The repurposed fountain/planter really did become a summer ‘Cousin It’ 😉 I love the shape of this container and would love to see airier plantings next year.
The kids had a blast being blown with the leaves, that's how it should be, having fun in little things. They do have a beautiful childhood!❤🥰😍💨🍁🍂🍂🍂🍂🍃🍃 It looks amazing all cleaned up 😍 Blessings 🙏🏻💞
I just realized with all the trees you’ve added, you’re going to have to get one of those commercial size leaf collectors soon. 😂 All of the spaces are looking like fall. It’s so peaceful.
Always a sense of satisfaction when one seasons planting is removed to get ready for the next. Only children would have fun having leaves blowing on them!!
So nice to see the freeze damaged plants cleaned up and the leaves gathered with the blower and taken away. I am the same way as I have to write things down - making a mental note gets lost in the shuffle of day to day activities!
Next time put those leaves in your chicken run. The girls will have a blast digging through them and they will turn them into beautiful compost for you to use come spring.
Hey Laura and all, I’ve been overwintering “baby wing” white begonias under lights, on my wire shelf rack, indoors for 5 winters now. I cut them down to a couple of inches (there’s always a bunch of new foliage forming at the base), dig them out, trim the roots and put them back into 4” pots. I wonder if the surefire begonias would do the same? Any thoughts on a segment highlighting overwintering a selection of annuals?(most are really tender perennials) I display a few of the begonias for the holidays, the white blooms and fresh foliage really looks perfect for Christmas! The hard work and creative energy that Laura, Aaron, Paul, Bethany, all the behind the scenes folks put into the videos is truly is sparking a bit of joy in so many souls each day! Thank you so much for making us feel at home in your garden!
I overwintered one Surefire rose begonia last year. It was straggly and weak (only got light from a window) through the winter, but once it got back outside in the spring it took off and grew into a spectacular showpiece. I'll be bringing it in again this year for sure!
Do you ever blow all those leaves into a big pile and let the kiddos do a run and jump into it? It was one of our favorite thing to do in the Fall growing up. 🍁🍂🍁🍂
Looking out my window while sipping hot coffee and the grass is white with frost. I’m also looking at a hanging basket that is so beautiful I can’t bring myself to clean it out yet. ❤️🇨🇦
It was so satisfying to watch you clean up the garden. It gives me motivation to clean my own. I shall miss the fountain display but look forward to next spring’s creation.
I’m a definitely on the Fall cleanup team! I used to wait until spring until I saw Laura clean up in Fall. I love being able to decorate for Fall & Christmas and not have dead plants in my garden. Also, it renews me in the Spring to start with a clean slate. ❤
Just love clean up videos l been doing clean up in my garden today .and. Like you Laura just looks so much better and just to lovely to see Benjamin and Samantha having fun in the leaves
Absolutely Looks Fantastic!! Getting excited about your Christmas lights being put Up!! Benjamin and Samantha are a Joy to watch enjoying being outside with their Mom and Dad!!
The family that plants together, work and plays together with lots of fun 🍂🍂🍁🍁🍁 exciting to see the kids having so much fun with the leaves 🍃 brings back my childhood memories. Like you Laura, I have to make lists ✔✅ enjoy the 🎃 pumpkin carving.
Watching you clean out all of your garden beds has allowed me to make a list of my own “clean out tasks” in my garden. My compost bins need some attention as do all of the cleaned out planters, planting the succulent garden (zone 10a), transplanting the geraniums into new planters and then I can rest with a pumpkin spice latte.
So satisfying!! ❤ Have you guys given any more thought to composting? All those leaves and fresh branches would make perfect material! If you already compost would love a look at it!
Looking so good to clear out annuals, but the color you still have with some of them it is great seeing the pretty color. Wonderful seeing your beautiful garden again, have a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye! 🥰😍🙏🙏👍🌸💮🌺🍁🍂💜💜💜💜💜
Gonna be 91 degrees in Austin today. So so ready for some cooler weather and rain it’s been a very long time since we had rain. Very satisfying to see the clean up Laura.
The leaves protect your plants from the cold and will mostly disintegrate and feed the soil by spring. Anything left in spring can be easily cleaned up then.
Good Morning! 🎃 I am going to start my clean-up! It always satisfying to get everything cleaned up & ready for winter! The kids are having fun in the leaves! 🍂🥀🍁🧹
This is what I did yesterday. Cleaning out annuals from my beds. I like to clean mine in the fall so they look neater going into winter. Then come spring they are ready to go. I have learned many lessons and habits from you over the years Laura. Thank you!
It was good to see you blowing the leaves. We have so many leaves! My husband has talked about changing our broken up driveway to gravel, but it is under a massive oak (talk about leaves!) , and I wasn't sure how we would rake up the leaves. He mixes the leaves with the grass clippings and other clippings, and we get some good compost for the garden.
When you pull those plants and you realise how much growth a single one has produced in a season, it’s a miracle! Is there an annual that will continue through the colder weather that you never pull in autumn/fall?
We just had a couple of record-setting days of warm temps here in MN. However, the forecast shows a cool down and our first trace of snow on Halloween. I still have a few things to get in the ground. Your property is looking amazing. I love that giant fountain planter so much!♡
So satisfying to get things tided up!!! This video gave me the feeling I always get every spring and fall, the old and the new. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
I love seeing Samantha playing in her Mary Jane shoes-I remember wearing them to church every Sunday. Do the annuals in the ground get fertilized every week also? 😊
That planter in the circle of the brick patio was my favorite thing of all your plantings this year. I loved how it looked and always watched for it when you were filming in that area. 🙏👏
Oh wow, that planter does look awesome now. I never cared for how huge everything got and just took over. Wasn't very pretty imo, but it looks awesome now. 😊❤
I live in Pittsburgh and I am still getting blooms on my miniature roses and I think they have been enjoying the ups and downs of the weather here. It is always sad to see the plants looking beautiful booms and then a hard freeze comes and then time to say good-bye until spring. I love seeing children playing through the leaves.
Hi Joan. I'm in Irwin, just southeast of Pgh. Do you know of a great nursery in the area? Particularly one that carries a good variety of Proven Winners annuals? Nothing much out my way and I'd be willing to travel a bit for a better selection.
@@ritasicari7518 No not really, I have purchased all my flowers at Home Depot and Lowes. I have my Gerber Daisy from Lowes and it is just now dying off and my herbs from Home Depot and they are as beautiful as can be. My miniature roses from my Giant Eagle and they are so beautiful for the end of October. When I went to Seattle back in 97 I saw roses in full bloom like mine right now. This the first that they look so beautiful and loaded up with buds and flowers. I also bought at Phelps nursery in Robinson Township and had very good luck with the plants. I am not sure if they carry Proven Winners though.
Benjamin playing in the blown leaves is exactly what I needed to see to start my day feeling happy and grateful. What a joyful young man you have!
Kids, leaves and pumpkin carving, that’s the definition of fall.
So nice to 'see' the fountain/planter again! Yay!
I love watching the clean-up as much as I love watching the planting. ❤ Both are super satisfying 🌸🌼🍃🍂🍁
Satisfying work accomplished. So fun to see the kids helping pick up the leaves, Samantha with her giant rake, ha.
Love to see children running!!!😀
The repurposed fountain/planter really did become a summer ‘Cousin It’ 😉 I love the shape of this container and would love to see airier plantings next year.

Maybe Aaron will start his compost bin!
Loved watching the kids in the blowing leaves. We used to do that with our son, and now at 34 he is a crew Chief at a landscaping company
That was so satisfying to watch! Can’t wait to see the boxwoods being planted where the lindens are! ❤
Me too
Kids can make a game and fun out of anything I miss that carefree life they brought joy to me this morning.❤
The Maximilian Sunflowers would look gorgeous in the "Dirt Lands"! You could probably divide it in to 10+ plants..
Always a sense of satisfaction when one seasons planting is removed to get ready for the next. Only children would have fun having leaves blowing on them!!
Oh my goodness...the areas you cleaned up looks AMAZING! Lol, instant gratification! 🫶
I hope you are making compost and/or leaf mold with those leaves and garden waste. It is such a great FREE resource that can't be matched.
Some of my FAVORITE videos ... the clean up video!!
I love the look of the formal evergreen foundation plantings for winter after the annuals are cleared and perennials cut back. Great simplicity!
Good job Laura...love to see you kids enjoying while mommy and daddy working❤❤❤
So nice to see the freeze damaged plants cleaned up and the leaves gathered with the blower and taken away. I am the same way as I have to write things down - making a mental note gets lost in the shuffle of day to day activities!
So nice when plants leave the planters revealed!
Next time put those leaves in your chicken run. The girls will have a blast digging through them and they will turn them into beautiful compost for you to use come spring.

I've never tried with the surefires, but, in my experience, most begonias overwinter beautifully.

So satisfying, sitting here drinking my coffee and watching you clean your flowerbeds 😂
Y’all have a blessed day !!
Texas 🇨🇱
Btw, that's the Chile flag not the Texas flag. In the Texas flag, the blue goes all the way down.
Good morning from Delaware Garden Answer friends.
Do you ever blow all those leaves into a big pile and let the kiddos do a run and jump into it? It was one of our favorite thing to do in the Fall growing up. 🍁🍂🍁🍂

I loved the drone shots of the newly planted trees. Wow only 13 comments!
It was so satisfying to watch you clean up the garden. It gives me motivation to clean my own. I shall miss the fountain display but look forward to next spring’s creation.
Kids laughing and playing in the leaves a wonderful way to start my day ❤️

12:38 what a spectacular view!! 😍🍂🍁
Love the view of the Hartley through the canopy of trees at 12:55 !
Best vidoe, love the cleaned out places, looks so satisfying !!! Love seeing the kids out playing.
Good morning, sissy and family! Have a blessed day!🫶🩷💕🧡💛🤎❤️🍂🍁🥰🤗
We’ve been cleaning out our beds too, and it is a wonderful feeling.
Hi Laura and Aaron
So beautiful watching you chase the children with the leaf blower😍💯👏
A blessed evening to all!
I always enjoyed fall clean up...very relaxing and everything clean and ready for next spring planting
Just love clean up videos l been doing clean up in my garden today .and. Like you Laura just looks so much better and just to lovely to see Benjamin and Samantha having fun in the leaves

That container was so impressive. The plants did so great there.
Good morning! Love Fall cleanup. Always makes garden beds look so clean & neat.

Thanks for showing your process!
We've had three mornings of 25 to 27 °! Still so much holding strong😊
A garden is like a child, it needs constant attention!
The clean up areas look wonderful. Yes, the freeze has hit us here too.
Thanks Laura! 👩🏻
🌱✂️
Looking so good to clear out annuals, but the color you still have with some of them it is great seeing the pretty color. Wonderful seeing your beautiful garden again, have a beautiful and blessed day, sending love and hugs, bye! 🥰😍🙏🙏👍🌸💮🌺🍁🍂💜💜💜💜💜
I love it when everyone “helps”
Good choice on the music Tyler.
It looks so clean and need and beautiful very good job you always do👍👍👍
This season was my favourite for the Persephone garden. The all Surefire White begonias in that space looked classic.
Gonna be 91 degrees in Austin today. So so ready for some cooler weather and rain it’s been a very long time since we had rain. Very satisfying to see the clean up Laura.
Yes! A yew-nified look!
Laura great job everything looks absolutely amazing ❤
I agree that some cleanup in fall is more satisfying and easier to remove leaf drop out of the flowerbeds in fall also.
The leaves protect your plants from the cold and will mostly disintegrate and feed the soil by spring. Anything left in spring can be easily cleaned up then.
Love flowerbed cleanup videos!

Absolutely love these clean up videos. Helps me to see when to pull summer annuals.
Fill that giant fountain with evergreen boughs! That would be awesome for the holidays and winter
I thought the same thing ❤
When you pull those plants and you realise how much growth a single one has produced in a season, it’s a miracle!
Is there an annual that will continue through the colder weather that you never pull in autumn/fall?
Sad and good all at the same time 🎉❤😊
I like to clean in the fall...less things for the leaves from 7 mature maple trees to catch on. I also love the smoothness of the snow in the winter.
I saw the kids having fun in the piles of leaves on Instagram. ❤️🎃🍁💚🙃
So satisfying to see beds tidied all up! Would love to see the kids Halloween outfits this year!!!🎃🎃🎃
Short but satisfying, and I know it was short for me but a lot of work for you guys, loved seeing the kid a play in the leaves...
Family effort, love it❤ The persephone area would be amazing with boxwoods. Stunning property 🚜🌲🌳🐝🍁
Good morning ☕️ 😊
Benjamin, playing in the blowing leaves looks like more fun than jumping in them...ya stay dry anyway!😊
Looking much better!

Everything looks so nice and clean and nice where you cleaned those3 beds out. Great video

Nice cleanup!

Garden Answer Editor, don't work so hard editing the videos down. I could watch Laura and family all day!!!
Awesome clean up 👍
Looks great, nice & neat.
Winter evergreens would look so beautiful in the fountain base. Please!!!😁
Good morning!🌻🐝

Me too! I'm amazed by it.
Im with Laura, somethings I clear autumn, some spring. Mostly depends if Im looking at it a lot and it gets on my nerves. 😃
I like seeing Aaron doing grunt work. I think of him more as the detail planner and heavy equipment operator.
Oh wow, that planter does look awesome now. I never cared for how huge everything got and just took over. Wasn't very pretty imo, but it looks awesome now. 😊❤
The Maximillian sunflower should move to the dirtlands
Great work Laura ❤

Just wondering how long did it take to clean all 3 areas, compared to the sped-up video?
There's something to be said for "Neatness!',,,,,,,Very nice :)
Thanks for sharing.
