  • Those are my DiY Augmented Reality glasses.
    There is a camera and there is a FLCOS micro display.
    No tracking yet.
    Fully functional but it needs way more polishing. That's why it's V.0.4.
    I'm already working on better version so it's just a matter of time.

    By the way, if i could give you a suggestion for the project, i used some CAT5 cable since it has enough wires to route BOTH the webcam and RPi composite, and was more compact than 2 cables. Wish to see more info on this project! Cheers!

      Thanks! I’ve actually considered the Ethernet cable since there are lot of wires inside but it’s really stiff so it might be uncomfortable during longer uses.

    Great improvement!
    Are you going to try a form factor that the screen is placed on the side of the glass (between the head and the glasses leg) ?

    • @ManolloMancelli

      Thanks! I've already tried that but it requires me to build it similar to Google glass.

    Hello there! Cool video 😎 so is that micro display an AV output? If so how does that connect to the Pi? As you used a AV to HDMI converter in another AR glasses video. It'd be much appreciated if you could respond pleeeease 😁

    Did the subtitles get bugged right around the 2:00 mark? It talks about the magnifying glass a whole bunch of times in a row
    Oh wait it happens for a bunch of the subtitles

      Yes but you have to connect it via HdMI

    Any more info on the HUD sticker? where did you get it? does it have a specific name? Your progress is insane!

    • @ManolloMancelli
      @ManolloMancelli  2 года назад

      You can search just for “HUD” on AliExpress and you can find it pretty much instant. It works poorly in this particular case though.

      @@ManolloMancelli Thanks! will look for it for my prototypes as well, it seems much easier to use and apply that compared to the HUD glass that you have to cut.

    Great job! have you thought of moving the hardware to the arms and project basic data like clock and maybe notifications etc. from an Arduino to the glass?

    • @ManolloMancelli
      @ManolloMancelli  Год назад +1

      Thanks! My main goal is to use regular Windows PC as processing unit. It's possible to move the display into the arms but I don't think I will focus on this at the moment

    What's the reasoning of the webcam? Just to take pictures or something?
