For people wanting to visit Niagara Falls I want to offer you expert advice. I grew up on the NY side just 10 minutes from the falls and my parents now live on the Canadian side about 15 mins away. Trust me...you want to STAY on the Canadian side. If you go to the NY side go to Goat island, it's the island that separates the falls. It's a state park and very safe. Other than that, head back to Canada. Niagara Falls NY was rated #2 for unsafe cities in NY state. Canada has the better view, more to do, clean, and SAFE.
If you have US dollars, you will enjoy the current exchange rate and shopping in Canada as well. Toronto is only 1.5 hour drive from Niagara Falls, so I'm glad Louis &Co. visited both.

It's worth it to drive to the BC side as well, the road is picturesque, and the clear blue rivers and streams are just... the stuff of life. Didn't see very many elks, sadly, but then again I only spent one day in the Rockies, was in Calgary for a conference.. :/
i traveled from england around america from chicago round to some cities then new york and eventually to niagara falls, was the best experience of my life. it was the hottest day ever and it was so refreshing to be on the boat and get the spray from the waterfall. would 100% go back!!

I am a born and raised a Detroiter. Windsor , Ontario was basically just a suburb of Detroit. I love Toronto and Niagara is amazing. Canada is amazing. My husband is Canadian in heritage. Such a beautiful country and the people are beautiful as well. Inside and out.

I go to Niagara Falls every year but I mever went behind the falls and close to the falls bc I never got the time 😩 After seeing this, I'm for sure going next to the falls next year. I always go to the arcades instead haha. Also, have any of you tried the Sky Screamer at Marineland?? Bc from the Canadian side you can see it and when you're on the top of the tower, the view of the Falls is so pretty 😍
