter plane this F4U Corsair fantastic model aircraft. I enjoyed this video on this aircraft build nice detailing. I like this plane.
Love all these details. Great idea for the needle for recessed gun barrels!
Mesmerizing. Your attention to detail is incredible!
I’ve been looking for a Corsair model from you for the past few days and you finally made one right when I was going to give up
Another masterpiece of kit construction and weathering David 👏
Thanks for the video, it is always a pleasure to see your work, your videos were missed
Love the color choice and weathering. Once again a beautiful build, I can only hope mine is half as good......
Amazing! First model I remember my dad making was a corsair. Got me into it.
Amazing job as usual David ! congrats and so many thanks for sharing this adventure with us.
Greetings from France !
This level of craftmanship is off the charts!
This is true my amazing. The Corsair is one of my favorite birds of all time. Gorgeous.
Wow, the painting really makes the difference!
Glad to have you back mate, morning coffee and your videos are a perfect combination!!!
Don't stay away for to long. The world isn't the same without you in these trying times. Alway's loving your videos...
This is ridiculously sophisticated. Most beautiful Corsair I've ever seen. I also learned a lot. Thanks!
Wonderful, not only the Corsair is legendary, you are too! Respect for your skills!
