- What a year for action figures, and one line in particular was a blast to collect! He-Man Origins by Mattel.
A great blast back to the past, one that nurtures world Building for your displays, as well as putting out a great cast of characters!

Origins is probably our favorite line to collect and pay with. It's a great retro throwback while continuously adding new, exciting elements to the offerings. I'm so glad I tracked down extra gear for our Castle Grayskull. It should have come with two ladders anyway!

My favorite line, even with the less articulation and simple paint applications.
Yeah I actually really like them for that, I feel it fits the Heman motif. They don’t need to be overly complicated, it really works for this old school looking line.

I agree with you I absolutely love the minimal articulation. I hate thigh cuts on all figures it’s a stupid design choice imho. Especially if they have some form of design on the leg where when you try to rotate the thigh it don’t line up. Toe articulation is another one that annoys me just not as much as thigh.

Love this line but it doesn't help my bank account. Been opening them and playing with them with my 3 year old daughter. I hope I can keep finding them in the wild.
My favorite line of the year for sure. Absolutely LOVE these figures.
This has become my fav toyline! I only have about ten of em so far (still really want Whiplash, Roboto, Maefaces,Triklops..ECT). Can't wait till let my collection grow!
I've been a big MOTU fan ever since I was a kid so I've really enjoyed the Origins line. Not only for the nostalgia, but it has given me a chance to own so many more characters than I ever did as a kid. I hope it keeps on going for a good long time. Great video and Happy New Year.
I’ve had so much fun, buying extras (which I’ve NEVER done for a toy line) to swap and create new characters (painting and sculpting, again something I’ve never done until this line) It’s so much fun. I’m also buying the CGI series figures and Masterverse. I got the Spaceman Power Con set. I wanted the Horde one but it sold out. I can’t justify spending 200, Gower THAT packaging is GORGEOUS and so creative.

Awesome. I’m sure they will eventually release the previous power con excl’s just as they have with the lords of power one from 2020.

I 100% agree. MOTU Origins has been the most fun I’ve had collecting in years. And I also agree to focus on enjoying what we have already. And to invest in displaying what we have already. Happ-He New Year!

beautiful, but no possibility to buy them in store in europe! you can find them on amazon or else they are sold for double the price !! Mattel when you decide to also think about the European market by distributing the motu also in the shops ??????? we are tired of spending 40 € for a product that costs 16 €
I hope they will improve that market for 2022. Everyone needs these motu!

The Origins line is as close to the original as you can get. I loved MOU as a kid and Origins allowed me to re-live those great moments I had as a kid.

I've been cherry picking this and Revelation. I got Faker because I didn't have him as a kid, LOP Merman because it's my favorite look for the character, and the Keldor Kronis Two-Pack because I love the 200x cartoon!
But man, seeing them all displayed at once like that is something else!

I've got to agree that this was the best line to collect in 2021. I missed out on a few of these too or skipped some that I felt were redundant. I love the set up you've done for the video! I really hope to get Wave 7 soon either from BBTS or to finally find them in my local Target. Those were the only figures I wanted and couldn't get.
I Kids will love this Castle grey skull playset toy, especially when I have to store it in their closet because I am running out of room.
Happ He New Year Shiz! Dude this line is such a blast. I am a big MOTU fan and I am loving this. I have the majority of them but missed the Power Con stuff. Can't wait for the Horde Troopers next wave! I want the Slime Pit to be the next playset. Here's hoping for 22.

As a life long action figure collector this is my favourite line. Bring on Snake Mountain!
I just started collecting the he-man motu last month and I now have all but two of the power cons left to get I can't wait for more of this line is awsome I still have a ton of vintage as well voltron thundercats if you are a real collector plus I just love toys
Such a fun line to collect, hits every level of nostalgia 🤩
For the most part, this line is very assessable. Ask any GI Joe classified collector, that line is the worst to collect IMO

That's crazy, I've had to buy most online or on secondary market for jacked up prices. I've only ever seen maybe 15% of these in store
I grew in 80s but watched He-Man in early 90s. Just recently start this collection line (as recently, it's really recent, barely 2 weeks ago lol). The thing that I admire about MOTU Origins is the consistency of the design.You can just put them side by side with the 80's-90's issued figures, and the only barely visible difference in toys era probably in the figure's condition. Other than that, they will look very similar in style, something that I didn't found in recently made long showing series, e.g: Power Rangers. This MOTU Origins figure style really appeal to new collectors such as myself, as it will be a fun road ahead of collecting them.

I can't believe anyone would not be into MOTU! I've loved MOTU since 1985!
I like this line but hate that I missed so many figures as I jumped in late and now am selling them off as collecting the missing stuff will just be too pricey considering I am also collecting a lot of the Super 7 stuff. I am willing to give up these so I can get that giant Party Wagon lol. But, overall it is a great line, I just wish they were easier to find in stores. Too many waves just skipped where I live completely. I couldn't find a Land Shark but then found 20 at one store. Anymore, my willingness to collect any line greatly depends on how easy they are to get. Any line that is fully online will get my money right away.

Does anyone know if Mattel is going to ship more the others like Mer Man, Beastman, Stinkor, and others besides keep the ones at target like stratos, buzz off, sorceress, Jitsu, and He-man?
I live in Austin, Texas. Wal-Marts and Targets were NOT flooded or stocked for Christmas 2021. Distro is not getting better

He man very popular in Indonesia 🇮🇩 during 90s but the toys never available in Indonesia toys store. Now today I just bought He man figure in local online. Very similar to 80s toys. Next I will buy Battle Cat.

I just hate the fact that kids are not getting into these figures I counted up a total of 80 Castle grayskulls at three different targets tons of Battle cats and Panthers tons of battle armor He-Man and skeletors all I need is the exclusives and goddess if it wasn't for us adults the toy companies would bankrupt
I feel the same way. When I went to 80s ToyCon three months ago, the crowd was mostly adults.
Also doesn't help how messed up and random the distribution is for this line. I've *never* seen a castle grayskull in store. Not even a place marker for it.
About half of the lines never made to any stores around here either.
Yet our shelves has dozens and dozens of he-man, sleletor, battle cat, keldor, etc...

I know I'm late on this video but I love comparing others collections to mine and my love of MOTU, but it being 2024 and thinking I have every figure possible, even the super 7 and now the turtles, I don't have the figure in your video at 6:34 behind scareglow over triclops and fisto, who is that? It's killing me to try and find out. Nice video would love to see your collection today. They need to bring back battlebones to hold some of these guys.
I have avoided buying these simply because I don't need another line to collect. I've been cherry picking Revelations, and something gave me the idea that a classic Teela might be up for pre-order. Looking for that is how I ended up finding Mosquitor images. I knew if I saw one in person, I'd pick it up.
A couple days ago I found him in Target-thats an awesome figure! I'm glad to have something that scales with my Dark Ages Black Manta and Pinhead, but this could be the start of another collection.

I haven't had the money or the time to collect the Masters of the Universe collection.. I wish, that, I did have the money or time to collect...
In my opinion I do see some disappointments to the Masters of the Universe collection though.. I can list them for you starting now....
1 ) I know, that He-Man and Skeletor are the main characters, but you have too many remakes and painted versions of them..
2 ) When Mattel remade She-Ra you remade her in the 1980's outfit, and they didn't do anything spectacular with her
3 ) There are far less female warriors than there are male characters and it seems overlapped...
4 ) I know, I may sound bad in this, but then again this is my opinion maybe Mattel should have looked in the 2011 Masters of the Universe Classic line and made them a little smaller versions, and make it for adult collectors as well, then you would have characters like Battleground Teela, Queen Grayskull, Glimmer Frosta, Sweet Bee, Horde Prime, the other version of King Grayskull, Queen Marlena, Spinderella, Perfuma, Peekaboo,Castaspella, Seahawk, Bow, Shadow Weaver, and etc...
Well that is what, I could think of for now...
I remember one guy that could put his eyes up above his head like a periscope, there was a lever at the back of the figure. Anyone remember this dude?

The reason why I’m asking because I don’t know how old the retro figures are now.
Also I'm in spokane and the walmart here has like 10 moss mans if anyone is looking.
I have a 1983 fisto has purple and silver chest piece. But it has a brown face with lighter brown hair, black eyebrows and skin colored lips. It was bought by me as a child So i know it came out of the package like that. Anyone else seen or have one?
I'm so over the repaints, evil lynn, lop merman beastman, the goodness teela, 2 sorceress. Now anti eternity heman, when was he in the original line? Never. The Origins Line was suppose to be a redo of the original line, not 200x or Classic, but the vintage line. So two tricylops, and all these repaints are taking away from King Randor, Cobra Khan, King hiss, Mantenna, Grizzlor, thunder punch Heman, Leech, all original vintahe figures they can make, but leave it to Mattel to reissue the same figure with different paint 2 or 3 times. Hell if they want to release figures that haven't been made before in the vintage line, what about queen Marlene to take the place of ANTI ETERNIA Heman, or Catra to go with Shera or Shawdow weaver, Bow.
i got a question..i live in the netherlands..i bought he man and skeletor from this line..but we donnt have the other figures here yet..only faker evil lyn fisto and mer man..and he man ..but not the other figures
unfortunately there are even fewer of them in Italy 😱. I only found he man and skeletor ...

“Wackado line” aren’t most of, if not all the 80’s IPs kinda wacky? TMNT, M.A.S.K, C.O.P.S Etc etc.
