This dress would look gorgeous with a Christmas plaid inside, and black velvet outside.
Oooh, that sounds magical, with a poofy crinoline underneath?
That does sound beautiful, I felt like the choice of fabrics paired with the way the bias was done with a solid color is part of what made that look overall more like an apron, while is she had done it in the colors and fabric of the one she is wearing (super gorgeous) with the same fabric for bias, would look far more dresslike.
That's what I was thinking but Christmas pattern with red velvet for me.
That sounds beautiful
Absolutely with a red crinoline barely peeking from underneath.
I am old enough to remember this dress, and I can second your thought that this was a dress to be worn around the house! In fact, it fell into a category that no longer exists: the housedress! The housedress was for working around the house, where so much of a woman’s life and work took place, but not intended for public outings. In my memory’s eye, I see women wearing curlers and pincurls while wearing it around the immediate neighborhood, surrounded by other women and children. A pattern that was quick, easy, required no repeated fittings, and slipped off in an instant so a woman could change clothes to leave the neighborhood or greet her returning husband was so useful! It seems like centuries since women in North America lived this way, but it was within living memory.
You look like a classy woman of that era. Your hair and lipstick, also add to the era. The dresses are just beautiful. Wonderful job-!!!🤩
Thank you 💕💕
The walk away dress is gorgeous . I was born in the late 1950s and I remember these dresses. Personally I find them adorable.
I think if it had been made in solid colors or maybe a small print on the inside and solid on the outside it wouldn’t look so much like an apron. Your kitchen, PJs, other walk away dress, and style are absolutely spot on perfect! That aqua sewing machine is really stunning! What a treasure. Glad I found your channel.
I was just going to say this exact same thing.
Me too! These two prints are cute, but I wouldn't have put them together in one dress like this. I think even a solid colour on the inside and the plaid on the outside would have worked.
The fabric choice was lacking.
I bet if there was a petticoat under this it would look better as well.
I think the bias tape is making it look more like an apron too. It is cute though!
Hi, I remember my mother wearing this exact dress! Back then they had house dresses which they cleaned in took care of their families in and wore if they had to run to the shops. If you turned the binding to where you couldn’t see it , the dress would look casual but more dressy. Material makes a big difference also from casual to dressy.🥰
Me too! Had orange and green colors in the fabric pattern
Or wear a sweater- it looks so cute on her- it’s ashamed it will not be worn😄
I love the dress pattern. I think the fabric is what made it look and feel like a apron.
I think my grandmother had the same sewing machine. She used to sew all my mother's and aunt's dresses in the 1930's, 40's, 50's, and into the 60's. She stopped as she grew too old to do other than darn because her arthritis pained her. She would love to see people like yourself keeping the patterns and projects alive.
Actually, love the walkaway dress. I think the fabric you selected reminds me of an apron from the mid-to-late 50s.
Your sewing skill and clothing style continues to leave me awestruck.
I also did not like the fabric choices. I would have loved to see the dress done in black and white. I enjoyed the video!
@@Gitn2it : I would love for her to make another walkaway dress, but with a much better
fabric choice.
It would make an excellent dress for Christmas morning if you are hosting visiting family, fully dressed but in a deliberate vintage style perfect for serving breakfast and opening presents. Wear it thru lunch, then dress down into stretch pants for watching a football game and going back for thirds.
I think it's also the bias tape.
I agree. The walk-a-way dress should be two solid colors or a print and a solid, but not two prints. She even compares it to the dress she's wearing... a solid with a print. Additionally, the walk-a-way pattern needs to be patterned on both sides of its material. She chose a one-sided print. Any wrap-around is going to look apron-like with those choices. That said, I personally still love what she did, even with its more casual look.
The dress you're wearing is stunning! I think this Walk Away dress challenge looks so much like an apron because of the material so many people are choosing (like quilting cotton) and the bias tape edges. I'm getting ready to make mine but chose a flowing fabric, and will eliminate the bias where I can. (I definitely want a dress I can wear often). One last thought, always such a fan of your accounts!
I agree. The fabric, the print, and the bias tape gives it more of a homespun apron-y feel. I think a black/white combo, maybe in a silk shantung or raw silk would really elevate it.
I agree. I would be interested to see a version of the dress that's made with more formal fabric and coordinating bias tape made with the same fabric.
All the bias can be eliminated and replaced with a facing. But i think if people also bought nice bias that's not rough cotton, But lace, silk, the beautiful foldable elastics made their own matching bias it would look stunning. It's really amazing how much fabric choice changes the look of a garment.
Check out The Van Maren Family channel, she did a plain dark blue using the 4790 pattern (reproduction of the original). I think her dress looks amazing and formal enough. She also didn't do the full circle skirt but it still looks lovely.
Eh I think those flour sack style patterns are probably appropriate for the era. My guest is a lot of poorer women with fewer skills and time and resources made this dress along with the middle class. I think it’s pretty but I don’t regularly dress in vintage style.
I made this dress in a dark blue with big flower knit print. I modernized it a bit by shortening the front (i actually had to in order to get the pieces cut due to fabric limitations) and I LOVE This dress. I think the colors you chose might have been a reason for why you felt it looked apron like. I made mine in one print the whole dress with a solid color for the binding. I honestly get so many compliments when i wear mine and "where did you buy it" a lot.
I love the idea of shortening the front. I’m going to try that when I make it.
What the pattern your wearing
It would be great if you starting s sewing and crafts channel! 🎉
I am thinking the same. I would of chose one pattern and paired it with a solid.
The fabric choice made your dress look like an apron. You did an excellent job.
I love that you went for the full vintage experience with the sewing machine ❤
I came across this video, and I have to tell you the first thing I thought was "oh my gosh...it's 1965 again!!" My mom wore her hair like that when she was at home; rolled up in little prickly curlers, and wrapped in a floral scarf...
Thanks for the walk down memory lane...my mom just passed in April so this was pure nostalgia ❤️
And of course, I subscribed...😊
You’re the first person I’ve seen make the dress look good! I’ll give it a try when the 2$ butterick sale comes around again. I was fully focused of your hair for most of the video, so adorable!
I just want to remind you that she didn't use the Butterick reproduction pattern, she used a traced version of the original (which I doubt they sell on Butterick's website). If you prefer her version of the dress to other youtubers', you'll want to try to find the traced original pattern, not use the reproduction even if it's a good price. :D I agree that her version is the best I've seen, it just fits her better.
Edited to add that I just saw a video by Stephanie Canada where she compared the OG vintage pattern and the reproduction, and they were very different!
Hi there, I have been watching the different submissions for the walk away dress.
Although you personally do not like how your dress turned out, I would have to say , from
where I am viewing, it looks beautiful on you. It was only when you showed the apron side by each with the
Walk away dress that I could understand your point of view. Regardless, change the material, change the
Or eliminate the bias binding, and the dress would have a different vibe,.
Quite honestly just about anything you whipped up would look great on you imo!
Loved that you showed us your turquoise sewing machine.. it is a real treasure for sure!
This challenge was such a success imo in bringing together sewists from all walks of life, really enjoyed
‘meeting’ you! 😊❤😊
I completely agree that this pattern has an apron feel. I rushed to watch your video because I thought if anyone could make it look like a real dress it would be you. But there is something about the way the top of the bodice fits....neckline...arm opening or something. Bless you and thanks for the video.
We'll done. It's beautifully done. I never fancied this pattern though. Too aprons as you say. Still well done. We had it made on our uk tv programme Great British Sewing Bee. Still looked like an apron.
I bought both of these patterns a while back & made one of them. I felt they'd be great reversible dresses so that's how I intended to make them. I haven't made the Butterick dress yet, but the other one didn't turn out looking the way I hoped.
Gorgeous fabric choices! 👏👍👍❤️
I made one and im thinking about playing around with some extra darts to see if that helps with the fit
Actually I’ve been watching all the Versions of people making this and although I’m not fond of the fabric I think yours looks the best it’s the most flattering and I think you made it quicker than anyone else. I think you’re a marvelous seamstress. I am very impressed by your work and it’s really fun watching you make things
Thank you so much! Some speedy sewist made it in under 2hr. They must sew really fast by hand. The hem was the longest part for me
❤
Same
Yes hers is the best ! ❤
I love it!! I love how they had a dress for everything back then.
I think it's the bias tape that makes it look apron-y. The one you are wearing when you are putting the projects on the forms is LOVELY. Loved the tour of the machine and your kitchen is adorable!
I think the walkaway dress is darling, and I think the red dress you're wearing is stunning!
That walkway dress reminds me of what my mom would call a house coat or house dress. It is cute.
I never ever thought I'd be watching a dressmaking video, but I found this really interesting. Also that old machine is a real gem, and I liked how you described freeing up the action.
Awe, my Grandma would love your channel so much. I miss her so much. She died a year ago tomorrow. Thank you
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️❤️❤️
I just love everything about this video. Your cabinets, counter canisters, your machine, etc. I think the dress turned out cute for what it is, and I enjoyed your breakdown on what it took to get it done. It does very much look like a cobbler apron in the end BUT a cute one! Yours would make me want to wear it while Christmas baking all day.
Wonderful video!
Thank you so much 💕❤️
I've watched alot of these dress challenge videos. I think your dress is the prettiest and best fitting of them all! And your camper coffee cup. So cute
Awww thank you so so much 💕💕 I totally love my fabric I’m thinking I’ll make a Christmas quilt with the dress
Found your channel quite by accident. You are amazing! My mother used to make these patterns for herself & me when I was a child in the 60’s OMG what a memory you brought back!🧡
It was fun to listen to your description of the sewing machine while we watched you sew. Also, your figure is so darned cute, that honestly, you make the dress look 100% more fashionable than an apron. Thanks for posting the video. It was really fun to watch!
Using the red plaid and floral makes the Walkaway Dress really cute. I would use it for a house dress or maybe go to the store or take the kids to the park. It is kind of apron looking but cute.
The dress you’re wearing looks wonderful on you. I don’t know how you landed in my suggested videos but am so glad you did. I love your serene and gentle vibe and your hands are so lovely to watch at the machine:). Thank you! P.s. you’re very pretty!
Awww thank you so much I’m very happy you are here. Welcome 💕
Yes, I agree with you on everything. I definitely love the dress she's wearing better. I have my mother's old sewing machine and I used to use it for small things. I would love to be better at making things as she does.
That machine is amazing! Actually, I love your whole vintage vibe.
Why did I never think of painting my cabinets MULTIPLE COLORS?! That’s genius, you could do it with any colors scheme!
In my prior kitchen, I did my cabinets in plum, pumpkin, & deep sage. My daughter said she felt like she was dining in a Panera, but I loved it.
You did a GORGEOUS job on your Walk-away dress!! And that sewing machine is --mmmm-wha!! - chef’s kiss fantastic!!! I’ve been hunting the local markets for an inexpensive temp replacement for my Pfaff that’s in repair right now. OMGolly - I’ve been bitten by the 1950’s-1970’s vintage machine bug! They are so cool! I learned to sew on a beautiful 1940’s Art Deco style Necchi in a massive mahogany cabinet and while I don’t have space for something that grand - I’d love to find a gem somewhere to repair and give some new life to. Wish me luck - and joyous sewing to you….and bless those little kiddies - they grow up far too quickly!.,💕
I think it would make a nice XMAS morning breakfast outfit! You are so cute in everything you make! :)
Wow! Apron feel or not, I think you looked absolutely incredible in that dress! It’s so cute and I love your fabric choices! It truly has a very vintage look and feel to it, which I love! ❤️
I'm so jealous of anyone who can sew. The dress is very vintage. I think it looks beautiful. Great job.
We made that cobbler apron in sixth grade sewing class. 1967. Sewed complete,y by hand.
The dress came out really pretty! Looking at it, I wonder if the bias tape you used played a role in the apron feel. What if you made bias tape out of the main fabrics instead of red? Would that perhaps make you feel better about how it turned out? Either way, you did a great job putting it together. The vibe you created with this video is on point, too. I love that you used your retro machine. I hope you decide to use it more. It really is stunning!
I think the same
I agree that both the dress you made and the one you're wearing are beautiful! Fabric choice makes such a difference in the final effect, doesn't it? The printed cottons create a casual & fun apron feel. Black & white in a linen would be stunning and stylish!
Love your vintage machine! The colours are gorgeous.
My first impression when I saw this on Stephanie's video was that it was an apron. As popular as this pattern was when Butterick first offered it, my mother, supreme seamstress who could sew anything, didn't have this pattern in her collection accrued over decades of sewing. I'm guessing she saw it as an apron and she had apron patterns she really liked, and this pattern takes a lot of fabric which her frugal housewife mentality considered unnecessary. You did a fantastic job on your dress, love the colors and your expertise.
Hahah your mom had the right idea I just had to try it to see if I would have been that housewife in line for my copy😂
The thing that I liked about that extra fabric is, it's got plenty of room to flex through body changes... But still, I couldn't see myself using so much extra fabric either, lol.
I do wonder about using a jersey knit for the drape, and going with an intentionally unfinished edge, or maybe just a single zigzag, and a casual, overlapped seam style for the speed it'll work up.
I've got some really cheap jersey sheets that I've been planning to do something housedress-like for home wear.
If i was still teaching, i would totally wear the dress you made to work. I think its adorable!
Your dress enhances your obvious natural beauty! That color red is terrific on you!
I do love the walkaway dress concept, but after watching several different seamstresses do their version and with not so much love at the end for their product, I'm reluctant now to make one myself. However I think every single dress was beautiful, and it's difficult for me to see the flaws or whatever it is that so many have seen. It's true that the Christmas prints give the dress an apron vibe, but it would still be a cute dress to wear at Christmas for brunch or whatever.
imo if the part of the dress that wraps around the front were lined, and if ppl had a crinoline skirt to wear beneath, those two changes 🤷🏻♀️might🤷🏻♀️ elevate the dress enough to look "not apron." Although capped sleeves would sure help, too! lol.
I would like to see this made in a flowing material, maybe something mixed with chiffon which I think would make it look a whole lot different. Oh, and if the piece that come around the front were lined that would be better
Love your house!!
Your walkaway dress looks better on you than anyone else’s that I’ve seen. I really liked your choice of fabrics.
Loved your kitchen and the wallpaper on your walls very vintage, it is beautiful.
The dress you are actually wearing at the end is lovely.
What a joy!! I grew up in the 60's with my mom making amazing dresses... Your dress was beautiful! I feel two solid colors would make it appear less Christmas apron-esque. However, you rocked it!
I loved your presentation! The opening pulled me in right away- that machine! The kitchen! Your jammies 😊. New subscriber here.
I am a very novice sewer, but I have been loving walkaway dress videos, which is how I found your channel. I love your pajamas and your precious kitchen!
Thank you ❤ welcome
Of all the walk away dresses, yours is the best and you look the best in it!
I think the fabric patterns are what make it look like an apron.
This looks lovely! Great job. As a mom who is learning to sew I appreciate seeing someone who includes those details.
I like that dress and the way it looked on you! You may want to keep as a housedress to wear around the holidays? It's very cute and because you're so slender and everything looks great on you, I think the dress looked really nice on you. Love your kitchen and all the retro touches. THAT SEWING MACHINE IS A THING OF BEAUTY! I reminds me of a turquoise and white 1955 T-Bird, an absolutely stunning vintage car, my dream vintage car for many years! You had to be so thrilled to find that machine!
Thanks I have been learning how to make quilt blocks so I think it will be better off in a quilt since I do love the fabrics I went with. My mom actually saw the machine at a thrift store and bought it for me so it really cool to be able to use now. Thanks for watching. 💕💕
LOL. My first car (c 1964) was a red 1955 Thunderbird with a white removable hard top. I was 18.
When my daughter (born when I was 21) made a derogatory comment about her first car when she was 18 I countered with “For YOU I had to give up my T-bird because your playpen didn’t fit!”
You're adorable. I am 72 and remember the era you evoke so well -- I know not everything was good from back then, but how I wish I could go back and just visit for a little while. Your channel allows me a glimpse of those times. I love vintage fashion; my mother, like you, was an expert tailor/seamstress. I still have some of her dresses from the late 50s and 60s. I once was slim enough to wear them; now I just look at them. She, like you, sewed beautifully. Thanks so much for sharing your world. You make people happy.
But the dress looks FANTASTIC on you! The cut is absolutely perfect for you! I'd love to see the dress with the front inset in a complex pattern and the contrasting panels in a solid color, or the whole thing in two solid colors - I think that might improve your feelings about the dress.
That dress looks so cute on you. I've never heard of it before.
Oh my gosh, your hair, your dresses, your KITCHEN! I love all of it lol! I just found you and I'm so grateful for it. My husband is gonna have to entertain the kiddos while I binge watch the rest of your videos 😊
Omg WELCOME!!! Thank you so much 💕💕
I think the fabric selection makes it feel "apron like." It is precious and so are you.
Oh I LOVE your whole vintage look AND that blue/yellow sewing machine omgosh!!!
That is a beautiful sewing machine! I think your dress turned out really pretty and I was sure if anyone could get it done by lunch it was you! I love the walk away dress but I do think of it as a casual dress kinda like 50s leggings and a t-shirt 😅
Thank you 💕💕
Haha, maybe the only way one can do it in that amount of time while watching their kids, is to cordone them off in one room with no-spill cups of water and unlimited snacks.🤣🤣🤣 That’s how my setup looks in my mind’s eye.😅
I'm with you. I love the 6211 dress a little bit more. But the walkaway dress is still very interesting to me. Everyone involved in this challenge has made beautiful dresses. Now I'm regretting not joining in on the fun.
This is stunning. Please wear it! You are beautiful. This is a week-end picnic and walk-in-the-park dress. I think your husband would honored as you walk arm in arm with such a lovely dress.
Omg this women’s dress, sewing machine, house!!! She is amazing 🤩
I love your walk away dress, it's perfect for the holidays.
I just found your channel thanks to this dress and I subscribed right away. Your kitchen is SOOOOOOO cute. Actually, it looks like your entire house is with its vintage look. I'm glad you were recommended because you are very talented. I just started my sewing habit and I'm totally hooked (even though everything I make is a little rough).
Same here! I love her!!!
One tiny hint from a long time sewer. It was a lesson I learned way back in the 60s! Always press your seams as you sew. My projects always looked “rough” when I started too. The steam iron is as important as your sewing machine! It makes the difference between your creations looking “Homemade” or not. It only takes a bit of time as you sew, but the results are amazing. Good Luck!!
@@cherylhuot4436 thank you for that tip! I will follow it. 🥰
I think this dress looks beautiful on you. I really admire your talent. The last dress you are wearing is darling. Not many people sew anymore.
Love the video. True story: my mother made a sack dress (in the 50's). A year later she went through a divorce, and soon after mom's teenage daughter, in a snit, moved out to her dad's and took a bunch of clothes, including that sack dress. Mom had started working in an office of a local factory. Mom's ex remarried and that woman also worked at the same factory. She showed up in mom's sack dress! Boy, the chattering that went on that day in the office!
I'm in love with your esthetic!! You are adorable..ok I'm not crazy about the walk away dress pattern (and i have it) but I love everyone's take on it. The red dress you are wearing is stunning! I'm new to your channel, and sewing. Thank you for making this video👏
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel 💕
@@gaylebynumcardosa7034 yes, thank you! I'm a big fan of hers🫶
I think the secret to this dress is fabric choice. I agree that most of them look like aprons, but I can see that maybe certain fabrics might be more or less dress like, and adding a petticoat would help with the lines of the dress. I haven't made one yet but I do want to, and I plan to alter the shoulders to be narrower which might help. But I do think it looks lovely on you.
The dress you sewed would be perfect for around the house. The one you are wearing at the end is beautiful. And I love that machine.
You are correct about how nice the old machines are. I loved your walkaway dress, the Red one. I agree, the first one looks like an apron, but would really be fancy with the right fabric. Enjoyed your video.
That walk away dress looks stunning on you!
Omg I love that machine!!! I keep seeing this pattern on my timeline. I’m glad you did it! I actually like your the most. I agree that the bias tape makes it look like an apron. I do like the reproduction you are wearing.
You're right. That really is more like a full cover apron, but it is cute! The dress you wear the end is adorable! It is stunning.
I think the dress is flattering. I love this vintage house dress.
That machine is absolutely beautiful! And you've done a wonderful job on the dress. I love the contrasting fabric. It's adorable.
I think the prints and bias tape choices are really important with this dress. Also, these vintage pattern styles look best on hourglass figures. In absence of curves, you need to move the waist up or reslope the pattern.
Foundation garments gave women a much smaller waist than most women could possibly have naturally. Looking at 1930s bridal ads once, and comparing them to modern ads, I saw the difference immediately. Their waists were tiny! Not by nature. I told my husband that they were trussed up like Christmas turkeys.
The concept is fine. The fabric choices of the day lends to it's uniform look.
Yes, your rendition does look like an apron, but that is because of the fabrics you chose. It's adorable and you wear it beautifully.
I think you sewed a beautiful example of the walk-a-way dress for the holidays, but I LOVE the dress you are wearing! I enjoyed your intro and presentation, great job!☕🫖
Thank you so much I really appreciate it 💕
I was so happy to see you make the Walkaway dress too! Honestly it looks lovely on you. (Though I’m not sure about mine either!) I am totally in love with your vintage sewing machine and watched all that footage practically drooling with longing. I foresee lost hours on eBay looking for a similar one! 😂💗
Yes, the machine is a treasure!
Thank you so so much 💕
If you find the same one please tag me because I can’t find anything on this machine no manual no year no clones. It’s a mystery.
Oh I will! I’ll get my mum onto it too. She’s like a sewing machine detective!
It's awesome seeing someone that sews.. I watched my aunt sewing in my younger days, I wished I had taken the time to learn how..She sewed as a home professional to maintain her home and children..
Im learning alot just watching youe viseos youe a fantastic patient teacher. I could watch your videos all day. I really enjoy. Who needs Tv are Cable? With talent like this.
I love the dress you wear at the end. I love your beautiful sewing machine.
I wonder if your fabric choice contributed to the apron aesthetic? It seems like the plaid and print are fighting each other.
I love that dress ! It looked great on you.
I loved your video. The sewing machine was a classic and I also love your kitchen cabinests. I can tell you have a great deal of artistic talent!
The fit looked great and flattering on you. The fabrics you selected are one reason why it looks like an apron. Solid colors in silk crepe de chine and sewing a horsehair braid to the hem to accentuate the flare (like in the illustration) would look gorgeous on you 😊
I am so excited this landed in my recommendations! Your skill and decor is amazing! ❤
I’m new to your channel--totally enchanted by your work! The dress you made in this vid looks very nice on you, IMO. But the dress you’re wearing at the end is 🔥🔥🔥. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you ❤ welcome
When you compared the apron to your dress, I better understood your point because if the similar necklines. You did a marvelous job. The dress you wore was incredible and you look fabulous in it! And I could not help noticing your wall treatment; the mushrooms caught my eye- so precious.
I would totally wear this as a kitchen apron. It covers all your clothes. Especially good for when you're prepping in the kitchen wearing other good fancy clothes.
I just found your channel and I subscribed immediately! Love this. I grew up sewing all my own clothes. I am really happy to see that people actually still sew! Thank you :)
YES! APRON! That’s exactly it! I think the fabric choices we see for this dress don’t help, mostly quilting cottons and that really adds to that feel. I’d like to see an all in one colour viscose version and see if it has the same issue. I mean it’s similar to the zadie jumpsuit in the bias bound edges, minimal tailoring and grown on sleeve and those don’t have to feel apron-y…
I am so happy I got my grannys patterns some day back to 1956. I can't wait to start making some of them.
I love hearing your kids playing in the background. Made me smile. Great video!
After watching a few of these challenge videos for this dress, I like yours the best so far. Your vintage machine is beautiful and your details about how you got it working again are very helpful. Thank you for showing the walk away dress next to the cobbler's apron. That side by side comparison highlights the unfitted style of the bodice next to the apron, and why I will use my time to make a different pattern that I would be happier with.
Thank you ❤❤
I dunno - I really liked the dress and thought it looked so nice on you! So pretty and unique and not like a lot of the same stuff you see out there over and over again nowadays. Also, I loved watching your sewing skills! Maybe I'll be almost as competent at sewing one day! 🙂
OMG...your kitchen...the COLOR! That is GOALS! Beautiful!
Thank you 🥹🥰🥰🥰
You've only been sewing for 6 years?! You're good. You're very good.
Hello, just sub. I love your entire vibe. Your fabric choices inspire me. I need to be more open to see colours and mixing. I have this pattern, the original and will make when I get a minute, but watching this challenge and it's participants has allowed me to find more like minded sewers. Keep inspiring.
You are beautiful! I love your hair! Wow all of your vintage items are impressive and your attention to detail is impeccable ! ❤💁🏻♀️☀️
The red dress you are in is a wow!
First time visitor here. Your video is wonderful, quiet background music and your voice balanced so I can hear you. You have an awesome voice, your commentary is well thought out and great instruction quality. That machine is just beautiful! What a treasure! Im hooked! I grew up sewing all my own clothes, mom taught all five of her daughters to sew. You are correct about the walk away dress looking like an apron. Makes me recall the kind of dresses my mom wore around the house. I didnt know what it was called. Your are an inspiring seamstress! Thank you for sharing your skill. Lord bless your day!
