Previously watched a gcn video on stem changes and they mentioned when changing stems cable lengths (braking and shifting) might need adjusting. Is this something that might also occur when simply flipping the existing stem or should that be possible without further adjustments? Am thinking about flipping my stem (that has quite the angle on it) but dont want to screw other stuff up while doing so :D

Great comment, yes, that can happen if the manufacturer has not accounted for the cables or hoses, also if the bike is second hand and was never intended to have such a mahoosive angle that can also pull on the cables. There is only one way to find out and that is flip it and see.

@LeeGo121 all parts are stock so i guess ill hope the manufacturer accounted for it :D. How exactly would i notice if things are wrong? Would i already have trouble getting the handlebar back in place or would i only notice when everythings put together again and my shifting suddenly doesnt work properly? (brakes i should be able to fix, shifting adjustments however are wizardry to me :D)

Yeah, pretty much hold the bars up into position without the front plate and if you see any pulling on the cables near the entry points, including when turning, it will be a no go. As with anything, If in any doubt, don’t or just put it back and get a wizard to do it for you.
