@@YATESA8 Probably. They'd also all be screwed if the race was on water. Or if instead of a motorcycle race, they were at a knitting competition. Trying to say the electric motorcycle is bad actually because it's not good at doing something it's not built to do is ultimate copium. You're basically admitting in order to win, gas needs to create its own special safe space to compete in.

@@techs1smh13 You know they pit stop every 60 miles or so for Baja races, right? You could get it done already with the right battery swapping pit crew.
If you're interested, next range leap will likely be lithium-silicon batteries already being tested in airplanes. Probably 5 years til we get them in dirtbikes. They're a little over twice as energy dense in volume and weight currently so we'll have bikes with double the current range or just the same range and a lot lighter. What's crazy is the theoretical limit is 10x more than current lithium batteries which are already at 80% their theoretical limit so you could see in your lifetime a 200lb dirtbike with a 500 mile range which is just silly. Most likely something like a 175lb Stark Varg like dirtbike will be more popular.

Electrics aren't criticized for being slow, or low performance. They are criticized for impracticality and affordability. Availability of resources and longevity of parts, too. My '89 Ford pickup and my KLR650 contain no lithium, Cobalt or neodymium, and will continue running well into the 2040s and beyond so long as they're maintained with cheap and common parts.

No not really the battery and motor is really havy. If you want a lot of power gas is the way to go cus the big battery is to havy wich cause the frame to failure it already happen and the gas bike doesn’t need a bigger fuel tank just a more quality engine wich makes more horsepower or nitro or a turbo it makes a lot mor horsepower and isn’t as havy as the controller, Battery , motor and the extra large frame for more space that would n the video was a surron and it’s mor comparable with a electric bicycle becaus it uses bicycle parts

It shouldn't be a problem. If a gasoline bike can refuel then an electric bike should be allowed to swap out depleted batteries for charged ones.
If the bike is designed right it should take just a few seconds.
