Y'know, I never actually looked into the BFB's nerf until recently, and I'm surprised that they didn't make it that the amount of damage it takes to completely reduce your boost is the same as the amount needed to fill it (i.e. 100 damage). It would certainly be more reasonable at that point, it would take a direct grenade or rocket to completely delete your meter (at which point you'd be more than likely dead anyway), and it would mean that assuming you're running a pistol you could out-damage afterburn to keep your boost.
Theoretically, it's easier to deal 100 damage than it is to take 100 damage. Regardless, a more reasonable ratio should've been chosen, like 1 HP equaling 1.5% of a charge, meaning the threshold to lose your meter is 75 damage, not 20.

A buff for the baby face should be the amount of boost loss scales with the amount you have, so basically it's harder to go bellow regular scout speed unless you get hit with significant damage
I think the bfb would work nicely in the way that tc2 initially had it, in that instead of losing it upon getting shot, it decays over time, encouraging scouts to hunt down their targets to maintain boost.

Snowball weapons suck to play agaisnt in casual because people can farm bad players for free and now the good players have to deal with a 235 demoknight than can run faster than Scout.
Yeah but imagine being a fully-fed Demoknight that had to work for his four heads, only for some dude to hitscan you for all yours. At least the Air Strike (another "head-collecting" weapon) can't even expect a random crit to help them kill a Demoknight.
Love the bfb to bits. It pairs so well with the fan, speed makes it easier to mark and then the effect balances out your lower clip AND removes fall off from running away. You even get mini crit cleavers as a cherry on top!
Pretty cool thing to note about the Babyface is that it doesn't matter what does damage, it will give you boost either way. Equipping it while using the "Ranged Flava" gives you an easy way to milk boost over time with the bleed effect. Its a hilarious meme loadout, "The Light Speed Flava."

I LOVE the Baby Face Blaster. Goes along lovely with the cleaver and wrap assassin. That bleed effect adding to the extra speed is always a boon. It's also a nice thing for ending 2Fort matches when the entire team is just wanting to get their contracts done.
And now, valve updates the baby face to where when you are at your slowest. Your hitbox outruns you. Making sure that neither you nor your enemy knows where your going
Actually your camera is out ahead of your hitbox. With the train not hitting him, he'd cleared its path at at least 50-125 milliseconds ago. If you'd ever gotten headshot by a Sniper "from behind a wall you ran behind," you'd know that's how getting killed works.

One of my thoughts about the Baby Face is both having a decaying boost that lowers after you haven't dealt damage in awhile, plus also having increments of the boost meter that you lose when you take damage within a range (like 1 increment being lost when taking less than 15 damage and taking two increments when taking up to 30 damage and whatnot) so rather than a percent of the boost being lost, you lose a set amount. I feel it would make losing boost more natural. It would probably still stink but still.
I'd love the BFB more than I already do if they removed one of the restrictions, like, either the damage or double jump has to go, cuz you can't keep your boost if you're damaged, and you can't double jump to avoid damage, as if sheer speed helps you dodge most of the stuff on these tight maps

i think a good fix for Babyface would be to change its boost bar to work the same as the Health bar. You lose speed equivalent to the amount of damage you take, and you gain speed based on the amount you deal. It would, of course, cap with the speed bar, and could stack with the whip (imo)

Shifting from engineer movement speed to scout back and forth can really throw off enemy muscle memory
like the big earner, its way harder to track a faster than normal scout and a slower than normal scout

There was a huge drop in bots and for awhile it seemed like they were gone altogether but then I noticed a resurgence of doeshotter bots.
They are nowhere near being at the level of before, and don't have votekick protection so it's easy to get them gone.
