Remember brothers and sisters that Umm Salama was in her 80s when the Holy Prophet asked for her proposal, who was in his 50s. She was a widow and she had grown up adult children. When the Prophet sent a proposal to her, she told the Prophet that I am much older than you and I have adult children. The Holy Prophet said, I am an adult, I will take care of you and of your children and treat them like my own. So do not worry about your age, and marital status. Just keep praying to Allah, pray tahajjud and ask Allah. It's Allah who will give us a spouse. It's extremely easy for Allah. Trust him. Have tawakkul.

I was a Christian and I was taught to pray for a specific want/person or need when it comes to that. But this gives me a different outlook from a Muslim perspective. Wallahi coincidence or not but this came right into my YT feeds. Just when I'm done praying isha and crying to Allah of why this specific person and I had to go separate ways which I cannot still understand. This is very timely, and even inspiring as I feel like I'm mother Khadijah peace be upon her because I'm almost in my near 40s!! And I'm praying to Allah and I'm in dire need of a righteous spouse that will strengthen my imaan as well. Alhamdullilah I am now a newly revert Muslimah (almost 2 and a half months) Alhamdullilah for everything for a very beautiful Dua.

I didn't know Umme Salamah R was an Ummul Mu'minin and could'nt even guess even after hearing Sheikh Omar Suleiman calling her Umm Salama R from the beginning of the video. As the video progressed I was wondering she had a point. Who could be better than how her husband was. I thought She eventually got someone better after making the dua.
But I was broken with tears when the Sheikh unfolded finally that the one she got was the Prophet himself.
