- In this Woodturning video I take a Birch log from the firewood pile and turn another goblet to add to my weird goblet collection!! I stained the piece down slightly to make it seem more organic and to me it looks like it has been melted and stretched, I used a clear lacquer finish..

I've watched hundreds of wood turning videos with all manner of elaborate designs but I've never seen anyone make a piece that looks like this. It looks stunning.

Loved the way you started with everything measured and worked to specific lines, then went all freehand with the pencil and the Dremel. It's bizarrely beautiful!
You could definitely do two sets for newlyweds. One of goblets and the other of eggcups! They can start out as life will lead them. Organised yet a tad chaotic 😂

This is definitely a unique piece, one of a kind😄. My turning has been going well too, I've turned five pens and am working on two sets for friends. Also hoping to save up some money to get a slow grinder for my hs lathe chisels and get a new workbench set up in my garage.

This is the Goblet all fantasy lovers would love to have. It has a nice elegant witch/elven feel to it. Me personally I would like for the cup part to be a little bit taller and a dark'ish color stain (maybe black cherry). Overall this is BEAUTIFUL ❤ keep up the great work mate ❤.

Very cool concept. Question on your carving burrs - how do you clean them? Mine clog with wood.

Nice work on the goblet. I was wondering what type of tool you use for hollowing. I've seen you use it in just about every turning you do, What is it?
Thanks 👍 I use a couple from Simon Hope Woodturning .. the heavy duty carbide and the 10 mm carbide, I also have the hollowing system

Every time you do one of these "Odd" pieces, as I'm watching I'm like, "oh no . . . what is he doing? . . . He's _Ruining_ it!"
And then it always turns out amazing.
Question: could you have soaked it in hot water, and then gently pulled the struts apart enough to slip some large marbles or resin orbs into the center?
