Brilliant again, thank you - it's very nice to be reminded that Swindley - Arthur Lowe of course - was a big part of the show for quite some time.
And the Val and Ena scene was beautiful, as was the final scene - perfect writing and acting. Nobody has EVER come close to replacing Ena and Valerie and so many other wonderful actors and characters.
Written by the so brilliant John Finch, later to create A Family At War and Sam.

Thanks for sharing, another fab episode. Thought it was funny Mr Swindley sending Elsie out for a paper, her flicking through saying court case not in, then spotting him on front page ! Lovely, touching final scene with Val & Ken then showing the knitting.

3:25 Oh Val come on! Ken is a LADIES MAN. Sending Mrs. Sharples in her pinny is NOT going to stop him from chasing skirts😂😂😂

Sadistic monster 😂 Mr Swinleys face, Emily et Elsie as if it may have been written about him. Script writing at its best ❤
