The tesla fans seem to be missing the whole point of why its a problem for the rear end of the frame to snap off instead of bending like an f-150 has been proven to do under similar (but much worse) circumstances. Think about it, youre towing a 10,000 lbs trailer and hit a hard dip in the road. You've hit that dip a few dozen times before, you don't even slow down for it anymore, but this time the frame finally lets go. The trailer is now free to go wherever the laws of physics takes it... it drifts into the oncoming lane and collides with a small car with a closing speed of 80mph

I am all about EVs I have a model 3 and when I replace my truck I am almost certainly going electric. That being said as somebody who has hauled extremely heavy loads and knowing what can and will happen to a hitch knowing that that is all it took to crack that was being dropped on that concrete I think showed a fragile is you will not see that happen with Any other pick up truck that can haul that kind of a load I am pretty familiar with this stuff, I’ve been a welder and fabricator for a couple decades they might bend but not shear off

Any clue on how to factory reset a KO pro got one on a mx3 sting was working but not fast ( bypassed) battery so connected to the app done throttle calibration fine then won't do motor calibration then controller just bleeps and now it don't run I'm sick of KO crap there's no back up they don't answer email's worst company out there its a friends bike he brought with the KO already installed but now its a door stop anyone got any clues please ?

In fact for my use they are significantly worse I hope you read my comment and don’t brush it off as hate because I don’t hate Tesla or electric, I just don’t think they are better because of many key dealbreakers that make them worse overall products For context I’m a luxury car buyer, my most important requirement is LUXURY not how people see the status of my car or how much it costs. These are the reasons i sold my Tesla and won’t be owning another one for the foreseeable future As an ex Tesla owner: I will never buy an electric car again. I had (that’s right past tense) a 2024 model 3 long range. Absolutely the worst “luxury” sedan I’ve ever owned (yes it counts as luxury because I had to pay luxury car tax on it), for what cost the same as a maxed out Lexus es300h sports luxury in Australia I got - extreme interior squeak rattle and build quality issues (not as bad as Mercedes e class but still very bad) I took it back to 3 seperate service centres that told me the car was good and way better than earlier model 3s, the worst issue (there were many but this was the worst) was a squeak in the dash when going around corners that I had replaced 3 times under warranty, some people online reported it coming back within hours of replacement - absolutely atrocious sound isolation (yes I’m aware that it’s better than older model 3s but it’s still worse than anything in its price class), it’s so bad that the car on the highway with the petrol motor going on the es hybrid is quieter than the Tesla which is electric. - terrible suspension, on dirt roads I could feel every minor bump whereas in my new Lexus it floats along (not as much as Mercedes e class air suspension does but that upgrade is ridiculously priced and the Lexus still beats the base Mercedes suspension) - atrocious (by a luxury vehicle standards) sound system, I swear this is due to the bad build quality of the doors, but you can FEEL the sound that reverberates inside the door panels resulting in this off putting sound quality, whereas on real luxury brands this doesn’t happen due to the increased padding. - overly firm seats that would feel more at home on a a sports car whereas the Lexus and Mercedes seats are better for luxury vehicles, imo Lexus does it best but some prefer Mercedes in this regard - range I got the long range but my new Lexus can go up to 1100km on a single tank, yes I know you can charge at home but 629km is nearly 1/2 the range, if I ever wanted to go on any long distance trip efficiently I would be adding sooooooo much time, and it’s a double whammy because the Lexus is so enjoyable on road trips, you can’t get to most places in Australia on the Tesla that you can on the Lexus, and the ones you can get to, if I stop every 2 hours; it takes 2 minutes to stretch my legs and be back on the road but charging the Tesla took 10-15+ minutes at each stop and over the course of a 2+ day trip that adds hours to my time each way. - lack of Apple CarPlay, yes I know Tesla’s system is good but it has a few key dealbreakers a: limited maps support when on CarPlay I have Apple Maps, Google maps, and waze because I’ve had experiences where each one has let me down and I switched temporarily b: lack of home control, home link only allows 3 devices while the home assistant CarPlay app allows me to control everything c: paid parking registration in most areas at least where I live without going onto your phone is difficult and frustrating because the only way to do it is in a web browser where you’re forced to operate a desktop interface by touch. Also after using Tesla’s system I am confident that idrive from bmw is WAY more fun and enjoyable with more useful animations to just make life less boring, Tesla’s system is too clinical with only the bare minimum animations I know the software issues can be fixed but you should never buy a product based on future promises, if I had bought an early Tesla and waited this long and these issues still are there, I would have flipped out by now given how simple these are and the price; Going back to the homelink issue because that is the biggest one I mean 1 gate and two garage doors, and I’ve used up my whole home link on the Tesla, that’s 1 house worth of doors what about gate at work? What if I wanted another weekend beach house? Those are all things the target market of this vehicle would consider Some of these issues are Tesla specific but some affect all EVs like the build quality, I have a feeling it has something to do with weight savings cause my Lexus under the hood is the same as a Camry hybrid but it weighs way more because of all the sound deadening and softer suspension and better interior and what not So electric is definitely not better until they can fix these issues

Thanks for this review. As a current owner of a 2024 Ultra Bee, I'm relieved that the 2025 upgrades aren't that significant. I just hate buying something and investing into expensive upgrades only to see later than the manufacturer obsoletes the previous version. That is so dis-heartening. I can add a TC1000 controller and pretty much be even with this new version.

Good review & I agree with your assessment here. I have a '24 UB and I really like it especially w/ the W9 18/21 wheelset. The biggest upgrade I'd like to see is more range. I get 30-35 miles of range on singletrack primarily in 'D' mode. I'd love to see a 25-30% increase in range in addition to the other upgrades Sur Ron has put into the 25 model or the Storm Bee that weighs a LOT less.

I think it's a significant upgrade. 18kw on the stock controller and still have traction control and regen mode buttons
