@@fuiplu Thank you, thank you, thank you...Finally a true evaluation of this video...he did ruin it. This is probably why he is gone...egomaniacs...usually are the main reason why good bands break up. I blame the guy running the sound board too...a little tweak of the volume knob to the left would have worked.
@jackiegood3686 love BR one of my all time Favorites since I was a teen..Wiseman is a gifted musician, no doubt about it, just had to keep it relevant to the song, and it would have been ok .
I was turned on to Blue Rodeo back in 91 actually..but didn't catch this song until only a few years ago. (Don't know how that happened)~ Love Blue Rodeo and am so proud that I come from a region not at far from them! The western NY Lake Ontario region. We love Canada! This song turned out to be one of my favorites. Love this live version of it.
FINALLY the rain is leaving....the fog is burning off and the sun (still hiding) is coming out for a few gloriorski days! Think I will pass the time listening to some Blue Rodeo.....after the rain.
here in niagara falls in canada there is always a rainbow over the falls after the rain. playing this song as you stand and catch the view is the real way to listen to this song. OH YEAH!!!!!!!
soapboxearth2 hey bro, laurel is a girl.....and believe me, you won't have half the view from your good old US of A as you do on this side of the border. if you ever saw niagara falls new york and try to compare it, you would need mental help that even your Obamacare wouldn't cover. on the canadian side we make it always look clean and beautiful. on the good old US of A side, it looks like a garbage dump. check it out and see for yourself....and laurel would be so proud, you called her bro.. she'll probably punch your lights out!!!! hahahahahahaha
Al Huggins cool it bro!lol.i'm Canadian! born and raised .. give those poor yanks a little slack though. they didnt have the good fortune of being born Canadian... i just read the question about needing a passport to go to niagra falls and i thought of Rick Mercer- talking to americans...
hahahahahahahaha okay, my friend, it's just that i live here in niagara and i really know the difference. that's why tourists come to this side so they're not so disgusted with the other side, and that's about the only thing that they can't blame the turkey Obama for. have a good one bud.
Oh No No No....I have loved them for so long! They are mine. If your Canadian they are your treasure! They have been mine for soooo long! I love this band! I love The Jim Cuddy band too! Peace!
@hippyboy911 That keyboardist is Bob Wiseman. Yeah, he's a little different to look at when he's in his zone musically, but he's one of the best keyboardists out there. He always kept Blue Rodeo creative and musically interesting. Bob plays with the Hidden Cameras these days.
He has grown into his talent! he was good then,now he brings life and heart into his songs! I saw them live once and hope to see them again this summer at folk fest here in Manitoba
treat this song like your own!! rain doesn't always represent sad songs, it just mean you want to hear good Canadian music. try this song for just a rainbow you've been wishing for!! think outside the box!!
Teehee is right! How jarring. lol I worked for their record label (in the states) at the time and I don't remember that hairdo AT. ALL! Must've blocked it out. :p Greg looks like I remember from back then. But yeah, still crazy about them all! So fun to see Bobby again.
....missed a verse....If I were a train, I would never slow down. With my head in the sky and the world going by, every nowhere town. As I write one more letter to you, Lord I can't change the things that I do........ Must be the old TV time limit, gotta shave those seconds when we can.... One of my favourite BR songs....
I've listened to BR since the beginning and I suspect their one chance to really make it big ended here. The Tonight Show was not a place to dive off the deep end, no matter how inspired.
Damn! I love Jim's voice - one of a kind!
One in a million eh?. I love it much more as well.
MAY GOD BLESS THESE MEN FOR SINGING TRUTH, AS ONLY THEY CAN.
I am Canadian on my Dad's side. Guess we all can treasure the band. The sound is so origional. We just love it too.
Omg, have been following these guys for 30 years....countless concerts from east to west! They are so talented and Canada's best!! Rock on BR!!
OMG, the 90... the end of good times... they look so young
I discovered these guys in Canada's Much Music Tv !!! CIRCA 1989...and please note that I am from Ecuador (South America)
A great song by an iconic band
I didn’t know this song was so old! Classic…
i miss their insane keyboardist! saw him perform in Halifax after his departure.awesome guy
Couldn't agree more!!
I agree. He was the greatest part of that particular incarnation of their band. They wouldn't have been the same if it weren't for him
@@Vickytoriahirt1234 I'm pretty sure they did just fine with out Wiseman....A great song but his part ruined this version for me

The man could sing the back of a corn flakes box and send shivers down my spine!
Jim Cuddy, you have come a long way, still sounding the best as ever. I totally love the way you give it out!

This is how they dressed for their first Tonight Show appearance? No matter, the singing more than makes up for anything else. A Canadian treasure.
Classic Blue Rodeo...keyboarding and all....love it!!!

Right on Jim
Man, Cuddy is a hell of a singer.
Jim looks so hot with this hairstyle and his voice is excellent as always.

One of my favourite BR songs....
@Blackbird2004 I agree; that keyboard totally brings me out of the reverie that Cuddy brought me to.
@pre10der76
This song wins over desperado..just my opinion..Kate
@nathanomgnathan that is the truth
PIPES!
@hippyboy911 I can't find what you may have said..But I am lmao....Kate
That's not Jesus but very close Jim
I totaly agree! It ruins a GREAT song. I always thought this song was a great rival to the Eagles - Desperado.
cuddy for prime minister
;)

Explain a little more...not sure what you mean. I am not being a ass just trying to understand your comment.
@watersong111 lol
love this song but gawd, HATE the keyboard mess at the end that's in this live version
The keyboard player ruins this wonderful song
Somebody please unplug that keyboard!! Way to ruin an otherwise perfect performance.
Great song ruined by an awful organ solo, IMHO.
