Islam means “submission to Allah(God)”. Islam is the belief that there is only One God, whose proper name is Allah, which means “ the God”. Islam is the same message given to all the prophets, from Adam, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Jesus, and finally to the Prophet Muhammad, the last messenger (peace and blessings be upon them). They all brought the same message to worship only Allah.
Become a Muslim Now
If you believe there is only One Allah(God) who should be worshipped, and no one/nothing else and you believe Muhammad, peace be upon him, was a messenger who brought the same message as all the prophets before him, then you are basically a Muslim.

The delivery of "people would DIE to marry your wife" should hit hard. This should remind us of our ideal mindset for other aspects in life also.

I love Mufti Menk’s videos but it’s not always the wife who is the victim. I break my back and go through major stress as the primary breadwinner, a caring husband, a loving father but I still get spoken to with bitterness and anger. My advice to any brother looking to get married would be don’t go off looks alone. Seek a caring, compassionate and wise wife.
A caring, compassionate wife will be most of the time forced and terrorised emotionally and mentally because of a,,right’’ to have a second wife. Before to ask for a caring, compassionate and wise wife, you need to make yourself a caring, compassionate and wise man.

I work 12 hours a day, buy my wife anything and everything she has ever wanted and more, treat her with respect and kindness, spend time with her whenever I can, perform all the duties expected of me when it comes to maintaining the house, her vehicle, do the washing, cooking and cleaning as well as raising the children, feeding them, washing them and passing the knowledge and wisdom Allah swt has blessed me with.
And yet I get told I don’t do enough, says she does everything, questions me on my efforts, ignores me when I speak to her and am spoken to in a condescending and belittling manner.

As a woman I wanna give you men some Relationship advice. If the woman is happy your relationship will be excellent. To active that make her feel secure (text her out of the blue, buy her flowers for no reason does not need to be expensive can also be hand picked), always sag good night and good morning with a kiss ! LISTIN to her and make her emotions feel heard, don’t argue with her feelings. And last never forget to take her on date to do stuff she likes cause she will always do the things you wanna do to please you and when you do everything right she’ll make you even more happy because there will not be stupid arguments.
Also if you want a house wife that’s fine but you’ll have to know to provide for everything and you should still help on the weekends because being a housewife is work and not even you work 24/7 right ?
And if you both work a job don’t expect her do do stuff you wouldn’t wanna do. Go and do all chores evenly or hire people to do it for you.

I am a stauch Catholic but I admire the teachings of Islam esp this gentleman. He's taught me that we should respect each person's religion... You don't have to believe in everything they do in terms of rituals etc . But always be open to learn from each other
Can I tell you a story that will blow your mind? When Muhammad (peace be upon him) was making dawah( which is preaching) to his followers the people in Saudi Arabia at the time were worshiping deities, and him and his followers were being persecuted by them he sent his followers to the Christian King in Assyria ( i think ethiopia at that time, dont quote me) because the Christian king didnt believe in religious persecution, the idol worshippers followed the Muslims and demanded the King hand them over as prisoners and he refused. We love our Christian and Jewish people. Anyone who says different as a Muslim is not a Muslim.

I wish i would have listened to mufti Menk lectures some 20 years back my life would have been much better. Anyway its never too late to ask forgiveness of Allah and do our best until our last breath. We should all encourage our kids to read the Quran while pondering deeply on its meaning, this should begin at an early stage.

Then please pray to Allah so that he guide her for betterment in here & hereafter if not as your wife but at least as a person. Prayer of a spouse won't be misheard by Allah SWT. And In sha Allah you will get your due return. When we pray for someone else than malaikas do the same for us.

I believe this, this means my father, who hardly ever got angry in his lifetime and was always good to my mother and good to us his children, no matter what hardship, he was always smiling, no matter how much debt he was in, he always smiled. Subhan'Allah, I wonder why they chose a guy who is always angry and judgemental for me to marry. A guy who has to keep giving money to his parents and siblings as he lives in the west, always arguing over money. Is it so bad for me to say you give more to them than you give to your wife and children. What if they have an old fashioned mindset, how do I help them?
