  • Let’s laser-cut some simple Christmas decorations. In this video, I will quickly walk you through designing your own Christmas decorations using your laser cutter along with a couple of small pieces of plywood and a handful of LED lights. When you are finished you have a solid symbol of the holidays that can be hung indoors or out.

    Steve... you are a legend
    I have been researching all different lasers, and things you can do with them (before finally opting for the Xtool D1) and your videos have been incredibly helpful.
    Thank you

      Glad to help, though I doubt I'm a legend - nor is that my goal.😀. I just want to help people!
      The xTool D1 series are fantastic lasers, so you made a great choice.

    Awesome video! I may have to build one! I have a 400mm x 400mm 10w laser from Comgrow and I think I can do this entirely in lightburn. I think I'm going to try using battery operated string led lights. Great idea!

      Yes you should be able to put this together in Lightburn without too much trouble. I debated using fairy lights, but I wanted to put this one outside so I needed something with a bit more light.

      @@g-paj5430 You will need to scale it down, so you may want to use 3mm LEDs instead of 5mm

    Great idea Steve looks awesome. Of course you may have some explaining to do to your wife when she thought she was getting something unique, and suddenly realises everyone has made one. 😂😂

    Hi Steve, This decoration is truly awesome. Did you use 3 or 5 mm LED?

    • @SteveMakesEverything
      @SteveMakesEverything  Год назад

      I used 5mm leds, but I probably should have gone with the smaller 3mm ones because with the large units this is far too bright

      @SteveMakesEverything  Год назад +2

      I glued any loose wires down a bit with hot-melt glue and then covered all of the LEDa and wiring with weatherproof tape
