I've been having these glasses from December and the only thing I can say is "the future is now old man". I had really low expectations and the glasses absolutely surprised me. There are many pros and some cons I've observed.
    Pros
    - really lightweight and looks like normal glasses, super portable in the normal looking glass cover
    - the screen size is really big. It's like personal cinema for real.
    - the speakers do pretty decent job and for normal usage I don't bother to put in headphones. Said that you can't do that in public as people can hear laid and clear what's coming from your speakers
    Some cons
    - the 1080p is really pushing the screen size and if you want to use it for work like Mac extension screen or as dexx screen you will notice pixels. 4k or at least 1440 would make the difference.
    - I like to enjoy the cinema experience in dark room that's where these glasses absolutely shine. Said that when there are some bright areas to display you can observe some ghosting - hard to describe as it's not picture quality ghosting but because of the refraction.
    - with the refraction or mirror effect of those lenses if you are not in dark or wearing bright t shirt especially with some text or pictures on it it will reflect to your glasses like a mirror as you'll see reflection of your chest.. This one is really annoying at least for me. Can be solved watching in dark or wearing black cloths.
Overall this is amazing toy and can replace tv easily. Either watching in bed or on the go in the car when waiting for kids to finish their activities.
Or for work when I had a meeting where someone was presenting and I was walking outside in see through mode and projecting the content on the footpath and having absolutely perfect ability to interact and be part of the meeting despite being on the go was mind-blowing for everyone.;)

AR 😋, but yeah they will actually change the game as the convential method was to have a all in one unit - battery and re-charging components including the SOC. Which not only makes them bulky but there is always the risk that people will use them whilst re-charging therefore overheating the battery. Given... what happens when overheated battery goes.... and wearing on your head when it does won't be a pleasent experience to the say the least. So, by having a processing done externally comfort is also increased as no heat dissipation is needed for the SOC. That heat will go both in the area and the users head... lol.. then is also the aspect of electro-sensitivity. So, yeah by having the AR glasses merely act like displays solves a vast array of problems. Sure, it doesn't solve the biological problem of eye strain but that's on the user not NReal just as monitor OEMs are not liable to eye strain issues caused by prolonged use by users.

Wow, just imagine what it would be like in a few years later, just a simple pair of glasses can act as your own portable mornitor, watching movies, reading stories, receiving notification and calls without even picking up the phone is an amazing and mind-blowing concept

Great video! It's fascinating to see the inner workings of these futuristic smart glasses. The Nreal AR glasses seem to offer a really cool and immersive experience, and it's impressive that they are so lightweight and comfortable to wear. I also appreciate the thorough teardown and explanation of how the glasses work. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Also the equivelant of a 1500 inch display, or 5 inch display.
My main problem not just with the Nreal, but all of the similar AR/VR glasses is that it requires a supported phone and app.
Plug it into something like the Steamdeck, it turns into a non3D monitor.
This tech has incredible potential, imagine playing AR/VR games from the steamdeck on the move(yes, some great looking games can run at 4K60 on the steamdeck plenty of power for 90hz 1080p3D/VR
Beyond this imagine plugging this into the headrest of your car, look down and it shows you a 3d map of the area, look over either shoulder and it shows you a mini view of your blind spots or backup camera.
I've personally used them to participate candidate interviews hands free while i'm building computers for our rotation

Fascinating, it's just a twin monitor, with Gyroscope peripheral, yet with the adequate software, it works. Whoahow!!!
And not to mention, they are relatively easy to repair too!!! Why smartphone manufacturer don't do this?!

I've had the opportunity to use the Magic Leap before and was impressed with how it allowed me to scan the room and play games. However, I'm excited about the possibility of using AR glasses like these for work and gaming while on-the-go, without the need for a clunky monitor. The heads-up display feature shown in the video would be a great addition for quick access to information and tasks. I can see these glasses being especially useful for professionals who travel frequently, as they can easily take their work with them wherever they go. Thanks for sharing this video! I'm a big fan of your work

It would be so cool if you could stick certain windows to stationary areas like a wall so that the window would always show on that wall.. I would love to play around a bit with something like these glasses as I have dreamt of AR glasses for a long while. Franky I see it as a possible future fusion of mobil, pad, laptop and screen which is powered by something like a smartphone that had no screen, just the battery and the computing power. I can easily see 10001 uses for tech like that. :D

I love to listen to music with lyrics on screen, but at the same time I feel an urge to do something productive, with those i can imagine how i would be doing all of the house chores until i had nothing to do :D
And can you imagine taking a walk with your dog without having to stop watching a show? Just get up, put those on and then just watch out for poles!

If those giveaways are not gone yet, please count me in.. I'll use them for work and movies, no games, sorry.. I am absolutely blown away by this technology, can't wait to see more advanced versions. Thank you!!!

2:20 genuinely surprised there isn't a setting or ability to fix the game screen in a position so you could sit on a couch and "set" the TV on a wall, so if you turn to grab a drink or something the screen stays where it is. Having it always in front of you must be uncomfortable for some and I'm sure they could fix this is a software update. Just an option to fix the screen in place.
