So appreciate you talking about paint not being safe for masonry! Lime wash is such an easy alternative and it’s disgraceful how these developers and flippers are ruining the masonry on old homes
We have (had) two walls of exposed brick in our bedroom and it was painted over. I was so annoyed it was the only thing I hated about our house. We still talk regularly about having it professionally removed but that will be way down the line since it will be very pricy.
I love the clothes, the old style breeze blocks…. We have same taste for sure.
OK, I watched the hilarious short, and watching this longer version gives me a real appreciation for just how much work this was. Props to you and Mr. Sewrena for sticking out the learning curve. Quite a recipe!
Thank you so so much 💕 thank you for watching the full video too
The massage gun repurpose is actually kind of genius. Your blocks turned out beautifully.
Thank you 💕💕
Thank you for the belly laugh! I was thinking a breeze block was some kind of fashion accessory that would keep one's hair looking good in a wind! HAHAHA. Imagine my surprise to see you pouring concrete! I love those old blocks. Reminds me of my grandma's and great-aunts back gardens. They also had these metal yard/patio chairs that were so comfy. I never see them anymore, but seems old ones would perk right up with a painting. You likely know the kind I mean. Enjoy your garden this summe!
🤣🤣🤣
I think of those chairs a LOT in the summer. It would have been a great thing to inherit. 😂❤
If any one here hasn’t seen the “short” of making breeze blocks, get ready for a surprise! The yard turned out great, BTW
Loved that so much - it was positively yummy! 😋
Yes. High-speed funny and a bit loony in the best way
Leave you a “like”? Impossible! I’ll leave you a “love”! Your creative bravery, vision and subsequent success in what you share is just astounding!! BRAVA!!
Applause for the Big Helper appearance. 😊 He helped the best!
Just curious, does RUclips offer any kind of an award (like an Emmy, a Pulitzer, or an Oscar) for content that is especially creative, entertaining, and original?
This video (accompanied by the "short" video that you made) would definitely qualify.
Where do I get a nomination form?
These two videos should go absolutely, definitely viral!
Thank you so much I don’t think there is an offical award, and it’s probably because my channel isn’t super popular. It would be an honor to represent the diy creative community.
@SewRena • I commend you for showing what didn't work. I find watching people who persevere through failed attempts to be inspirational. Just keep trying. Analyze what worked and what didn't. Come up with solutions, and you will succeed.
Young lady! I can’t tell you just how impressed I am with the work you and Mr. SewRena have done! Wow 🤯! I remember that design in cement blocks. In fact I think my Aunt-In-Law has the same block as part of her carport. It’s definitely a blast from the past. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.🥰
Impressive! Job well done 🎉👏🏼
All the hard work and time paid off.....It looks beautiful!
Those are beautiful! They look wonderful. It must have been frustrating, but you and your husband did an amazing job!!
Thank you 💕 the first few mess ups were all in the same 3 days or so. Once we figure it out it was smooth sailing
Right in there with everyone else in complimenting how well your family worked together to make this project, how clearly you explain the mistakes, and even what a delightful twist you put on the video short.
(To answer that one little verbal doubt you raised, the word you were seeking for the garden tool is "trowel.")
Thank you so much and thank you for letting me know the name as well. I don’t think I tried to figure it out after I made the video I just went on with my life even though I used it a lot 🤣
@@SewRena would expect nothing less from you than to get on with your life rather than be held back by such a trivial little thing. 😉 Just figured you always seem to enjoy the right term for things. Hope you and yours relish the chance to be outside contemplating nature through your beautifully made breeze block.
So interesting on how to make your own. I think I will stick to buying them though, I just don't have the energy for all that. I loved yours, though. I did start to think if you could make your own patterns though, and the possibilities.
Nice to see a couple work together on home improvement
To beautify the out of doors just takes a lot of work! The blocks are beautiful!🥰
Super cute!! Your patio's calling card says come in and relax.
I am so happy to see this, breeze blocks are a huge part of my childhood memories and I didn't know you could make them yourself. I looked at the prices for molds and it wasn't bad. Breeze blocks are now on my to do list for my home.
It’s not bad at all. I feel like you could get away with just using 4 molds if you aren’t in a hurry and your project is smaller.
I absolutely love it, but, your right, it is a trial and learning process, but Sewrena you and the Mr. nailed it💖
Thanks!! We figured it out pretty quickly.
Those are awesome , I am just amazed.
Your patio is beautiful 😍 you guys did an excellent job on making the cement blocks 👏 I love your patio 🥰
What an immense amount of work!
They look so beautiful!🌟👑
Thanks for the tutorial 🧡
(And, the short was adorable and fun! 😀)
After all your work you have a beautiful block wall. Those are so pretty!
It needed up looking fantastic! Awesome job done by your entire family, your baby is a cutie.
Thank you ❤️❤️
Wut? I didn’t know you could do any of this! It looks so so good! In love with this yard now ❤
Wow I learned a new 'sonething'. Thank you for showing the process and the end result. Fabulous work and gogeous relaxation area.
That is a really nice setup you have created!❤
Thankyou so much for sharing this with us. I'm going to do it and use the lime wash....again thank you and remember to breathe....💖
Awesome like the style and nice project to do together with family thanks for sharing no disrespect to you little one so cute 💜💙😊
It appears to be a lot of work. At the end of the day, you can say you both created this beautiful work. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
All four, considering the kids pitched in, too!
Nice! I never knew there were molds for this type of brick making, now i want to make some!!! Maybe out of plaster of paris or something lighter weight n similar for indoors!😊
Great outcome for patio !!!!
Those are gorgeous! So much work!!!
The yard came out great. Even better was the incredible wallpaper. I absolutely love it. I paused the video to get a better look and noticed the sewing machines in the print. So cool. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day.
Thank you so much I had the wallpaper made for my room 🥰🥰
Wow that looks so good! Yay teamwork!!
UNBELIEVABLE!!
Very crafty indeed❤
Amazing work!! What a PROJECT.
Wow!! The patio looks great!! Those metal chairs and table are still pretty popular in my country! ❤ Thank you for sharing this project!
Thank you ❤️💕 the metal chairs are classic and I wanted something that would be timeless

Just beautiful! A lot of work, but absolutely worth it! It looks fabulous!
Love the home diy’s 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Wow! I love this! I thought you were going to crochet this pattern or something to do with sewing! Very beautiful!
A true labor of love! Absolutely lovely!
NICE IDEA , LOOKS GREAT 😇👍🏾
It's looking great!!!
That turned out beautifully. Love it!
Good tips, good results
Love your style!
I had no idea it was possible to make your own breeze blocks. Good to know!
I will always research how to make something before I buy it to compare the cost. This was way more affordable
@@SewRena sounds like an approach I need to adopt. I spent a small fortune on landscaping blocks. It never occurred to me to even investigate making my own.
Beautiful!!!!
slay queen block the house down boots

Thank you 🥰🤗 one new skill down off to learn another
Wow love it ❤
Awesome ❤❤
Wow!
this is amazing !!!
Can you tell us more about the history or popularity of these breeze blocks when you do the final garden reveal?
Sure thing! It’s typically used for ventilation in hot places so you can have cool air flowing into your home. My grandparents have some where has mine are just decorative.
Ma'am, You would love the complete English Rose Fitted Kitchen. It was made by the makers of the parts for the English Spitfire Plane, in the post war years in a variety of pastel shades and was modern and streamlined and very popular. I can just picture you standing by the attractive units in your beautiful clothes. A few years ago, a young couple bought an English 50's bungalow that had an original English Rose kitchen in immaculate condition (cream with red trim) I understand that due to popular demand one can still buy reproductions but there's a certain magic when having an original. I am so enjoying your videos.❤🇬🇧
That sounds beautiful! I adore my kitchen in more into the late 50’s atomic look.
@@SewRena Yes, and the fact that you did all the work yourself, you must be very proud. I grew up in an early 60's prefab and my Mum was so sad to leave it, 20 years later because the land had been sold for redevelopement. Nowadays, folk would love to have one as they are as rare as hens teeth. I miss the dinky fitted kitchen and pastel green bathroom suite. It was our first real home and we thought we were kings with our surround garden! ❤
Liked, shared & commented. Up the algorithm!
Thank you so so much 💕 I really appreciate it
Wow! 👍🏻
That really turned out great, but damn, for a couple bucks each at the home center I'd definitely buy them rather than spending a whole month making them!
If you can afford to buy them then go for it. I couldn’t, so I did what I had to.
@@SewRena I'm glad you could make it work!
I know your fashion are the 50's and 60's , but will you do something else like a shorts set, or something simple like a circle dress, or something challenging like may be a wedding dress from the 50's or the 60's.
My God❤
❤❤❤❤

😀
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I can’t quit you
Omg I’m like number 666😮 maybe it means I’m special lol
Oh, Serena! Adore you but your wallpaper has got to go.
I would prefer you go first 😂 this is my home not yours!
Beautiful!!!!
