As a conservative/libertarian, I'm very glad to listen to Mr. Greenwald and Mr. Taibbi. I don't care about anyone's politics, only whether we can have a convo. Two of the best true reporters around.
As an ex-communist/socialist turned conservative, I also endorse these speakers. Like Taibbi and Greenwald, my politics didn't actually change. The left just got dumber -- so much dumber.
I can listen to Matt & Glenn anytime!! So glad Matt is taking a break from Useful idiots and pursuing more important matters right now. Utmost respect for these two!!

Glenn doesnt demonize people? What about the Jew in Kyiv leading his countries survival from a Russian orc army whom he called a nazi. Snowden still lives in a 20,000 SQ dacha in Moscow, let that sink in
Shout out to the lady who asked that last question which was so on point and the answer was great. I think that idea that both parties where basically the same was IMO why Trump saying he was going to drain the swamp resonated with so many people.
Yeah, it resonated, but it never happened. Instead, Trump filled the swamp with crocodiles. It's good to understand what people saw in Trump, or thought they saw, but let's not forget what an absolute disaster he was as President.
President Trump tried to drain the swamp, thats why they got rid of him. After shadowing his whole term. He will be back. All the neocons and war mongers will be dealt with.
Man thank y’all for introducing me to Glenn Greenwald. I don’t agree with everything he says but I really appreciate his perspective on a lot of issues.
The two best journalists in the world. Tiaibbi I have been a fan of since I discovered him in 2002 or 2003 with his critique on the Iraq war. I thought at the time he was so wrong and just a mouth piece for the left but his reporting was so concise and well laid out that I couldn’t help but take notice. From that point on I always read and listen to what he says and reports on.
Sacks asks, "What is our political divide if Left vs Right doesn't capture it?" Orwell answers: “The real division is not between conservatives and revolutionaries but between authoritarians and libertarians.” Brilliant discussion with three thoughtful observers. Thank you.
Wow! You certainly caught my eyes and ears! I’m a new subscriber. These two guys are two of the most level headed journalists in the country. (yes, I know, Greenwald technically lives in Brazil)
So amazing to see my 2 favorite journalists in one space speaking truth which is so rare these days. Please don’t ever stop bringing facts and objectivity to all of us.
Thank-you for this! It’s been hard to understand this dynamic of what I call “splitting off”. Something we cannot afford to do anymore as a culture and a species. I respect both Taibbi and Greenwald. It was hard during the emergence of Trump to hear Greenwald and what he was saying. However, what he was saying was holding the “tension of the opposites”. This is a needed dynamic that must continue publicly and interpersonally. It’s much more complex than what I am suggesting here, however suffice it to say, this podcast for me is a much needed conversation. Please keep on. And I hope Glenn Greenwald appears more frequently on broadcasts!
Two journalists who see the world as it is, not as the politicians would have you believe it to be. National treasures. It’s no surprise that nobody in corporate media will employ them.
Matt's comments about it being a class divide are spot on. I grew up poor, very poor, now I kick down 250k per year. I can see both sides of the rich/poor divide. I have also found that my experience is EXTREMELY rare. I've said for years we need politicians who remember living on ramen and store-brand mac n cheese. I hoped Obama would have remembered his childhood. Instead he embraced the Harvard elitist ideas and "forgot" where he came from. 😔
This is the first time in long time that, in a public forum, Glenn Greenwald wasn't subjected to some asinine argument about how he lacks any credibility due to his having appeared on Tucker Carlson's show.
