Hello! I'm Ren, I'm a young easily distracted writer! My attention span is very very short so i really loved this advice! It was really helpful, I'm very glad to have stumbled on to your channel, it's extremely cozy and calm and it's probably one of the only places on the internet that you can feel at ease! Thank you for creating this space
Hi Julia - I stumbled upon your channel a few days ago and I'm so happy that I did! :) I'm autistic (diagnosed last year at 31!), a writer, a reader, and a lover of all things soft and cozy. Very glad to find myself in your lovely little corner of the internet. Hugs from Ireland x
No way! This comment makes me feel so excited to keep working on this channel and reassured that there are people like me looking for cozy content♥️ I feel like you're my Irish twin. Have a great weekend!!
Thank you for sharing!! I can’t wait until you have a co-working stream because I can honestly see myself as one of your friends, and it would be inspiring to come together and work on various projects. Keep up the great work here! I came from your ideal writers morning routine video and I’ve never hit subscribe faster!
I have adhd as well and I use a lot of these tips already, but I'm looking forward to trying some of these out. I think that they will be very helpful. ❤
@@Thecozychaotic I use the bribes and time based goal, I usually set my goals lower with the intention of doing extra. It make me feel better about it even though I knew I was likely going to reach that already.😅
@@R0wan._.666.Yes!! I've lowered my goals lately and it's a game changer. Sometimes big goals overwhelm me and keep me from making progress. I keep telling myself that writing (even for just 20 min a day) is still working on my story!
Hey!! I just discovered your channel a few days ago and have been loving your videos!! I'm a freelance writer aspiring to become a book editor and write fiction in my spare time so I feel like we have so much in common. :)
Hi!!! That's so cool. I haven't met someone else before who writes professionally but is working on getting into fiction. I've definitely found writing a novel to be VERY different from writing corporate pieces or blog posts, so would love any tips if you have any♥️
@@Thecozychaotic Yes it's sooo wildly different!! I've found it pretty hard to prioritize the fiction writing since work comes first and I'm often tired by the time I have free time to work on fiction😅 But it helps to change environment and make fiction writing sessions extra special. So I go to a coffee shop or something and make it feel different than work writing. Alsooo for actually writing fiction, it has helped me a ton to not let myself edit as I go. It's super hard but my #1 tip is to let go of self-editing and trying to make it perfect and just write write write because even though it won't be perfect (or even good) at first, you just need the words down! Then everything else builds off of that. ☺
It’s poetry for meee and journaling 🤍 but I’ve been getting more into songwriting, and short stories. Long term for me would be working on my poetry book or writing a short story (even though it’s a short story) lol it would take me more time or would be like a collection of short stories.
@@Thecozychaotic soo much really lol, I usually just write about what I’m thinking or feeling, my experiences and things like that but I also use things like oracle cards.
I have adhd and your right. The writing advice on here doesn’t work or stick for me. I handwriting but my handwriting is terrible i can read it. So i just write when im in the mood, i have scenes i like or it just sometimes randomly. Its hard for me to stay focus. I achaully wrote 1,309 words today. 😊

Let me know how it goes!

I love that! What types of things do you usually write about? I used to write a lot of poetry just for myself and really want to pick it back up
