    I will never understand why people were ever against Jeymi. Something about how Kris interacted with Jeymi just felt almost uncanny.

    • @wackybrattyx
      @wackybrattyx 10 месяцев назад +5

      Yes!!! That’s a really good word for it. It was just…off. Like, it didn’t feel like the way you’d treat someone who you have genuine care, let alone love for, you know? 😧. It was eerily…inconsistent and cold in a, “these actions don’t add up kind of way”. 🤔 Like someone pretending to be”love” someone but not even caring enough to want to make it convincing…

    • @emmyhope26
      @emmyhope26 10 месяцев назад +2

      Yes exactly!! And just the way Kris kind of stares and way she shows anger, like anything could cause it at any moment was super unsettling to me. She had that creepy smile, like when you're young and acting up at the store and your mom gives you "the look" and you know you're in trouble. @@wackybrattyx

    People got stuck in the fact that Kris was sending Jayme money, so they jumped to the conclusion that Jayme was using Kris for money, particularly as Jayme is a Venezuelan immigrant who probably doesn’t have a lot of money. But they don’t take into account all of the other stuff, their arrangement, the rental, the request to quit. I believe Jayme, I think Kris lied too many times, lies that we can track even in the show, and maybe she lies from abuse of substance, addiction, or who knows why, but she lies. Jayme’s story tracks, Kris’s is all over the place. They weren’t fair to her in the Tell All, she looked frustrated and even cried, I can understand that, it’d feel very unfair.

    • @wackybrattyx
      @wackybrattyx 10 месяцев назад +7

      I never thought she was using her for money. Hence, why I felt like people being against her/claiming she wants money was purely xenophobic. On the show, it literally showed Kris ASKING Jymie to quit her job, and Jymie being unsure. But Kris pleads and convinces her by claiming she has enough savings to keep them upfloat AND fund a business! 😬

    • @wackybrattyx
      @wackybrattyx 10 месяцев назад +7

      And like a normal person, Jymie believes her (who wouldn’t trust their partner?!). Then Kris proceeds to disappear and potentially render this person who she promised to support homeless. Huh?! That’s so crazy and disturbing to me. 😮 Who would do that to someone they love?

    • @wackybrattyx
      @wackybrattyx 10 месяцев назад +6

      She made her financially dependent then left her hanging. AND then, had the…frightening ability to twist things around and claim that Jymie was “using her” by asking for asking her for rent money.

    • @wackybrattyx
      @wackybrattyx 10 месяцев назад +5

      No wonder Jymie is traumatized, confused, and has trust issues now. I’m not even her, and I’m aghast, stressed out, confused, and distressed just writing this out! Like? It’s just so callous…😳.

    • @irairod5160
      @irairod5160 10 месяцев назад +4

      @@wackybrattyx I agree, Kris talked Jeymi into moving into a bigger apartment (Remember that? Kris needed an American-style kitchen?) then convinced her to quit her job so they could work full time on a food truck or in meal prep and delivery business. This socially isolated Jeymi, and rendered her financially and emotionally dependent on Kris. At the same time, Kris became dependent on Jeymi since the latter was the only one fluent in Spanish, the one most able to navigate the healthcare system, find business opportunities, read sale contracts, etc. This couple was in more of a situationship than in a real relationship.

  • @irairod5160
    @irairod5160 10 месяцев назад +50

    Dr. Honda and friends, What Jeymi was trying to convey, and got lost in translation, is that she wonders if Kris is mostly into men, but because she knew she'd have more chances to be cast for 90DF if she had a female partner, she pursued a relationship with a foreign woman. If you go back to 23:58, the part when Jeymi was answering HOW they got on the show, what she's saying is that Kris REALLY wanted to be on the show, and thinking that being with a woman would make her storyline more "TLC worthy", she sought Jeymi and almost immediately brought up the idea of applying for an audition. Jeymi explains that she is aware that she might be misinterpreting Kris' intentions---out of frustration, confusion, and hurt---and admits, "I don't have security of this" meaning both "I'm not certain" and "I have no evidence" [if those were Kris' motivations,] "but it's something I've wondered" [if a female, and Jeymi specifically, was a pawn in a game of chasing fame]. She closes that part of the story by saying that she only knows what she, [Jeymi herself], felt and wanted, but was never sure of which of Kris' statements were real and which were not, and later adds, "then or now". So, it's clear that she feels Kris lied so much that she can't tell what was true, and what wasn't.

      @@nursetinalouise I saw comments expressing confusion about that part of the interview, so I felt it would be worth clarifying. (And yes, your knowledge of Spanish might've helped you, and if you have familiarity with learners of English, are bi- or multi-lingual yourself, and/or have a flexibility around linguistic diversity, that also greatly contributes to your comprehension when English learners' word-choice matches their dominant language's closer than it does English.)

    Jeymi is so sweet and kind and amazing. I never understood how anyone could think she was a gold digger. It was sooo clear she was in for a rough ride with Kris. The crap we put up with when we are in love huh. I hope Jeymi can learn to trust again, not everyone is as messed up and awful as Kris. My ex lied a lot too, the inconsistencies were so much I stopped being able to trust a single word they said. When I would call them out on it, they’d get really angry and turn it around accusing me of being ridiculous and having issues. It reminded me a lot of the way Kris just flew off the handle for daring to point it out. I’m in a great relationship now where I have trust in my partner because she’s proven over and over she is honest.

    It’s interesting the way he’s talking about addiction. I’d add just because someone gets sober or stops using, doesn’t mean they stop the lying behavior. They became adept at lying and use those skills to their advantage whether they use drugs/drink or not. If they didn’t have empathy when they used they don’t have empathy now.

    'foreign goldigger" which I don't feel like she is it really seemed like she got scammed by Kris and no one chose to see it in the cast. PLEASE DO A DEEP DIVE ON PATHOLOGICAL LIARS! I've lived with one and it was never clear where the lies end and truth begins. He was also suffering from addiction: online video games. He was lying a lot to enable his addiction. And YES please do more cast interviews.

  • @charlize9341
    @charlize9341 10 месяцев назад +4

    I don't want to write something slanderous about a cast member, but it is difficult to think of another explanation for the disappearances than addiction. I mean, maybe was Kris was very uninterested in Jeymi and using her to be cast, but wouldn't she need to maintain the relationship to stay on the cast? Maybe Kris had extreme shame around her son's arrest or her need to work for more money, but she offered those explanations. Why not stay in basic contact and just ask to not talk too much about it if it so difficult? Being unconscious for stretches at a time seems like the only thing that connects the dots. Especially given that we know Kris's mother had an account Kris would use to transfer money to Jeymi. That sounds a lot like hiding what one is actually doing with the funds. Lying to cover the shame of use just seems to be only clear explanation. I guess catatonic depression fits the bill as well. I'm sure Kirk's hypotheses that pathological lying or unusual lack of empathy is playing a factor here. Whatever was going on with Kris, it was certainly irrational decisions to manage it and they didn't ultimately serve her well.
